ParticipantI’m having an issue where the date picker isn’t showing up similar to other threads I’ve seen on the forums.
I’m using Events Calendar and PRO 4.3.3 and WordPress 4.6.1.
I’ve followed the steps on your testing for conflicts page and switched to the Twenty Sixteen theme and disabled all plugins except for Events Calendar. I’ve also cleared my cache. I still get the error below after following those steps:
events-admin.js?ver=4.3.3:147 Uncaught TypeError: $(…).bumpdown is not a function(…)

ParticipantHi Geoff,
The date picker is not showing up on the back end. I’ve already reverted to an old version of Events Calendar because we can’t have a broken date picker in production. How would be the best way to troubleshoot this?
Thanks,
RichardNovember 21, 2016 at 12:09 pm #1195473Geoff B.
MemberHey Richard,
The best way to troubleshoot this (and also good practice) would be to have staging environment (testing site) setup that is a clone of your prod site.
I also just had a flash, perhaps this is caused by mixed content being served.
Without knowing more, my best recommendation would be to install and use the following plugin: https://wordpress.org/plugins/ssl-insecure-content-fixer/ on either your prod or staging site to see if that helps.
Let me know how that goes.
Best regards,

MemberGood evening Richard,
Our date pickers actually do work with HTTPS.
The issue arises when the SSL setup of a site needs review because of:- Self-signed certificates
- Discrepancies in General > Settings (http being used instead of https) – e.g.: with Set FORCE_SSL_ADMIN to true (in wp-config.php)
- When a site was set to https after initially being setup as http (and there are some resources still being served under http)
In all of these cases, the fix is to do a complete review of how https is being generated and configured.
As for the workaround I proposed, I just assumed that the production server was setup exactly as your staging site.
So at this point, short of taking a look at your live site’s config in the backend, I am limited in the help I can provide to review of your SSL setup. But I am totally game to look and see if I can spot anything obvious in the setup.
Best regards,
Geoff B.

ParticipantHi all,
Just found that we had the same issue in production after upgrading our plugins.
I found that solution 2. (Discrepancies in General > Settings (http being used instead of https)) solved it for us.
Wanted to share this so others might benefit from this.
Kind regards,
Stefan de Jong

MemberGood evening Richard,
Thank you thank you @Stefan for chiming in.
This does indeed reflect our findings. We have also found this to be the best approach to solve this.
Furthermore, we are currently working on a patch to make sure that does not happen, even with such settings.
Unfortunately, I cannot commit to a release date at this point. But stay tuned, you will be contacted when the fix is released.
Best regards,
Geoff B.

ParticipantThanks, Geoff and Stefan. Doing a find and replace of http with https solved the problem for me as well.

I wanted to share that we’ve just published The Events Calendar 4.3.5, which includes some fixes to our plugin JavaScript and asset loading. These fixes should help address some of the problems reported here.
