    Good evening Miguel,

    Thank you for writing back.

My point is that I can click on an event in the admin section under events and create RAVPs signups, but the members can’t when the create an event?

The reason for that is that RSVPs are considered tickets.
In fact, the plugin that makes RSVPs possible is called Event Tickets.

The Community Tickets works for both Event Tickets and Event Tickets Plus users.
In other words, to enable members to create RSVP signups you absolutely need the Community Tickets plugin.

when people purchase a ticket to an event who collects the funds?

To be able to offer full transactional tickets, you will need:

    1. Community Tickets
    2. Event Tickets Plus
    3. WooCommerce

Who collects the funds depends on your settings. By default the WooCommerce store collects the fund and it is up to you to pay the different members after.

However, you can also use Paypal split payments for that purpose and set the correct % or amounts of commission. Doing that will pay you and the member upon the purchase.

You can read about it here: https://theeventscalendar.com/knowledgebase/new-user-primer-community-tickets/

Which credit card processing gateway is use?

This will depend on how your WooCommerce installation is configured. WooCommerce supports a wide variety of payment gateways.

But only Paypal split payments provides you with the ability to pay the member and yourself upon purchase.

Let me know if that helps.

    Have a great day!

Good evening Yvette and welcome to the Events Calendar Support forum!

Thank you for reaching out to us.
I would love to help you with this topic.

We apologize for the inconvenience caused by this glitch.
We are actively working on a solution for this.

Alas, I cannot guarantee when it will be fixed, as it’s in the development team’s hands now.
They need to assign it, code it, test it, and schedule it for release.

The good news is that you will be contacted as soon as a fix is available.
Thank you for your patience as we see this through.

In the meantime however, I believe we can work around this with a template override.

As a first troubleshooting step, could you please provide us with your complete system information in a private reply using the instructions found in the following link?

    https://theeventscalendar.com/knowledgebase/sharing-sys-info/

Could you also please send me a copy of the latest version of your WordPress theme / child theme via a link to a .zip file link (stored Dropbox or Google Drive) so that I can tweak things and run some tests on my end ? I recommend a private reply for that purpose.

Please ensure you are using the latest files as found on your actual website.
This way I will get access to any updates or customizations you might have made.

    Best regards,
    Geoff B.

Good afternoon Barry and welcome to the Events Calendar Support forum!

Thank you for reaching out to us.

We are sorry to hear about the update glitch you have experienced.
I would love to help you with this topic.

It looks like something is off with your current the Events Calendar Pro files.
The most efficient approach to fixing this is:

    1. Using a FTP software or your CPanel’s file manager, head over to /www2/8d2/www.hopechurchfamily.org/web/wp-content/plugins/
    2. Find and manually delete the /events-calendar-pro/ folder
    3. Reinstall “from scratch” (using your downloaded zip file)
    4. Activate the plugin

Let me know how that goes.

    Best regards,
    Geoff B.

Good afternoon Garry and welcome back!

Thank you for reaching out to us.

We are sorry to hear about the update issues you are having.
I would love to help you with this topic.

As a side note, you might consider updating your WordPress version (with the proper backup and update tests) at some point since it will soon be several years old.

Simply put, most plugins tend to work better with the WordPress version released around the same time they were.

In any case, upgrading from 3.x to our recent calendar is a big update which should go smoothly.
But here again, a more recent version of WordPress would help guarantee that.

In any case, to make this as easy as can be, here is the recommended approach:

    • Backup your database and your current the Events Calendar plugins
    • Deactivate and delete all the Events Calendar plugins (this will not delete events).
    • Download the latest versions from https://theeventscalendar.com/my-account/downloads/
    • Install and activate
    • Enter your license key

Let me know how that goes.

    Best regards,

Good afternoon Neil and welcome back!

Thank you for reaching out to us.
I would love to help you with this topic.

The best way to handle this is through CSS.

Try adding the following CSS rule to your style.css file or in your Custom CSS metabox:

    .post-thumbnail img, .wp-post-image, img.size-full, img.size-large {
    margin: 0px auto;
    display: block !important;
    }

If you are looking to limit that rule to desktop only, you might have to wrap the rule inside

    @media only screen and (max-width : 992px) { }

Let me know how that goes.

    Best regards,

    Can you confirm ?

Could you please send me a copy of the latest version of your WordPress theme / child theme via a link to a .zip file link (stored Dropbox or Google Drive) so that I can run some tests on my end ? I recommend a private reply for that purpose.

Good afternoon David and welcome back!

Thank you for reaching out to us.

We are sorry to hear about the permalink newsroom being taken over on your site. Yikes!
I would love to help you with this topic.

Technically, our plugin only needs exclusivity on the slugs defined under Events -> Settings -> General. In other words, there can be no “real page” that can have that same slug.

I do not know if that is the case on your end ? If it is, simply change the slug and re-save your permalinks.

In fact, can you send me a screenshot of your Events -> Settings -> General screen ?

Could you also please send me a copy of the latest version of your WordPress theme / child theme via a link to a .zip file link (stored Dropbox or Google Drive) so that I can run some tests on my end ? I recommend a private reply for that purpose.

Good afternoon Thaddeus and welcome back!

Thank you for reaching out to us.

Simply put, the number of events tend to follow the Number of events to show by page setting under Events -> Settings -> General (or the number of posts allowed by archive page on certain themes).

The good news is that you can customize any view you like.
The only downside is that whatever customization you make to the map view will impact not just your home page, but the actual map view itself too.

You might want to read our Themer’s guide to get a sense of how that works.

So in short, if you modify the number of events returned in the map view, you should obtain exactly what you are looking for.

The other option would be to create a custom page template just for your home page and incorporate the custom map view in it.

Just to set expectations, the scope of our support is mostly to get our customers started on the right track and to help them in case of issues.

We unfortunately do not provide complete support for customization.

Let me know if that helps.

    Have a great day!

    Good evening,

    Thank you for writing back.

The simple answer is that adding cost to RSVP ticket is awesome, but not as common as you might think.

This is why we have snippets and extensions. By the way, these will also work with just the standard version of the plugin as well.

The good news is you are fully entitled to a refund if you want one since you are within 30 days of your purchase. To obtain the refund, you just need to follow the procedure described here.

    Have a great day!

    Good evening Leonardo,

    Thank you for writing back.

Could you specify which “view ticket” link you are clicking on ? Perhaps with a screenshot ?

Normally, the attendee should be able to see their ticket all the time.
Perhaps, this is related to your specific setup.

As a first troubleshooting step, could you please provide us with your complete system information in a private reply using the instructions found in the following link?

    https://theeventscalendar.com/knowledgebase/sharing-sys-info/

Could you also tell me if you have any custom WordPress roles in place (for attendees for example) ?

    Hang in there!
