    Hi Travis,

Thanks so much for reaching out!

Just to let you know, we are limited by our Support Policy in how much we can help with customizations, but I will try to point you in the right direction.

I’d recommend hiding that whole field and then adding in a custom field with the price that you’d like to display.

You can hide that field by adding the following CSS to your WordPress Customizer or theme’s (or child theme’s) stylesheet:

    .single-tribe_events .tribe-events-schedule .tribe-events-cost {
    display:none;
    }

Let me know if that helps!

    Thanks,

    Jaime

Thanks for reaching out here as well!

As a first step, let’s try to rule out if there is some type of conflict at play.
    This is usually because of:

    1.    A conflict with another plugin

    2.    A conflict with your WordPress theme

    3.    A template customization for the Events Calendar that requires updating

When it comes to that type of issue, it is preferable to troubleshoot in a staging environment if you have one.

A first quick test is to simply temporarily revert back to a default WordPress theme such as twenty-sixteen to see if the issue persists.

The next step would be to go through our testing for conflicts procedure and let us know what you find out.

Basically the goal here is to revert back to a bare WordPress installation to see if the problem persists. It also allows us to pinpoint what the cause of the issue is.

But, before you do that, there are 2 things I would advise:

    1.    Make a backup of your database

    2.    Consider activating a “Maintenance Page” plugin if you are doing this on your live site (to minimize impact on your visitors)

Let me know how that goes!

    Thanks,

    Jaime

in reply to: Importing Events from XML #1461168

    Hi Monika,

Thanks so much for reaching out!

Our Event Aggregator (EA) product only imports from the iCal format or specific APIs (e.g. from one The Events Calendar site to another). It does not handle XML.

If you can get your data in an iCal format (check it validates, like at http://severinghaus.org/projects/icv/), I’d say it would work with EA.

Alternatively, you could use our CSV import or the native WordPress Importer (which is XML but a very specific format, really only useful if exported from one WordPress site to another).

Last but not least, we have a pretty great Refund Policy so you can buy one or many of our add-ons and thoroughly test them.

I hope this info helps. Let me know if you have any follow-up questions!

    Thanks,

    Jaime

    Hi Mike,

Thanks so much for reaching out!

Just to let you know, we are limited by our Support Policy in how much we can help with customizations, but I will try to point you in the right direction.

To clarify, are you looking to create a custom template that reorders the way things display?

If so, I’d recommend taking a look at the single-event.php template and making a copy of it and editing it to suit your needs.  Our Themer’s Guide can walk you through this process.

As far as caching goes, if you are caching the month view, your ticket availability should still update properly.  Are you seeing something different?

    Let me know!

    Thanks,

    Jaime

    Hi Jesse,

Thanks so much for reaching out here!

Can you send a link of where you’re seeing a featured image that you’d like removed, and/or provide more information about which widget you are using?

Let me know if anything else comes up in the meantime!

    Thanks,

    Jaime

    Hi Garron,

Can you confirm that when you have your default view set to month and default mobile view set to list, that you don’t see the breakpoints show up the way you expect?  You can find this setting under Events Settings < Display.

If this is the case, can you try running through our testing for conflicts procedure and let me know if you still see this issue.

Let me know if you have any other questions in the meantime!

    Thanks,

    Jaime

    Hi Robert,

Timezone troubleshooting can be confusing and difficult to pinpoint, but sometimes changing a setting makes a difference, as it did here.

I’m glad we were able to figure things out and get your Filter Bar working properly again.

Let me know if you have any other questions on this topic!

    Thanks,

    Jaime

in reply to: More help needed: Facebook imports in UTC time only #1460768

    Hi Shari,

Thanks for providing me with these links.  Are you seeing the same issue with all of your imports, or just with certain Facebook pages?  Are you the administrator of these pages?

I imported the events from this page: https://www.facebook.com/ArtsSD/ and saw the same results that you had, with the timezone set to UTC -5.  I’m wondering if this is something set on the Facebook page itself, because that is not the timezone that you have set on your site and yet you see these results.

    Let me know your thoughts!

    Thanks,

    Jaime

    Hi Sam,

Thanks so much for reaching out!

There isn’t really an easy way to achieve that functionality out of the box.  As you’ve found, you may be able to edit the template you are referring to in order to get close to what you are looking to achieve.

You can also add in images on the backend with the addition of a third-party plugin photo gallery plugin.

If this functionality is a requirement for your intended project, I’d suggest that a third-party developer would be the best way to make this feature happen on a short timeline. ? We maintain a list of developers who work with our plugins on our Knowledgebase here:

    https://theeventscalendar.com/knowledgebase/find-a-customizer/

You can also add this idea to our Feature Requests, as we tend to implement ideas based on customer feedback, so your input is greatly appreciated:

Let me know how it goes and if you have any other questions along the way!

    Thanks,

    Hi Robert,

Thanks so much for reaching out!

Just to let you know, we are limited by our Support Policy in how much we can help with customizations, but I will try to point you in the right direction.

You can try altering that snippet and use tribe_get_venue and tribe_get_organizer to achieve the results that you are looking for.

Let me know how that goes!

    Thanks,

    Jaime
