Good evening Jesse and welcome to the Events Calendar Support forum!

Thank you for reaching out to us.

We are sorry to hear about the fatal error you have encountered while trying to activate the Events Calendar Pro (you did not mention, but I assume that is the case). I would love to help you with this topic.

The first thing we need to do is get rid of the error 500 message.
Could you please read the following and try these solutions: http://www.makeuseof.com/tag/the-ultimate-guide-to-solving-500-internal-server-errors-and-blank-white-pages-in-wordpress/ ?

It looks like there might be some file permissions or some .htaccess issue in the way.

Once that is done, as a first troubleshooting step, could you please provide us with your complete system information in a private reply using the instructions found in the following link?

    https://theeventscalendar.com/knowledgebase/sharing-sys-info/

Let me know how that goes.

    Best regards,

Good evening Terri and welcome back!

Thank you for reaching out to us.

We are sorry to hear that you experienced some challenges while trying to set up RSVP tickets for Community Events. I would love to help you with this topic.

Normally, to get this to work, you will need:

    1. the Events Calendar
    2. Event Tickets
    3. Event Tickets Plus
    4. Community Events
    5. Community Tickets

Let me know if this is what you have in place.

    Hang in there!

    Best regards,

    Geoff B.

    Good evening Bernhard,

Thank you for running those tests.
I totally understand how stressful things can be, especially when you are on a deadline.

In the end, I do share the same goal as you: fix this as fast as possible.

On that note, I am glad you managed to get the calendar to display again. That is a big step forward.

Based on what I am seeing, the only thing to solve at this point is the look of things.
Please let me know if there is more.

Could you please add the following code to Divi’s Custom CSS box:

    .post-type-archive-tribe_events #page-container {background-color: #fff !important;}

Let me know if that helps.

    Have a great day!

Good evening Brian and welcome back!

Thank you for reaching out to us.

We are sorry to hear about the duplicate tickets with no attendee information creeping up on your site. I would love to help you with this topic.

Even though this looks very similar to the other issue, I would like to leave no stone unturned and make sure we approach this with a fresh mind. After all, every install is slightly different.

As a first troubleshooting step, could you please provide us with your complete system information in a private reply using the instructions found in the following link?

    https://theeventscalendar.com/knowledgebase/sharing-sys-info/

Would it also be possible to get some screenshots of the actual WooCommerce order ?

There is also no attendee information attached to the ticket even though it is required.

This might actually be tied to some limitations we currently have with the additional attendee information process:

    1. If you are on the Cart page and you decide to go back to your Event screen, all previously entered attendee information is lost.
    2. If you modify the quantity on the cart page, you can completely bypass the attendee information process.

I am wondering if that specific customer did not “play” with a combination of these scenarios somehow ?

In any case, we do have a couple of tickets open to handle each of these limitations.

Unfortunately, I cannot commit to a release date at this point. But stay tuned, you will be contacted when the fix is released.

In the meantime, you could at the very least make the cart Quantity input non-editable for Event Tickets Plus+ products using the following snippet: https://gist.github.com/cliffordp/66bf05df61ee269c60ff20d6f39e2cab

This would minimize customers bypassing the required attendee info process.

    Best regards,

    Geoff B.

Good evening Julien and welcome to the Events Calendar forum!

Thank you for your interest in our products.
We’ll be glad to answer your questions.

I would like to know if is it possible to limit Tickets for users per events.

The short answer is that this is possible because we hand-over all of the transactional aspect of things to WooCommerce for our Event Tickets Plus customers: https://theeventscalendar.com/product/wordpress-event-tickets-plus/

So basically, you will need to use a WooCommerce plugin that lets you limit purchases per user or more specifically, per user group/role: https://wordpress.org/plugins/woocommerce-incremental-product-quantities/

This works because after all, tickets are nothing more than WooCommerce virtual products.

Let me know if that helps.

    Have a great day!

Good evening Abigail and welcome back!

Thank you for reaching out to us.

We are sorry to hear about the recurring events not showing past the first recurrence in the list view. I would love to help you with this topic.

Based on your system info, I believe the issue can be fixed by heading to Events -> Settings -> General. Look for “Recurring event instances”, uncheck that box and hit “Save Changes”.

You should now see all of your recurring events in the list view.

Let me know how that goes.

    Best regards,

    Good evening Jennifer,

    Thank you for writing back.

Hi! I have not tried switching themes yet. I need to set up a staging site, and unfortunately, I’ve never done that before and I’m not very technical

A lot of web hosts offer help setting up a staging site (some of them for free).
You might want to check if that is your case.

As for switching themes (just for the purpose of troubleshooting), perhaps for now you could send me a copy as previously suggested ? That way, I can do the test for you.

Managing this site is a volunteer role for me, so I may not get back to you for a few days (probably over the weekend this weekend). And no worries on the delay in replying – I knew you guys were not available on the weekends, so was not expecting an answer any sooner than you sent one. ?

Awesome, take as much time as you need, I’ll be there to help you figure this one out when you are ready.

Best of luck in that endeavour.

Let me know how that goes.

    Cheers,
    Geoff B.

    Good evening Richard,

Thank you thank you @Stefan for chiming in.

This does indeed reflect our findings. We have also found this to be the best approach to solve this.

Furthermore, we are currently working on a patch to make sure that does not happen, even with such settings.

Unfortunately, I cannot commit to a release date at this point. But stay tuned, you will be contacted when the fix is released.

    Best regards,

Good evening Jonathan and welcome back!

Thank you for reaching out to us.

We are sorry to hear about this error message breaking functionalities on your site.
I would love to help you with this topic.

This issue was recently brought to our attention.
It seems to be impacting certain sites with specific https / SSL setups.

    Known workarounds include:

    1. Fixing the 2 URL slugs under Settings > General (between https and http) in wp-admin
    2. Using this plugin https://wordpress.org/plugins/ssl-insecure-content-fixer/

Let me know if that helps.

    Have a great day!
