  • Hi Peter,

Thanks so much for reaching out!

I tested the scenario that you are describing on my own test site and I am unable to replicate it so far.  With that being said, as a first step, let’s try to rule out if there is some type of conflict at play.

My thought is that there may be a conflict between the PDF extension and something else on your site and this will hopefully help to shed light on that issue.

    This is usually because of:

    1.    A conflict with another plugin

    2.    A conflict with your WordPress theme

    3.    A template customization for the Events Calendar that requires updating

When it comes to that type of issue, it is preferable to troubleshoot in a staging environment if you have one.

A first quick test is to simply temporarily revert back to a default WordPress theme such as twenty-sixteen to see if the issue persists.

The next step would be to go through our testing for conflicts procedure and let us know what you find out.

Basically the goal here is to revert back to a bare WordPress installation to see if the problem persists. It also allows us to pinpoint what the cause of the issue is.

But, before you do that, there are 2 things I would advise:

    1.    Make a backup of your database

    2.    Consider activating a “Maintenance Page” plugin if you are doing this on your live site (to minimize impact on your visitors)

Let me know how that goes!

    Thanks,

    Jaime

    Hi Cos,

You can set up an event to occur twice a month by using the “once” recurrence rule and selecting each date where your event occurs.  You can set something up like this:

I hope this helps to clarify things for you, let me know if you have any other questions!

    Thanks,

    Jaime

    Hi Darryl,

Yes, you should be able to copy and customize all code to a child theme.  In fact, it is recommended to go about it that way, so that when the theme is updated, you will not lose your customizations.

Let me know how it goes!

    Thanks,

    Hi Kristijan,

Here is a screenshot of what an Upcoming Events Widget can look like.  Note that you only see the name of the event and the date in this example:

I hope this helps to clarify things for you, please let me know if you have any other questions!

    Thanks,

    Hi Nancy,

Just to let you know, we are limited by our Support Policy in how much we can help with customizations, but I will try to point you in the right direction.

I’d recommend taking a look at our Themer’s Guide as a first step.  It can show you the views and templates that can be modified and take you through the steps on how to go about doing that.  It sounds like you are interested in modifying the Photo View, so I’d recommend looking at the templates related to Photo View.

If this functionality is a requirement for your intended project, I’d suggest that a third-party developer would be the best way to make this feature happen on a short timeline. ? We maintain a list of developers who work with our plugins on our Knowledgebase here:

    https://theeventscalendar.com/knowledgebase/find-a-customizer/

Also, I did not see a link included with your first response, so if you can provide that link, I may be able to provide you with some more specific assistance.

Let me know how it goes!

    Thanks,

    Jaime

    Hi Paul,

Thanks for providing me with that information.  Unfortunately, it looks like you don’t have access to our premium support, as you do not have a license for one of our paid plugins.

In that case, I’d recommend that you post your questions on our WordPress.org forums so that we can best assist you there.

    Thanks,

    Jaime

Glad to hear that things are back to normal, you are welcome back in our support forums any time!

Since you marked this thread as Resolved, I am going to close this thread.

    Have a great week!

in reply to: Deleting past events in recurring events #1419269

    Hi John,

Thanks so much for reaching out!

If you head over to Events Settings < General, you can choose to clean up recurring events after 1 year (or whenever you’d like).  By default, this is set to 24 months.

In addition, you can give this tool a try:

    https://theeventscalendar.com/extensions/recurring-event-cleanup-tool/

You can also try a third-party plugin, like this one, to help you to bulk delete your events.

Let me know how it goes and if you have any other questions along the way!

    Thanks,

    Jaime

    Hi Stephen,

Thanks so much for reaching out and for your interest in our products!

With Eventbrite Tickets, at this time you can only connect one Eventbrite account / setup one Eventbrite API key.  However you can enter any Eventbrite event’s ID to import it that way, which will allow you to import all of the events that you want.

Similarly, with Event Aggregator, you can also only connect to one Meetup.com account, but you can import any URL that you’d like.

I hope this helps to answer your question.  Please let me know if you need any further clarification!

    Thanks,

    Jaime

    Hi Edward,

Thanks so much for reaching out!

I’m sorry to hear that you are experiencing this issue on your site!

As a first troubleshooting step, could you please provide us with your complete system information in a private reply using the instructions found in the following link?

    https://theeventscalendar.com/knowledgebase/sharing-sys-info/

If you go to Events Settings < Licenses, do you see Valid Key under all of your licenses?

I would recommend removing the keys and re-adding them in.

Then flush your permalinks by going to Settings < Permalinks and Save Changes.

Let me know how it goes!

    Thanks,

    Jaime

    Hi Daniel,

    Thanks for reaching out again!

I’m sorry to hear that you are still experiencing this issue!  As a first troubleshooting step, can you update all of your Events Calendar related plugins?

After doing so, can you set up a test event and create a situation to mimic the issue you are concerned about to see if it still exists?

    Thanks,

    Hi Greg,

Thanks so much for reaching out!

As a first troubleshooting step, can you update your Events Calendar related plugins to the most recent versions, as well as your WordPress version?  After doing so, please test again and see if the issue has resolved itself.

If not, please provide me with the Facebook URLs that you are having trouble with, so that I can troubleshoot on my end.
