  • Hi Daniel,

Thanks so much for reaching out!

We are limited in how much we can assist with customizations as per our Support Policy, but I’d love to help to point you in the right direction.

Have a look at our Themer’s Guide, which can show you which view and templates can be edited in order to help you achieve the results that you are looking for.

If this functionality is a requirement for your intended project, I’d suggest that a third-party developer would be the best way to make this feature happen on a short timeline. ? We maintain a list of developers who work with our plugins on our Knowledgebase here:

    https://theeventscalendar.com/knowledgebase/find-a-customizer/

Let me know how it goes!

    Thanks,

    Jaime

in reply to: How to display past and future events in map view? #1400275

    Hi Peter,

Thanks so much for reaching out!

Adding in a past date range should work to display past events.  Would you mind providing me with the shortcode that you are using that doesn’t appear to be working?

Also, as a first troubleshooting step, could you please provide us with your complete system information in a private reply using the instructions found in the following link?

    Thanks,

in reply to: New ticket form doesn't allow null start sale date/time #1400266

    Hi Bruce,

Thanks so much for reaching out!

I’m sorry to hear that you are experiencing this issue.  I’m unable to replicate the issue on my end, so would you mind taking a screenshot of your ticket setup in the Edit Event page?

As a first step, let’s try to rule out if there is some type of conflict at play.
    This is usually because of:

    1.    A conflict with another plugin

    2.    A conflict with your WordPress theme

    3.    A template customization for the Events Calendar that requires updating

When it comes to that type of issue, it is preferable to troubleshoot in a staging environment if you have one.

A first quick test is to simply temporarily revert back to a default WordPress theme such as twenty-sixteen to see if the issue persists.

The next step would be to go through our testing for conflicts procedure and let us know what you find out.

Basically the goal here is to revert back to a bare WordPress installation to see if the problem persists. It also allows us to pinpoint what the cause of the issue is.

But, before you do that, there are 2 things I would advise:

    1.    Make a backup of your database

    2.    Consider activating a “Maintenance Page” plugin if you are doing this on your live site (to minimize impact on your visitors)

Let me know how that goes!

    Thanks,

    Jaime

in reply to: Events Calendar/Events Calendar PRO & Smart Coupons #1400265

    Hi Jenna,

Thanks for providing me with this information.

Have you tried switching to a default theme and seeing if the issue persists?  If not, I’d recommend doing so just to ensure the issue is actually between Smart Coupons and The Events Calendar.

Another thing I noticed is that Smart Coupons has not been tested with the most recent version of WooCommerce.  This indicates to me that it might be worth reaching out to Smart Coupons to see if they can assist with this issue in any way.

Let me know how that goes and if you have any other questions along the way!

    Thanks,

    Jaime

in reply to: Importing Venues via iCal #1400261

    Hi Neville,

Okay, not sure why that wasn’t working for me, but I got it working now!

Basically, Event Aggregator will use whatever information you entered under “Location” as your Venue information.  So, working within the confines of iCal, you can append the Venue Name to the Location field and it will be imported there.

You can also just add a venue name to that field, if you don’t want any other information included.

Although it sounds like you may already be doing this.  In that case, I’d recommend starting off by updating your WordPress version to the most recent version (4.9.1) and backing up your site first.

Another thing to keep in mind is that sometimes trying to import with a different source, such as ICS or Google Calendar sometimes helps to import the data properly, so it is worth giving that a try as well.

Let me know how it goes!

    Thanks,

    Jaime

    Hi Pavlo,

Thank you for your feedback.  I can understand your frustration and we are always working hard to improve our compatibility with WPML and translations, and there is a ticket logged for this issue, so it is being worked on.

In the meantime, you can try to follow this tutorial in order to translate strings manually:

    https://theeventscalendar.com/knowledgebase/change-the-wording-of-any-bit-of-text-or-string/

You can also try to reach out to someone who can help customize the plugin for you:

    https://theeventscalendar.com/knowledgebase/find-a-customizer/

Or you can try to reach out to WPML and see if they have any other additional suggestions which can help you work through this part of your site:

    https://wpml.org/forums/forum/english-support/

Thank you for your patience in this process.  Please let me know how it goes!

    Thanks,

    Hi Chris,

Glad you were able to figure it out and thanks for sharing, you are welcome back in our support forums any time!

For now, I am going to close this thread.

    Have a great week!

    Hi Anne,

I apologize if I initially misunderstood your issue.  I have done some testing on my own site and I am seeing the issues that you see.  I believe that this is related to a known bug that is currently in the process of being fixed.

We apologize for the inconvenience caused by this glitch and we are actively working on a solution for this.  I cannot guarantee when it will be fixed, as it’s in the development team’s hands now.  They need to assign it, code it, test it, and schedule it for release.  The good news is that you will be contacted as soon as a fix is available.

Thank you for your patience as we see this through.  Please let me know if you have any other questions in the meantime.

    Thanks,

    Jaime

    Hi Karen,

I did some additional testing on my site and it seems that it can work with both slugs being the same thing.  So you can change it back to the way it was (if you want) and see if the issue still occurs.

If it still occurs, flush your permalinks and you may also want to purge your cache.

If it still occurs then, let’s try to rule out if there is some type of conflict at play.
    This is usually because of:

in reply to: Configuring page title for EducationWP theme #1400197

    Hi Tyler,

Just to let you know, we are limited by our Support Policy in how much we can assist with customizations, but I’d love to help point you in the right direction!

I’ve taken a look at your theme and if you go to the WordPress Customizer, you can hide the Page Title text in the header on any pages you want (like events pages).  You can also add a Sub Heading, like “Events” for your events pages.

In addition, one other thing to look into is the stylesheet that you are using.  You mentioned that you are using the Blank Page template.  You can also play around with your stylesheet options, which determine how much of your theme is pulled in to your events calendar pages.

You can read more about that here:

    https://theeventscalendar.com/knowledgebase/stylesheets-and-page-templates/

    Thanks,

    Hi Frederic,

Thanks so much for reaching out and for your interest in our products!

With Event Tickets Plus, unfortunately there is not an automatic way to have a CSV created without clicking on the Export button yourself.  However, you will find that this is a very quick and simple process to export the data and create a CSV.

You can also check out our free Event Tickets in order to test out some of the ticket functionality.

Let me know if you have any other questions!

    Thanks,

    Hi Pavlo,

Thanks so much for reaching out!  Unfortunately it seems that this is a known issue that we are currently working on.

In the meantime, you can try to use a conditional language shortcode with WPML:

    https://wpml.org/forums/topic/conditional-language-shortcode/

Let me know how it goes!

    Thanks,
