ParticipantHello,
when you translate the Event Calender to the german language the “tribe-events-page-title”” in the dayview has a error and I cant find it.
I searched the whole PO. File. The error is:
“Veranstaltungen im 23. November 2016″ but it should be “Veranstaltungen am 23. November 2016″Thank you in advance.

MemberGood evening Detlex and welcome back!
Thank you for reaching out to us.
We are sorry to hear about the issue you are experiencing with German translation.
I would love to help you with this topic. As a first troubleshooting step, could you please provide us with your complete system information in a private reply using the instructions found in the following link?

Secondly, there might be a couple of things at play:
- It is possible that the language files packaged with the plugin might not always be up to date. If you are unsure, you can get their latest version here: http://translations.theeventscalendar.com/projects . Once you have them, you can simply overwrite the po and mo files found in the /lang/ folder. You can also suggest translation corrections there.
- In your specific case, there are 2 po files: one for the Events Calendar and the other for the Events Calendar Pro. You might need to search both.
Let me know how that goes.
Best regards,

ParticipantHey Geoff,
now you should have my system information.I really searched everything but I can’t find it.
In english it would be “Events on Thursday, 24.11.2016”.

MemberHey Detlex,
I am sorry you could not find what you are looking for.
Your language files should be found in the following location:- /wp-content/plugins/the-events-calendar/lang/
- /wp-content/plugins/events-calendar-pro/lang/
- /wp-content/languages/ (there might be none here)
- /wp-content/languages/plugins/ (there might be none here)
Could you simply send me the po and mo files for german found in each of those locations ?
Secondly, could you please provide us with your complete system information in a private reply using the instructions found in the following link: https://theeventscalendar.com/knowledgebase/sharing-sys-info/ ?
Best regards,
Geoff B.

MemberGood evening Detlex,
Thank you for writing back.
This allowed me to investigate further. You are right. this specific string is hard to find.
So far, my best guess is that the “im” (instead of the “am”) string might be coming directly from WordPress language files.I will ask Dev tomorrow for a more in-depth explanation of how that works.
In the meantime, since my German is fairly limited, could you tell me if “im” vs “am” has to do with the formal vs informal version of the language ?
Hang in there as I follow up on this for you.
Best regards,
Geoff B.

KeymasterHi Detlex,
Just an extra note if your language files get automatically updated and overwritten every once in a while, then you can put this filter in your functions.php file to stop that.
add_filter( 'auto_update_translation', '__return_false' );
Cheers,
AndrasFebruary 22, 2017 at 3:41 pm #1244124George
