We are sorry to hear about the number of queries going out of control on your install.
This is absolutely not the normal behaviour.
I would love to help you with this topic.
I am having a hard time reproducing this on my installs.
At best, I get 40 queries when activating the Event Tickets plugin.
Based on your system information I believe there might be a plugin conflict at play.
The next step would be to go through our complete testing for conflicts procedure (preferably in a staging/dev environment or local install of your WordPress website) and let us know what you find out.
I realize this can be cumbersome, so we appreciate your collaboration as we are troubleshooting this together.
As a side note, I would start by tackling the settings of WP Rocket (disabling all of the caching) as well as disabling sg cachepress and transient manager.
