Hi. I don’t see any site associated with your Community Events license. You can also see this at https://theeventscalendar.com/license-keys/

I wonder if the plugin files got lost in the transfer.

You can just install a fresh copy of the plugin from https://theeventscalendar.com/my-account/downloads/

Once the Community Events plugin is installed and activated, you can go to wp-admin > Events > Settings > Licenses and you should see it there awaiting your license key.

Please let me know how this goes for you.

Hi, Kevin. Sorry you’re experiencing this.

This isn’t currently a known issue. It sounds like it could be related to a theme or plugin conflict, or possibly something regarding caching (since it works when logged in, which is when caching isn’t usually in effect).

I’d suggest following these recommended troubleshooting steps for your own site:

There might be some new updates available. Could you please make sure all your Modern Tribe plugins (and WordPress core) are at their latest versions?

Once you verify you’re on the latest versions, please test to see if the issue is still happening for you.

If it is, please follow our Testing for Conflicts Guide (basically switch to Twenty Seventeen theme and deactivate all plugins and custom code other than Modern Tribe plugins) and see if that helps narrow down the cause of this.

Of course, we always recommend restorable database and file backups before modifying anything on your site.

If it doesn’t, please enable WP_DEBUG and WP_DEBUG_LOG (which will create a file on your server at /wp-content/debug.log if there are any WP_DEBUG messages) and share any debug messages you see while trying to replicate this issue and doing other things on your site relevant to this ticket (such as visiting your site’s home page, events page, single-event pages, and anything else you can think to do).

Then, please share your System Information (while in Testing for Conflicts Mode) in a Private Reply. That will give me a lot of extra information to help troubleshoot this.

You might also see if you can spot any console errors at your site. (If needed, you may reference our KB article Using Google Chrome Developer Tools.)

Let us know what you find out.

    Thanks.

    Hi, Daniel.

I’m unsure the context for which you’re needing this, but maybe one of these can help:

Please let me know if you have any follow-up questions on this topic.

    Hi, Felix.

Could you please clarify if we’re talking about the RSS feed or the iCal feed?

And are you wanting events in the “Private” category removed from the RSS/iCal feed or is the post status “Private”?

Finally, please share any existing snippet(s) you have in place already regarding this topic.

    Thank you.

Hi, Mark. Thanks for your interest in our plugin suite.

Event Tickets Plus (ET+) is our paid add-on plugin that upgrades the functionality of our free Event Tickets (ET) plugin.

Event Tickets Plus enables you to sell tickets via one of our supported eCommerce platforms. The free plugin only enables free RSVP-type tickets.

You can view our roundup/comparison of all the eCommerce plugins ET+ supports.

Our plugin uses your eCommerce plugin of choice, but your eCommerce plugin isn’t displayed for shopping pages. Please reference our Making Tickets KB article (screenshots are from an install using WooCommerce) for an idea how to create tickets for an event.

Site visitors would purchase tickets from each event’s single page/view (e.g. http://wpshindig.com/event/events-tickets-demo/) — if there is an RSVP to submit or ticket to purchase.

The order confirmation email will include a QR code that can be scanned to “check in” someone at the door at the time of the event. It could be displayed on their mobile device or they could print it like any other email. You can read more at Tickets: Managing your orders and attendees.

You could also Display a List of Attendee’s Events.

If your tickets will be free, you don’t need QR code check-in, and you don’t need to collect additional information other than name and email address, you likely could just use the free/core Event Tickets plugin.

    To your specific questions:

We do not have true “bookings” functionality, but people do try (some succeed!) to use it as such because of all the other nice features our product suite offers.

Our ticketing product doesn’t currently support PRO’s recurring events.

If you start to create a ticket for a recurring event, there will be a little question mark notice that reads:

Currently, tickets will only show up on the frontend once per full event. For PRO users this means the same ticket will appear across all events in the series. Please configure your events accordingly.

