    Hello,

We’ve a problem with selecting tickets. When a customer wants to select a ticket, there appears a message (see screenshot). It’s not possible to go forward to the next screen (cart).
The problem occurs in Chrome en Firefox, not in Internet Explorer.
When selecting Twenty Fourteen, there’s no problem.
Can you help us to fix the problem?
    Thanks!

Good evening Robbie and welcome back!

Thank you for reaching out to us and for the system information.

We are sorry to hear about the error when trying to select a ticket on your website
I would love to help you with this topic.

I have been able to reproduce this issue on your site.
Based on your findings, it looks like there is a theme conflict going on.

The quickest way to go about this is would be to please send me a copy of your WordPress theme / child theme in a .zip file link (via Dropbox or Google Drive) so that I can run some tests on my end (in a private reply).

    Best regards,

    Geoff B.

    Good evening Robbie,

Thank you for the files and for your replies.

I have managed to reproduce a similar bug on my install, but only when the following 2 slugs are set to “cursus”:

    1. Evenementen URL slug
    2. URL slug voor afzonderlijke evenementen

What is going on is that these 2 URLs absolutely need to be different for things to work.

Let me know if that helps.

    Have a great day!

    Hello Geoff,

    I’m afraid that I don’t understand what you mean…

When I change the slugs in the Event Calendar Settings in ‘events’ en ‘event’, the problem stays the same.

    For example : http://smarteducation.be/event/therapeutic-taping/

    Good evening Robbie,

    Thank you for writing back.

They say a picture is worth a thousand words. Just to be clear any slug/word will work as long as the following 2 are different from one another.

    nothesame

Let me know if that helps.

    Hello Geoff,

    Thanks for the reply.

Before the slugs were named ‘cursussen’ and ‘cursus’.
After your advice I’ve changed it to ‘events’ and ‘event’ (see screenshot)
In both scenarios both slugs are different.
Nevertheless, the problem stays the same…(see screenshot)
There’s no problem on IE and Ipad, but only on Chrome and Firefox.

    best regards,

    Robbie

    Good afternoon Robbie,

I’m sorry to hear that this did not cut it.

I also want to apologize for the delay answering. Please note that our support team is unfortunately out on weekends.
For the record, I actually want nothing more than to solve this issue as quickly as possible for you (as I fully understand that this is terrible for your business).

The main issue at this point is that I am struggling to replicate this specific issue on my installs (although I can clearly see it on your install).

After some extra digging, it looks like the solution would be to remove the “pattern” attribute from your WooCommerce button code.
Most likely this piece is added by another plugin or some customization. Normally, this attribute is not there on basic installs.

To get a clear idea of what I am talking about, see the attached image

    pattern

The best way to pinpoint where this is coming from would be to go through our complete testing for conflicts procedure (preferably in a staging/dev environment or local install of your WordPress website) and let us know what you find out.

Let me know how that goes.

    Best regards,
    Geoff B.

    Hello Geoff,

Thanks for your answer, and sorry for my impatience ;).

Probably there could be an conflict with the plug ‘YITH WooCommerce Waiting List Premium’
They did some customization of the ‘ticket.php’ file.

Is it possible to send me to original ‘ticket.php’ file to see this make any difference?

I can’t open the image you send us, so I can’t read the content. Can you send it again?

Also strange : in Internet Explorer, on Ipad/Iphone, there are no problems…

    Best regards,

    Robbie

    Good afternoon Robbie,

    Thank you for writing back.
Yes, it is very possible that there is a conflict with that specific plugin. But I would still recommend testing all of them to be extra sure.

I am not sure exactly which file they have modified (there are a few tickets.php), but I am guessing that you are interested in the one found in /wp-content/plugins/event-tickets-plus/src/views/wootickets/tickets.php

The good news is that you can grab a copy of these original files on your downloads page: https://theeventscalendar.com/my-account/downloads/

Here is another attempt at the image: https://theeventscalendar.com/content/uploads/2016/06/pattern.jpg

    pattern

Actually the pattern attribute having no value will not impact IE or Safari (which is why these 2 work great).

Let me know if that helps.

    Have a great day!
