We just updated Events Calendar PRO to 4.3.3 and are getting an error that says
Uncaught TypeError: $(...).bumpdown is not a function(…)
The main issue we’re seeing is that we can’t set up recurrence rules for any events, which is obviously a pretty major problem. It looks like others are having this issue as well. Any idea how we can fix it? Or is a rollback to a previous previous version the fix for now? If so, can you send us a download of the version we should use?
Also, if it’s helpful at all we are hosting on WP Engine and we do have an SSL certificate activated.
Thanks a ton.

Thank you for reaching out to us.
We are sorry to hear about this error message breaking functionalities on your site.
I would love to help you with this topic. This issue was recently brought to our attention.
It seems to be impacting certain sites with specific https / SSL setups.Known workarounds include:
- Fixing the 2 URL slugs under Settings > General (between https and http) in wp-admin
- Using this plugin https://wordpress.org/plugins/ssl-insecure-content-fixer/
Let me know if that helps.
Have a great day!

I’ve attached a screenshot of our general settings in WordPress. Both are set to http://, but I assume that’s what we want since only certain pages are secure on the site.

Thank you for writing back.
I totally understand where you are coming from.We are currently working on a patch to fix scenarios such as yours.
Unfortunately, I cannot commit to a release date at this point.
But stay tuned, you will be contacted when the fix for this top priority issue is released. In the meantime, there are only 2 known work arounds:
- Making your whole site secure by switching both of these URLs to https (which you can’t do)
- Downgrade the Events Calendar plugin suite to an earlier version (4.2.7 / 4.26 will work for sure): https://theeventscalendar.com/knowledgebase/downgrading-plugin-past-version/
I wish I had a better answer for you, but for now it’s the best one I have.
Best regards,
Geoff B.

Yes, this fix will no doubt make it to the next Maintenance Release, provided how important it is.
Hang in there in the meantime.
Have a good week-end,

I wanted to share that we’ve just published The Events Calendar 4.3.5, which includes some fixes to our plugin JavaScript and asset loading. These fixes should help address some of the problems reported here.
