ParticipantHi, I have wordpress 4.5.3 with the following plugins (woocommerce 2.4.8, event tickets 4.2, event tickets plus 4.2 and the event calendar 4.2). I recently added the event tickets plus and since then, I never got it to work. I am trying to use it on events. I create new ticket – woocommerce and save the event, nothing different is shown on the event, nothing is created in woocommerce and cannot use tickets or add to cart or anything
please advise!!!!!!

MemberGood evening Marios and welcome to the Events Calendar Support forum!
Thank you for reaching out to us.
We are sorry to hear that you were unable to get the tickets to work on your install.
I would love to help you with this topic. As a first troubleshooting step, could you please provide us with your complete system information in a private reply using the instructions found in the following link?
https://theeventscalendar.com/knowledgebase/sharing-sys-info/
Secondly, to your knowledge, do you know if there are any template customizations in your WordPress theme (typically through your functions.php file or through a /tribe-events folder).
Finally, would you have any objection to upgrade your version of WooCommerce if required (after a backup of course) ?
Best regards,
Geoff B.

MemberGood afternoon Marios,
Thank you for your answers and for providing your complete system information.
I believe I have found the main cause of your issues with the tickets.
I hate to be the bearer of bad news, but currently, we do not officially support Event Tickets and Event Tickets Plus with WPML.
The only 2 officially supported plugins are the Events Calendar and the Events Calendar Pro.That being said, we are currently working at expanding and improving WPML support.
Furthermore, some of our customers have managed to get these plugins to work with WPML, but only after several manual interventions directly in their database (using phpMyAdmin). If you are up for that manual solution and are comfortable using phpMyAdmin, I can walk you through the steps.
Finally, if you haven’t done so already, I highly recommend taking a look at the following article to ensure maximal compatibility with our free plugin: https://theeventscalendar.com/knowledgebase/setting-up-the-events-calendar-with-wpml/
I wish I had a better answer for you, but for now it’s the best one I have.
Best regards,
Geoff B.

MemberGood afternoon Marios,
I totally understand where you are coming from. I can’t wait for better WPML compatibility myself.
I want to apologize for that and as I previously mentioned, we are making a push for it.To your point, perhaps we should make this clearer than what you can find at the top of the following post: https://theeventscalendar.com/knowledgebase/setting-up-the-events-calendar-with-wpml/
In any case, here is the rundown of how to make things work better on your install.
Keep in mind it is not a perfect solution, but it should buy us some time until true compatibility comes out. Before you do anything, please make a backup of your Database.
- The tickets as they are created are not registered in the icl_translations DB table (as a normal post would), along with their language_code. That DB table is used by WPML as a “map” of what object is in what language.
- As such, they do not get returned for display because, according to the table WPML uses, they “don’t exist”.
- Temporarily deactivating and reactivating the WPML plugin forces an entry in the icl_translations DB table FOR EACH post found in the wp_posts table . EACH entry created that way gets the default language assigned as its language_code.
- You can also achieve similar results by using WPML’s debug page.
- Once that is done, you need to head over to the icl_translations DB table and assign the correct language to each ticket manually.
Let me know how that goes.
Best regards,

MemberHey Marios,
Thank you for writing back. I am sorry to hear that you got stuck on one of the steps.
What I was not anticipating is that it looks like all of your content lost it’s language assignment in the process (that’s not good at all). Full disclosure this is not the behaviour I have experienced in my many tests.
But more importantly, when things do not go well in the future, I strongly suggest reverting back to the Database backup to avoid loss of prime time.
In fact based on the results you experienced, I would recommend trying this solution this in a non-live environment first.
My apologies for not insisting enough on that point.
” Once that is done, you need to head over to the icl_translations DB table and assign the correct language to each ticket manually.” what needs to be done exactly here?
There is unfortunately no mySQL script available for this. This is why it needs to be done manually.
If you go through that DB table, you will notice that there are element IDs which match the post IDs of these elements (posts, tribe_events, tickets, etc…). You need to go through each entry of that table and assign the correct language code, the correct translation group (trid) and when applicable, the source language code (for the translated version of the elements).
To get a better understanding of how that table works, you might want to read the following: https://wpml.org/documentation/support/wpml-tables/
Once again, I wish we had a less involved / cumbersome solution to offer.
We are working hard with the senior DEV of the WPML team to make this a reality.
Best regards,
Geoff B.

MemberGood afternoon Marios,
Thank you for your reply and for being transparent about your very unpleasant experience.
This helps us grow and improve in our ways.Again, I truly apologize about all the time you had to spend over this.
This will not buy you back your time and efforts, but please know that you are fully entitled to a refund if you want one since you are within 30 days of your purchase. To obtain the refund, you just need to follow the procedure described here. Moreover, I am truly sorry that you had to experience such a terrible experience which, as you pointed out, is not representative of how things normally go with our plugins.
On a personal note, from now on, I will make a point of add much stronger disclaimers to that type of procedure.
I also edited the WPML setup page to make it clearer that we are not supporting WPML for our other plugins and add-ons yet: https://theeventscalendar.com/knowledgebase/setting-up-the-events-calendar-with-wpml/
To answer your question, improved WPML compatibility is scheduled for late summer / early fall at this point.
I unfortunately do not have a more precise date to offer you, nor can I provide a complete list of enhanced compatibility at this point. All that I can say for now is that this is at the top of our new features priority list (hence all the behind-the-scenes efforts).
I truly wish I had a better answer for you, but complete honesty is the very least you deserve at this point.
Best regards,
Geoff B.
