MemberGood evening Errol and welcome to the Events Calendar Support forum!
Thank you for reaching out to us.
We are sorry to hear about the struggles you have encountered while testing the QR code check-in process. I would love to help you with this topic.
As a first troubleshooting step, could you please provide us with your complete system information in a private reply using the instructions found in the following link?
https://theeventscalendar.com/knowledgebase/sharing-sys-info/
What is the problem?
For the check-in to occur, you must be logged as an administrator (or at least a WordPress role that has the “edit post” capacity) on the same browser used by the app prior to scanning the QR code.
Let me know how that goes.

I would love to help you with this topic. This event is from NNN to NNN on NNN.
The string you need to translate is “This event is from %%starttime%% to %%endtime%% on %%startdatewithyear%%.”
When translation file strings are not kicking in, it is usually caused by one of the following things:
- Your translation files are not up to date
- You are using some customized translation files that have been placed in the /wp-content/languages/ or /wp-content/languages/plugins/ folder. These might not be updated and will override any other file.
The solution is to update your translation files using the pot file. You can do this by using the Poedit software and heading to Catalog > Update from pot file.
Select or Create
The string you need to translate is Select or Create a %s”. Like the previous string, it shpld be packaged in our the Events Calendar language files.
If not, you might want to upgrade to the latest version of our plugins.
Is it possible to change to 24h, instead of 12h?
Absolutely. This is usually defined at the WordPress level.
Take a look at your Settings > General in wp-admin.Let me know how that goes.

MemberGood evening Alex and welcome to the Events Calendar Support forum!
Thank you for reaching out to us.
We are sorry to hear about the issues you have encountered while setting up your calendar with WPML. I would love to help you with this topic.
Before we begin, please note that not all of our plugins are compatible with WPML at the time of writing: https://theeventscalendar.com/knowledgebase/wpml-support/
That means that Filter Bar and Community Events will not necessarily work to your expectation (at least for now).
That being said, another one of our customer has managed to achieve acceptable Community Events compatibility: https://theeventscalendar.com/support/forums/topic/conflict-with-wpml-anonymously-created-pending-events-hidden-in-admin-panel/
With that in mind, it does look like your events are generating just fine: http://eventscardiff.wpengine.com/event/new-test-event/ . Perhaps, you changed something since this morning ?
The ?preview=true is usually a side effect of hitting the “preview” button (when an article is not yet published).
Best regards,
Geoff B.

We are sorry to hear about the recurring events not working as you would expect them to on your installation. Yikes!
I would love to help you with this topic.
By the sound of it, it looks like there is some type of conflict at play.
This is usually because of:- A conflict with another plugin
- A conflict with your WordPress theme
- A template customization for the Events Calendar that requires updating
A first quick test is to simply temporarily revert back to a default WordPress theme such as twenty-sixteen to see if the issue persists.
The next step would be to go through our testing for conflicts procedure (preferably in a staging/dev environment or local install of your WordPress website) and let us know what you find out.
Basically the goal here is to revert back to a bare WordPress installation to see if the problem persists. It also allows us to pinpoint what the cause of the issue is.
But, before you do that, there are 2 things I would advise:
- Make a backup of your database
- Consider activating a “Maintenance Page” plugin if you are doing this on your live site (to minimize impact on your visitors)
If none of this is possible, could you please send me a copy of the latest version of your WordPress theme / child theme via a link to a .zip file link (stored Dropbox or Google Drive) so that I can run some tests on my end ? I recommend a private reply for that purpose.
Please ensure you are using the latest files as found on your actual website.
This way I will get access to any updates or customizations you might have made.Best regards,
Geoff B.

We are sorry to hear about the shortcode not rendering properly on your site.
I would love to help you with this topic. There are a couple of things I am noticing:
- You are using ” as a delimiter (as opposed to ‘)
- You might need to add the extra space before the closing bracket (as stated in the article).
Secondly, in order to troubleshoot, can you tell me if the standard the Events Calendar Pro shortcodes are rendered: https://theeventscalendar.com/knowledgebase/pro-widget-shortcodes/ ?
Finally, could you please send me a copy of the latest version of your WordPress theme / child theme via a link to a .zip file link (stored Dropbox or Google Drive) so that I can run some tests on my end ? I recommend a private reply for that purpose.
Please ensure you are using the latest files as found on your actual website.

I would love to help you with this topic.1) does the site need Woocommerce installed. We are not selling tickets, just reserving seats for a classroom?
No. You do not need to install WooCommerce to use Event Tickets Plus functionalities.
Most of them work with RSVP tickets.
That being said, you could totally accomplish the same results with WooCommerce products that have a price of 0 (free).2) Does Event Ticket Plus allow me to send an email to the moderator email?
I am not sure what the moderator’s role is exactly. Is that person a WordPress admin user ? The organizer of the event ? Something else ?
Would you mind expanding on that? Depending on the answer, you actually might not need Event Tickets Plus to accomplish this.

