MemberGood evening Ludwing and welcome to the Events Calendar Support forum!
Thank you for reaching out to us.
I would love to help you to manage your specific event needs.
As a first step towards that goal, could you please provide us with your complete system information in a private reply using the instructions found in the following link?

I need help managing events lasting several days at different times as graduates, short runs etc.
The best way to go about this would be if you could give me a specific example of what that might look like.
Here are a couple of questions to help me get a better understanding of what you are trying to accomplish and let’s use the graduates events as an example:
- When you say that the event lasts several days for graduates, does that mean that it’s one “big” event during those several days OR rather a collection of smaller events at different specific times during that period ? (same question for short runs)
- Are there limited spots for each of these events ?
- Do you need participants to confirm a reservation or purchase a ticket for these events ?
Best regards,
Geoff B.

MemberGood evening Dion and welcome back!
Thank you for reaching out to us, for your fantastic words and for sending your system information.
But most importantly, thank you for taking the time to share your great ideas with us. It’s truly appreciated.I would love to answer your questions.
is there any way to add the new “Attendee Information” that is collected during the purchase phase, i.e, First & Last Name of Tickets being purchased to the individual tickets as well as to the administrator that is receiving the new customer order email notification?
That is a great question. The short answer is yes, it is possible.
However, for now they are not built-in features.
But the good news is that here are a couple of things that can be done about it:
- You could create a template override / customization to achieve that. You might want to read our Themer’s guide to get a sense of how that works.
- You could hire one of our recommended customizers to do the customization for you.
- You could suggest it as a feature here: https://tribe.uservoice.com/forums/195723-feature-ideas . That way other people can vote for it too!
One other request would to have the tickets that are purchased be attached to the email as say a .pdf file opposed to embedded into the email body
Adding that feature is actually absolutely in our plans (as you can see here: https://tribe.uservoice.com/forums/195723-feature-ideas/suggestions/5486386-tickets-attached-to-emails-as-pdfs)
I highly encourage you to cast your vote there to help make this very interesting feature more popular.
In the meantime, the best compromise would probably be to use a plugin such as: https://www.woothemes.com/products/pdf-invoices/
If you take a look at their documentation, you can add fields to the invoices by doing a template override: https://docs.woothemes.com/document/hooks-and-filters-in-woocommerce-pdf-invoice/
I wish I had a better answer for you, but for now it’s the best one I have.

Thank you for reaching out to us and for sending your system information.
We are sorry to hear that the shortcodes are not working as intended on your website.
I would love to help you with this topic.I’m trying to add a shortcode to our website to show the upcoming events but it isn’t showing. It’s only showing the shortcode text.
Is there something I am missing?I’ll need to ask you a few questions in order to troubleshoot what is happening:
- Could you provide me with the shortcode in question (as you are trying to use it) ?
- Are you adding the shortcode through the “Text” editor or the “Visual” editor ?
- Can you tell me if the shortcode works when used in a text widget ?

MemberGood evening Richard and welcome back!
Thank you for reaching out to us.
We are sorry to hear about your site crashing with a 500 error after the update! That’s terrible.
I would love to help you with this topic and hopefully we can fix this quickly!Typically error 500 messages are caused by a corrupted .htaccess file
It is possible that something went wrong with that file at the same time as you updated.
The first thing I would try is to re-save your permalinks after any update if you can still access WordPress’ backend.
Secondly, if that still does not work, you might want to try to temporarily use the default WordPress .htaccess file and see how that goes: https://codex.wordpress.org/htaccess
As an additional troubleshooting step, could you please provide us with your complete system information in a private reply using the instructions found in the following link?
https://theeventscalendar.com/knowledgebase/sharing-sys-info/
Let me know how that goes.

Thank you for reaching out to us and for providing your system information.
We are sorry to hear about the prices of your tickets being reset on you! That is certainly unintended on our part!
I would love to help you with this topic.Based on what I can see, you appear to still be using woocommerce tickets version 3.12.1 .
While we still support this plugin, we are also completely phasing that plugin out later this fall.In case you were not made aware of this, Events Tickets Plus is now replacing that plugin (with several cool new features) while still working great with WooCommerce.
The good news are that you were already granted a license for that new plugin and that you can upgrade anytime you like using the following instructions: https://theeventscalendar.com/knowledgebase/moving-to-event-tickets-plus/
In the meantime, adding the following snippet to your theme’s functions.php should fix your specific issue: https://git.io/voBAD
Full disclosure, I am not entirely sure what happened exactly since this only happened to one of your ticket in a very spontaneous way (which makes it difficult to reproduce) 🙁
Let me know if that helps.
Have a great day!

