Paulette
ParticipantHi
I attempted to update the Event Tickets plugin (it was up to date before this) and it crashed my whole site. My host provider had to delete the whole plugin to get it working again.
I am now in a urgent situation as my customers can not buy tickets to my events. I have the latest wordpress version and my theme is Theme Fusion.
Can you please help, perhaps to begin with my providing a link to a previous version of both tickets & plus so I can at least get my events working again.
Please keep the instructions simple as I am not a website developer.
Thank you

MemberGood evening Paulette and welcome back!
Thank you for reaching out to us.
We are sorry to hear about the update resulting in your website crashing.
I would love to help you with this topic so that we can restore your customers’ ability to buy tickets.perhaps to begin with my providing a link to a previous version of both tickets & plus
You are right, this is the fastest way to get things working again.
- You will find the previous version of Event Tickets Plus on your download page.
- You can find the previous version Event Tickets here: https://wordpress.org/plugins/event-tickets/developers/
In case you need to:
- You will find the previous version of the Events Calendar Pro on your download page.
- You can find the previous version the Events Calendar here: https://wordpress.org/plugins/the-events-calendar/developers/
Before you do anything, I highly recommend a database backup (if you haven’t done so already) and the ability to restore that backup if necessary.
As a first troubleshooting step, when you get a chance, could you please provide us with your complete system information in a private reply using the instructions found in the following link?

Best regards,

MemberGood evening Paulette,
Thank you for writing back.
I am super stoked that rolling back to the previous version worked for you!
Thank you also for the system information. However, it seems to cutoff after the letter “B” (I would actually need the whole list).
Could you please send that again so that I can investigate what could have gone wrong with the update ?
Also, could you tell me if the cache was turned on when you attempted the upgrade ?
Best regards,
Geoff B.

MemberGood afternoon Paulette,
Thank you for the complete system information.
The good news is that there is nothing in there that would obviously crash the site as far as I can tell. So, this leaves us with 3 possible options as to why your site crashed while updating:
- Leaving the cache on or perhaps not clearing it and re-saving the permalinks after the update
- A theme conflict (either the theme or one of it’s overrides)
- A plugin conflict
I am not sure if you are able to have a test/staging website set up (even a local install), but that would be the best way to test things out (also useful for any other update).
If not, could you please send me a copy of your WordPress theme and child theme in a .zip file link (via Dropbox or Google Drive) so that I can run some tests on my end ?
Best regards,
Geoff B.

MemberGood morning Paulette,
I’m super stoked that you were able to figure this out and get the site back up and running!
Thank you for sharing your solution. I will make sure I will pass it along to our Dev team to see if they cannot perform certain additional validations to prevent such a thing from happening again.
You are welcome back on our support forums any time 🙂
For now, I am going to close this thread.
Have a great weekend!
Geoff B.
