    Good evening Brett,

    Thank you for writing back.

    1) Can I duplicate events with EC or EC Pro?

Yes you can. Any custom post duplicator should work, but a lot our users love the following plugin: https://wordpress.org/plugins/duplicate-tec-event/

    2) You mentioned that you are working on the ticketing feature for recurring events. Any idea when that is likely to be released?

This is an excellent question. I cannot offer a specific date yet (because it is too early for that). But I can tell you with certainty that it won’t be before the end of the summer (if that helps with your decision).

What I can also tell you is that we really do want to release this very requested feature as soon as possible.

Is there anything else I can help you with ?

    Best regards,

    Geoff B.

    Good evening Julie,

I’m stoked that this helped out!

As per your Google map issue, according to the message I am getting when looking at the Google Chrome console while viewing your website, it looks likes there is an authorization issue “Your site URL to be authorized – RefererNotAllowedMapError”.

I would take a look at Events -> Settings -> APIs and try to remove your Google API key temporarily to see if this helps.

Otherwise I am not sure why Google is not authorizing your URL. Perhaps a question for them.
All I know is that according the google docs this happened because the url on which you are using the Google Maps API, it not registered in list of allowed referrers.

Let me know if that helps.

    Have a great day!

    Hey Steve,

I’m sorry this is still not working for you.

I will check this thread over the weekend (normally we are closed to help with a timely resolution).

Error 500 typically stem from corrupted .htaccess file or not enough memory (you might want to take a look at the .htaccess file or send me a copy).

As a first step, could you add a line to increase your memory as described here: https://docs.woothemes.com/document/increasing-the-wordpress-memory-limit/

Secondly, could you also hit the “Merge duplicates” button I am seeing on your screenshot.

Finally,  can you check if there is an actual page in your Pages that has the “events” slug ? For things to work, it’s important that no page has that slug (since our calendar is actually not a real page).

Let me know how that goes.

    Best regards,
    Geoff B.

    Hello Anne,

    Thank you for writing back.

Actually, the snippet was not meant to be used literally as is. This is why I said that we would need to adapt the snippet.

My main intention was to see if you would be interested in exploring that route. I apologize for not making that clearer.
Full disclosure, I would have to contact the author of that snippet to have it do what you are looking for.

You can actually fully customize what gets displayed on screen.

Just to set expectations though, the scope of our support is mostly to get our customers started on the right track and to help them in case of issues. We unfortunately do not provide complete support for customization.

That being said, you should find all the required information to tweak things to our liking in our Themer’s guide.
There’s even a whole section solely on RSVP tickets.

If you need help getting started with that, I’ll be glad to walk you through.

    Have a good week-end,

    Geoff B.

    Good evening Robbie,

    Thank you for writing back.

They say a picture is worth a thousand words. Just to be clear any slug/word will work as long as the following 2 are different from one another.

Let me know if that helps.

    Have a great day!

    Hey Marios,

Thank you for writing back. I am sorry to hear that you got stuck on one of the steps.

What I was not anticipating is that it looks like all of your content lost it’s language assignment in the process (that’s not good at all). Full disclosure this is not the behaviour I have experienced in my many tests.

But more importantly, when things do not go well in the future, I strongly suggest reverting back to the Database backup to avoid loss of prime time.

In fact based on the results you experienced, I would recommend trying this solution this in a non-live environment first.

My apologies for not insisting enough on that point.

” Once that is done, you need to head over to the icl_translations DB table and assign the correct language to each ticket manually.” what needs to be done exactly here?

There is unfortunately no mySQL script available for this. This is why it needs to be done manually.

If you go through that DB table, you will notice that there are element IDs which match the post IDs of these elements (posts, tribe_events, tickets, etc…). You need to go through each entry of that table and assign the correct language code, the correct translation group (trid) and when applicable, the source language code (for the translated version of the elements).

To get a better understanding of how that table works, you might want to read the following: https://wpml.org/documentation/support/wpml-tables/

Once again, I wish we had a less involved / cumbersome solution to offer.

We are working hard with the senior DEV of the WPML team to make this a reality.

    Best regards,

    Good afternoon Petr,

All of your suggestions have been submitted.

But there is a question about point #5. To quote our Dev team

We already run that date through the date_i18n function, isn’t that sufficient for your  purpose?https://codex.wordpress.org/Function_Reference/date_i18n

    Hello Oliver,

I have followed up on this.
Apparently, these strings should be translatable now.

Can you confirm if you are using the latest po/mo files (from http://translations.theeventscalendar.com/projects or by updating your own using the an updated pot files) ?

Even better, could you send me a copy of your translations files ?

    Best regards,

Good evening Bernard and welcome back!

Thank you for reaching out to us.

We are sorry to hear about that you can’t view the tickets unless you log in.
I would love to help you with this topic.

As a first troubleshooting step, could you please provide us with your complete system information in a private reply using the instructions found in the following link?

    https://theeventscalendar.com/knowledgebase/sharing-sys-info/

Secondly, could you provide me with a URL where that is the case ?

Good evening Gene and welcome back!

Thank you for reaching out to us again.
I would love to help you with this topic.

When I view the community events list (using /events/community/list/), it does not show all the event information, in particular it does not show the description field (which is required), the cost field or the website field. This means that there is no effective way to proof the entries before publishing.

These are very interesting points and suggestions. You are right, this view is not appropriate for effective proofing.

Most of our users prefer to proof through the backend (http://www.jazzoregon.com/wp-admin/edit.php?post_status=pending&post_type=tribe_events) since this clearly indicates which events are pending approval. You can read more about it here: https://theeventscalendar.com/knowledgebase/managing-community-events-submissions/

But that still does not provide you with all the features you are looking for. As such, would you mind opening a feature request here: https://tribe.uservoice.com/search?filter=ideas&page=1&query=community ?

    Best regards,

Good evening Shelley and welcome back!

Thank you for reaching out to us.

We are sorry to hear about the maps no longer displaying properly.
I would love to help you with this topic.

As a first question, was there at any point some kind of caching plugin activated on the site (prior to the upgrade for instance) ?

As per your other question, it could be related. Based on the message, it looks like Google is not authorizing you for some reason.
Most users are able to get the maps to work with no Google APIs at all (at least temporarily). I would recommend trying that as well.

Let me know how that goes.

I notice under Email Notifications in WooCommerce there is no ‘recipient’ indicated for ‘Tickets’, and no way to add that field. Is this related?

No, this should not be related. It’s normal that there is no recipient field there.

Out of curiosity, have you tried using a plugin such as https://wordpress.org/plugins/easy-wp-smtp/ to see if that helps ?

Good evening Brett and welcome to the Events Calendar Support forum!

Thank you for reaching out to us.

I would love to help you with this topic.

You understood correctly. Unfortunately right now, there can only be one ticket per recurring event series which, in essence, means that the ticket is “good” for the whole set of recurring events.
The only current workaround is to not use recurring events but use a third-party plugin such as tec duplicate.

We realize that this is less than ideal. But the good news is that we have started working on that very feature as you can see here: https://tribe.uservoice.com/forums/195723-feature-ideas/suggestions/3685663-recurring-event-support-for-tickets

I wish I had a better answer for you, but for now it’s the best one I have.

Let me know if you have any other questions on that topic ?

    Best regards,

    Geoff B.
