Hi Guys! Please help me to translate venue countries list. I cannot find those in strings though..
https://plmf.w3b.ee/ru/%D0%BA%D0%BE%D0%BD%D1%86%D0%B5%D1%80%D1%82/ludwig-van-beethoven-easter-festival-trio-hemeis/In example above, the POland is not being translated. Since its not the string *i guess*, how and where should I find this list for translation?
I checked similar tickets but there is no answer indeed.

Thanks so much for reaching out! Unfortunately it seems that this is a known issue that we are currently working on.
In the meantime, you can try to use a conditional language shortcode with WPML:
https://wpml.org/forums/topic/conditional-language-shortcode/
Let me know how it goes!
Thanks,

December 6, 2017 at 1:47 pm #1399803Pavlo LukashParticipantRegret its not an option. In order to use conditional language shortcode I have to wrap the English set with the shortcodes like on example below:
[wpml_language language=”en”]english content[/wpml_language].But! All counties are coming from backedn and there is no place to wrap those 🙁
Can you please point me to the exact place or advise another solution.
Its very painful to my customers to have that important part untranslated.

Thank you for your feedback. I can understand your frustration and we are always working hard to improve our compatibility with WPML and translations, and there is a ticket logged for this issue, so it is being worked on.
In the meantime, you can try to follow this tutorial in order to translate strings manually:
https://theeventscalendar.com/knowledgebase/change-the-wording-of-any-bit-of-text-or-string/
You can also try to reach out to someone who can help customize the plugin for you:
https://theeventscalendar.com/knowledgebase/find-a-customizer/
Or you can try to reach out to WPML and see if they have any other additional suggestions which can help you work through this part of your site:

Thank you for your patience in this process. Please let me know how it goes!
Thanks,
Jaime

Can you please point me to the place (PHP file) where is the Countries massive declared.. so I can wrap it with [wpml_language language=”en”].. cannot find the place where the countires coming from (which file). ANd pls assist on how to change it so it will not be affected by next update.
December 8, 2017 at 4:29 am #1401095Jaime MarchwinskiKeymasterHi Pavlo,
You should be able to add the shortcode to your theme’s functions.php file. In order to ensure that this will not be affected by a future theme update, you can create a child theme and add the code to the child theme’s functions.php file.
In addition, you may find this forum post useful as well:

Let me know if anything else comes up!
Thanks,
Jaime

December 8, 2017 at 6:44 am #1401201Jaime MarchwinskiKeymasterHi Pavlo,
I apologize, but I’m not entirely sure what you are looking for. You can get the countries being used by the plugin by going to: wp-content/plugins/the-events-calendar/common/src/Tribe/View_Helpers.php
In addition, if you’d like, you can customize the countries that you use by going to Events Settings < Default Content and Use a custom list of countries.
Let me know how it goes!
Thanks,
Jaime