You should add your vote to this existing feature request for Event Tickets to support PRO’s recurring events.

Something some users are doing right now is using PRO’s recurring events to populate their events calendar but then breaking each occurrence from the series to turn them into single events — basically using PRO as an event generator but not actually using its recurring events functionality on the front-end. Others are just dealing with the tickets on recurring events even though you can’t then tell which occurrence they reserved the ticket for… use this information for your own reference but please don’t take it as any sort of recommendation.

    =

I think it would take significant coding to try to make clicking an image on the single event page to select one of the Attendee Information fields, since those load via Ajax.

    =

Event Tickets Plus does not work with WooCommerce’s variable products. You create new tickets via the wp-admin event edit screen and then the ticket “products” get created in WooCommerce’s system but not actually displayed on the front-end in your Shop.

You could add your vote to this existing feature request.

Last but not least, we have a pretty great Refund Policy so you can buy one or many of our add-ons and thoroughly test them.

I hope this info helps. Let me know if you have any follow-up questions.

    Sorry for the delayed reply.

Which payment gateway are you using?

Sorry for the delayed response, Edouard.

I asked around internally and we can’t remember who wrote this snippet.

First off, please know that such snippets we may provide are outside our normal Scope of Support / Terms, and, therefore, aren’t guaranteed to be kept up-to-date as our products evolve. This one was written a year and a half ago. Our Event Tickets and its Plus add-on have undergone significant changes since then, but it looks like this snippet may not need major tweaking to get it working.

Please explain exactly what you meant by “currently causing problems to admins trying to edit a post where tickets are being sold” so I can try to replicate and possibly fix this one for you.

January 2018’s link seems to be working fine for me: https://cl.ly/1A0u2X3S1t3P

    Do you see something different?

When I imported that URL as a One-Time Import, I got this message:

    Import complete!
1 existing event was updated. 1 new image was imported.

Could you please try one-time import and see if this operates any differently from how it works when scheduled?

Hi, Colin. I’m going to take over this thread for you while Courtney’s unavailable. Sorry for the delayed reply here, too!

Could you please provide Facebook links so I could try to recreate this on my own localhost site? I imagine you’d share 2 links with me for the Silent Auction in Goderich, for example. I’ll import one Facebook URL and then import the other and see if it duplicates for me too. If it does, I’ll be able to look in my database and possibly try some programming things.

    Thank you.

Thanks so much for that detailed report, Andras.

I looked through our plugin history and this problem has existed since Event Tickets Plus version 4.5

I filed this bug with our developers and marked this thread as Pending Fix, which means it should receive a reply once the applicable fix has been released. I cannot guarantee when it will be fixed as it’s in the development team’s hands now. They need to assign it, code it, test it, and schedule it for release.

I apologize for this issue and appreciate your understanding and patience.

    Hi. Sorry you’re experiencing this!

Could you please explain which method you used to set the Photo View as your home page? (https://theeventscalendar.com/knowledgebase/how-to-make-your-calendar-your-sites-home-page/)

Hi, Mike. Thanks for your interest in our plugin suite.

I am unsure what it means to see what machines are signed up. Other than that, I think we have most of what you’re looking for. For all these needs, though, it’s likely you might need to budget for some custom development time.

Additionally, we don’t have plans to provide a native mobile app, but it could likely be built utilizing the WP REST API and our own REST API.

You’d probably be interested in one of our Product Bundles.

Last but not least, we have a pretty great Refund Policy so you can buy one or many of our add-ons and thoroughly test them.

Please note that, in our forums, we want users to post a separate topic for each issue. So, if you buy and get access to the paid forums, we would want to have you create a separate thread for each question — one for how to insert your own terms into each email, another for how to scan the QR codes (if https://theeventscalendar.com/knowledgebase/managing-your-orders-and-attendees/#qr-code-checkins is not informative enough), etc.

I hope this info helps. Let me know if you have any follow-up questions.
