    Hello,

I have noticed that many strings are lacking in the file events-tickets-it_IT.po
I could not translate them and I was forced to change the plugin php files in order to insert the translated strings. Luckily my website is only in Italian.
Could you plase solve this problem ? Of course at the next plugin update the modifications I have made will be overwritten.

You can find an partial list of the lacking strings in the attached images.

    Thanks in advance,

    Stefano

    Hi Stefano,

Thanks so much for reaching out!

We are constantly working on improving our translations, and apologize for not having it quite together yet.

I’m not sure how you are translating our plugins, but it’s worth noting that WPML is not yet compatible with Event Tickets Plus, which is why you may not be seeing all of the translations that you desire.

In addition, if you’d like to contribute to our translations and see what translations are available, you can take a look at our translations project:

    http://translations.theeventscalendar.com/projects/

If you’d like to manually change the strings, you can try a plugin like Say What? or follow along with this article:

And finally, here is our Themer’s Guide, which can show you how to safely copy and edit template files, so that you will not lose your work after an update:

Let me know how it goes and if you have any other questions in the meantime!

    Thanks,

    Jaime

    Hello Jaime,

I am not using WPML and my website is exclusively in Italian (it is not a multi-language site).

I have followed the instructions at the link you suggested: https://theeventscalendar.com/knowledgebase/change-the-wording-of-any-bit-of-text-or-string/

I was able to translate in this way dozens of strings.
Still, there is no way of translating the strings I highlighted in the attached images (they belong to the front end RSVP form). My translations are simply ignored.

How can I translate these strings as well, without changing the php files ? TIA

    Hi Stefano,

I’m glad to hear that we are making some progress!  I’m sorry that you still have a few remaining strings that you cannot translate.  You can try to add a snippet like the following to your functions.php file to alter these strings:

Here are a few more resources that you may find helpful:

I hope this helps, let me know how it goes!

    Thanks,

    Jaime

    Hello Jaime,

    the link you provided

    https://theeventscalendar.com/support/forums/topic/string-translation/

could certainly be of help. Is there anyway a place in which I can find the list of all the available filters ? To be more precise, a line of code mentioned in the liked page is:

    add_filter(‘tribe_get_cost’, ‘change_free_label’, 20, 3);

So the name of the filter is ‘tribe_get_cost’. Where I can find all the other filters ?

Another question: I should really change the character ‘@’ as the separator of the time of an event (plase see attached image). Is there a way I can substitute it with the word ‘ore’ (time) ?

    TIA,

    Stefano

    Hi Stefano,

Glad to see that we are making some progress!

Here is a list of all available functions:

    https://theeventscalendar.com/functions/

You can add these functions in after add_filter, as you see in the snippet in the forum post that you are referring to.  So for example, ‘tribe_get_cost’ is an available function in the documentation.

You can change the Date Time Separator by going to Events Settings < Display.

Let me know how it goes and if you have any other questions along the way!

    Thanks,

    Jaime
