Page with permalink "newsroom" get's overridden by events template

I don’t know what part of the plugin causes this, and would love to disable it, instead of overriding the default template. It seems the plugin looks for the substring “news” in the permalink, then overrides that template.

We are sorry to hear about the permalink newsroom being taken over on your site. Yikes!
I would love to help you with this topic.

Technically, our plugin only needs exclusivity on the slugs defined under Events -> Settings -> General. In other words, there can be no “real page” that can have that same slug.

I do not know if that is the case on your end ? If it is, simply change the slug and re-save your permalinks.

In fact, can you send me a screenshot of your Events -> Settings -> General screen ?

Could you also please send me a copy of the latest version of your WordPress theme / child theme via a link to a .zip file link (stored Dropbox or Google Drive) so that I can run some tests on my end ? I recommend a private reply for that purpose.

Please ensure you are using the latest files as found on your actual website.
This way I will get access to any updates or customizations you might have made.