MemberGood evening Luke and welcome to the Events Calendar Support forum!
Thank you for reaching out to us and for your wonderful words.
I would love to answer these questions.
Is there any way we can add a separate number sequence for this event only which automatically gets added to the ticket?
This number will be the seat number as seats go on a first come, first serve basis.
So the first buyer for this one event will have “Seat Number 1” on their ticket and the second customer will have “Seat Number 2” on their ticket.
I am not sure if you are aware of this, but since 4.2, every event gets it’s own ticket sequence number.
For example, if I have an event named “Tomato Army Gathering”, the ticket sequence number will be TAG-1, TAG-2, etc…
Perhaps that would be sufficient for your needs ? If not, I am pretty sure that it is possible to customize that sequence through some template override / customization.
If you haven’t already, you might want to read our Themer’s guide to get a general sense of how that works.
As an alternative, you could also hire one of our recommended customizers to do the customization for you.
Let me know if that helps.
Have a great day!

MemberGood evening Shelley,
Thank you for writing back.
The 4.2.1 was just released and should fix the settings not saving issue.
I would recommend trying it our first. If that does not work out, you can try my brutal workaround.
As a disclaimer, please make a backup before hand and restore it if anything goes wrong. Also, as you might know, any direct tweak in phpMyAdmin is at your own risks (although it should go smoothly if it’s done well. The only 2 downsides of my solution is that:
- You will temporarily loose all of your the Events Calendar settings
- You will need to re-save your permalinks properly
You can find my solution here (it spans over 2 comments, so you’ll need to read them both): https://theeventscalendar.com/support/forums/topic/eventssettingsdisplay-does-not-save/#post-1126309
As for the Google API issue, I did my due diligence and I can confirm that what I said in the previous reply is true.
Hopefully, being able to experiment with different combinations of API keys will help.Let me know how that goes.
Best regards,

MemberGood evening Veronica,
Thank you for writing back.
Great!
As pointed out before, please make sure you do a backup before hand and that these manual changes are at your own risk (although if done properly, things should run smoothly).
So here’s the breakdown:
- You need to find and locate the post_id of your event (as defined in the wp_posts Database table).
- With that in hand run a search by post_id in the wp_postmeta table
- You should find a row that says _tribe_progressive_ticket_current_number (this is the one that you should edit to reset the count)
Let me know if that helps.
Have a great day!

MemberGood afternoon Pau,
I’m sorry this is not working yet for you.
For the iPad specific issue, you have not confirmed yet if the issue is only in Portrait ? Could you tell me if that’s the case ?
As for your code, there are 2 things to tweak for the rules to kick in:
- There was a missing closing bracket
- Removing the comment
Try the following version:
@media only screen
and (min-device-width : 768px)
and (max-device-width : 1024px)
and (orientation : portrait) { #sidebar .tribe_mini_calendar_widget {
width: 62% !important; }}How can I edit the CSS of the calendar widget?
If you take #sidebar .tribe_mini_calendar_widget declaration as a starting point, you should be able to tweak just about anything using the Google Chrome inspector (as explained here: https://developers.google.com/web/tools/chrome-devtools/iterate/inspect-styles/?hl=en)
Let me know if that helps.
Have a great day!

MemberBefore I forget, as an alternative, there are 2 things that might help as we get this sorted out:
- Trying to upgrade to 4.2.1 (which will be released in a couple of hours)
- Rolling back to the previous versions of the plugins (I can help you with that if you want).
Have a great day!

MemberGood afternoon Adrian,
Thank you for the system information.
This allowed me to perform some tests, where I was indeed able to reproduce the issue.
This has now been identified as a legitimate bug which is now one of our top priorities.
I want to apologize for the inconvenience.Unfortunately, I cannot commit to a release date for a fix at this point. But you will be contacted as soon as there is one.
In the meantime, I will try to get a temporary patch for you.
Hang tight as I am doing that.
Best regards,

MemberGood afternoon Paulette,
Thank you for the complete system information.
The good news is that there is nothing in there that would obviously crash the site as far as I can tell. So, this leaves us with 3 possible options as to why your site crashed while updating:
- Leaving the cache on or perhaps not clearing it and re-saving the permalinks after the update
- A theme conflict (either the theme or one of it’s overrides)
- A plugin conflict
I am not sure if you are able to have a test/staging website set up (even a local install), but that would be the best way to test things out (also useful for any other update).
If not, could you please send me a copy of your WordPress theme and child theme in a .zip file link (via Dropbox or Google Drive) so that I can run some tests on my end ?
Best regards,
Geoff B.

MemberGood afternoon Heather,
Thank you for writing back and for the system information.
One thing I notice in there is that you are using a snippet plugin (The Events Calendar: Snippet 950694). Unless you have a specific issue being addressed by it, I would recommend deactivating that plugin.
I also went ahead and deleted the pages with /events as a slug (three pages total).
It appears that following that, your calendar now works (look at http://michiganrunnergirl.com/events/).
All that would be left to do is to create a menu item to it if I am not mistaking 🙂
Let me know if that helps.
Have a great day!
