MemberGood evening Leslie and welcome to the Events Calendar Support forum!
Thank you for reaching out to us.
We are sorry to hear about the calendar displaying in a weird way on your install.
I would love to help you with this topic.I have run some tests and I believe that adding the following CSS rule will help:
#tribe-events-content-wrapper #tribe-events-content {
clear: none !important;
}Let me know how that goes.

MemberGood evening Anne,
Thank you for sharing your thoughts on the User interface.
We appreciate all feedback as it helps us challenge the way we do things and improve in the process.Any new feature / feature review is usually submitted and voted on here: https://tribe.uservoice.com/forums/195723-feature-ideas
How would they know that they need to select a ticket number in order to get the form for their name and email to appear?
The only way they would know is because this is pretty standard on ticket ordering interface to have a default quantity of 0 (or sometimes 1).
In the end it’s a matter of personal preference. Some of our users absolutely prefer to set the quantity to zero. With that in mind, though some customization we could make the default quantity “1” if you are interested (probably adapting the following snippet: https://gist.github.com/ggwicz/ae769afeab864cf42e1233548626d76a).
That would probably solve all of your issues through minimal code in the functions.php of your theme.
It would not change the labeling as you suggested (that would require some actual template overrides at this point), but it would certainly make things crystal clear.
Let me know if you are willing to put that in place on your site (I’ll gladly help out).
Best regards,
Geoff B.

MemberGood evening Karly and welcome back!
Thank you for reaching out to us.
I would love to help you with this topic again.
I am sorry to see this did not get resolved as I expected. So I went ahead and investigated this a bit further.
To make a long story short and in full disclosure, changing the behaviour here counters another important change that was made to the code which would in turn create other unwanted behaviours. As such, the Dev notes are that they need to go back to the drawing board and re-structure this feature properly.
All that I can tell you for now is that it is scheduled to go through one of our next maintenance release cycles.I wish I had a better answer for you, but for now it’s the best one I have unfortunately.
Thank you for being on the ball as always, it helps us grow.
Best regards,

MemberGood evening Steve,
Thank you for the system information.
I am not sure if the suggestions I gave you had any impact.
Would you care to comment on these ?I would absolutely recommend the PHP upgrade if possible (you might want to talk to your web host about this).
Furthermore, could you send me a screenshot of your settings under Events -> Settings -> General ?
Could you also tell me what your WP memory limit is set at in your wp-config.php file ?
Finally, is it possible at some point that there was a caching plugin on this website ?
Have a great day!

MemberGood evening Julie,
Thank you for the files.
I am having a hard time reproducing on my installation.
This leads me to a couple of questions:
- Is there anything setup under Events -> Settings -> Default Content ? If so, could you temporarily remove that ?
- Is the problem present when you create a fresh “dummy” event from scratch (without using a saved venue) ?
Thank you for your patience as we are trying to get to the bottom of this. It’s truly appreciated.
Best regards,

MemberGood evening Brandon,
I’m glad you are working on this, but sorry you are dealing with an SMTP connect error.
This is where the built-in testing tool comes in handy. In my experience this type of error is mainly caused by a configuration error.
The settings of the plugin should be very similar to the ones found through your CPanel or in your favorite email software for the account you are trying to use.Perhaps you could share a private screenshot of your settings in case I can spot anything ?
Finally, if that still does not work, would you mind telling me which web host you are using in case it’s an host specific issue.
Best regards,
Geoff B.

MemberGood evening and welcome to the Events Calendar Support forum!
Thank you for reaching out to us and for providing a very detailed analysis of the situation as well as your system information.
We are sorry to hear about the number of queries going out of control on your install.
This is absolutely not the normal behaviour.I would love to help you with this topic.
I am having a hard time reproducing this on my installs.
At best, I get 40 queries when activating the Event Tickets plugin.Based on your system information I believe there might be a plugin conflict at play.
The next step would be to go through our complete testing for conflicts procedure (preferably in a staging/dev environment or local install of your WordPress website) and let us know what you find out.
I realize this can be cumbersome, so we appreciate your collaboration as we are troubleshooting this together.
As a side note, I would start by tackling the settings of WP Rocket (disabling all of the caching) as well as disabling sg cachepress and transient manager.
Let me know how that goes.

MemberGood evening Robbie,
Thank you for the files and for your replies.
I have managed to reproduce a similar bug on my install, but only when the following 2 slugs are set to “cursus”:
- Evenementen URL slug
- URL slug voor afzonderlijke evenementen
What is going on is that these 2 URLs absolutely need to be different for things to work.
Let me know if that helps.
Have a great day!

MemberGood evening Greg,
You have perfectly identified the pros and cons of each solution.
The best solution is option 1 because everything should work as intended and it’s the cleanest.
The downside is that it is a bit more time consuming (with the backups and everything).Option 2 is the quickest solution and is only suitable to people that do not mind the english permalink.
You can get the previous versions of Pro here: https://theeventscalendar.com/my-account/downloads/
You can get the previous matching version of our free plugin here: https://wordpress.org/plugins/the-events-calendar/developers/
Finally, I can’t stress this enough, please make sure you have a complete database backup before rolling back.
It has saved my life many times 🙂Thank you for your patience as we are repairing this.
Have a great day!

MemberThank you for your feedback Paul,
I realize this is less than ideal, but I’m glad it helps in the meantime.
The bugfix is currently undergoing the QA process and it is one of our top priorities.
If you are subscribed to this thread, you should be notified as soon as the fix is out.
We appreciate your patience as we try to squash that bug.

MemberGood afternoon Marios,
I totally understand where you are coming from. I can’t wait for better WPML compatibility myself.
I want to apologize for that and as I previously mentioned, we are making a push for it.To your point, perhaps we should make this clearer than what you can find at the top of the following post: https://theeventscalendar.com/knowledgebase/setting-up-the-events-calendar-with-wpml/
In any case, here is the rundown of how to make things work better on your install.
Keep in mind it is not a perfect solution, but it should buy us some time until true compatibility comes out. Before you do anything, please make a backup of your Database.
- The tickets as they are created are not registered in the icl_translations DB table (as a normal post would), along with their language_code. That DB table is used by WPML as a “map” of what object is in what language.
- As such, they do not get returned for display because, according to the table WPML uses, they “don’t exist”.
- Temporarily deactivating and reactivating the WPML plugin forces an entry in the icl_translations DB table FOR EACH post found in the wp_posts table . EACH entry created that way gets the default language assigned as its language_code.
- You can also achieve similar results by using WPML’s debug page.
- Once that is done, you need to head over to the icl_translations DB table and assign the correct language to each ticket manually.
Let me know how that goes.
Best regards,

MemberHello all,
First off, I am sorry that rolling back did not work.
I believe I have some good news to share.
It looks like a couple of files were missing from the Events Calendar core (free) plugin. These files were added back in the plugin and should help.
To gain access to them, you will need to re-download version 4.2 of the Events Calendar and the reactivate it.
@Benjamin, if that does not fix things for you, I would recommend opening a separate thread so that we can provide support specific to your install.
Please let me know how that goes.

MemberGood afternoon Diane and welcome to the Events Calendar Support forum!
Thank you for reaching out to us.
I would love to help you with this topic.Full disclosure, we are currently looking at providing compatibility with WooCommerce Memberships.
This unfortunately means that, at least for the time being, it is not officially supported on our end. With that in mind, I would still like to try something.
I believe that adding the following snippet in your theme’s functions.php file might prove to be helpful: https://gist.github.com/GeoffEW/ef196ef3154a747a851c771ae45fdecd
Let me know if that helps.
Have a great day!