We are sorry to hear about the tickets not being sent out to your customers.
I would love to help you with this topic.Full disclosure, we are working on improving that portion of the code.
However, until we do, you should still be able to send tickets to your customers. It will mostly depend on 2 things:
- Your settings under Events -> Settings -> Tickets (When should tickets be emailed to customers?). On some installations, the tickets are only being sent when the order’s status is “complete”.
- If at some level the tickets are being sent by WPMail, they might get blocked in the process on certain server configurations.
To fix the second issue, you could use a third-party plugin such as https://wordpress.org/plugins/easy-wp-smtp/ . Just make sure it is configured and tested.
Let me know how that goes.

We are sorry to hear that the stocks are not reducing on your install. Yikes!
I would love to help you with this topic.Typically stocks will reduce according to your settings in WooCommerce settings and the settings found under Events -> Settings -> Tickets.
Would you mind sharing some screenshots of these settings in a private reply ?
In other words, sometimes, the stock is not reduced until the order status is set to complete.
I have tried to reproduce this issue on my site, but I am not able to for now.
Could you please send me a copy of the latest version of your WordPress theme / child theme via a link to a .zip file link (stored Dropbox or Google Drive) so that I can run some tests on my end ? I recommend a private reply for that purpose.
Please ensure you are using the latest files as found on your actual website.
This way I will get access to any updates or customizations you might have made.Secondly, I am noticing an important error message on your site while being on the http://thefarmatsummitwynds.com/happenings-on-the-farm/goat-yoga-farm/ page.
You might want to look that up using Google Chrome’s Developer tools’ console.
Hang in there!

We are sorry to hear about the text overlapping on your site.
I would love to help you with this topic. There are several solutions to this:
- You could simply do a view customization on the monthly view and replace the “View all %s” string by “View all”. You might want to read our Themer’s guide to get a sense of how that works.
- You could replace the “View all %s” string by “View all” everywhere on the site. You could apply the snippet found at the bottom of the following page in the functions.php file of your theme (without the PHP tag at the top): https://theeventscalendar.com/knowledgebase/change-the-wording-of-any-bit-of-text-or-string/
Let me know if that helps.
Have a great day!

Thank you for reaching out to us.
We apologize for the inconvenience caused by this glitch.
We are actively working on a solution for this.Alas, I cannot guarantee when it will be fixed, as it’s in the development team’s hands now.
They need to assign it, code it, test it, and schedule it for release. The good news is that you will be contacted as soon as a fix is available.
Thank you for your patience as we see this through. In the meantime, you could apply the following snippet in the functions.php file of your theme (without the PHP tag at the top): https://gist.github.com/barryhughes/eef63b959317d96ba4de28bebfd4d3e0

Thank you for reaching out to us.
We are sorry to hear about the tickets not behaving as expected on your site. Yikes!
I would love to help you with this topic.Alas, it looks like the test URL is gone from your website for some reason.
Could you look into that ?Additionally, would it be possible to provide me with screenshots of your “Edit Event” screen for that example, including each ticket type’s details.
Finally, I am noticing a couple of things on your site:
- You are several versions behind for all of our plugins. I would highly recommend updating.
- There is a Google Maps API error on your site. The site URL being used is not currently authorized. You might want to look into that.
Hang in there!

Thank you for reaching out to us.
I am pretty sure it should be possible to re-order the agenda to your liking.
However, this feature is definitely not part of our plugins. It would be awesome, but we do not have such an agenda view.
This is either a customization or something that came with your WordPress theme.I would recommend contacting the theme author or the dev that worked on your site.
I wish I had a better answer for you, but for now it’s the best one I have unfortunately.
Have a great day!

Thank you for reaching out to us.
To make a long story short, this one is still at the very top of our new features list.
We have been able to tackle quite a few new features since May 2016, but did not get to this one yet.The good news is that we are getting real close to start work on it.
Alas, I cannot guarantee when it will be released, as it’s in the development team’s hands now.
They need to assign it, code it, test it, and schedule it for release. The good news is that you will be contacted as soon as it is available.
Thank you for your patience as we see this through.Best regards,

MemberGood afternoon Math,
Actually, I believe this is caused by a CSS rule in your theme.
Try adding the following CSS rule to your style.css file or in your Custom CSS metabox:
@media only screen and (max-width: 568px) {
.woocommerce-cart .woocommerce table.cart td.product-remove {
padding-left: 0px;
}
}Let me know how that goes.
Best regards,
