Hi, Keelin.
The RSVP Now and Buy Now texts are customizable via WP’s built-in translation hooks. You can see their code at https://github.com/moderntribe/event-tickets/blob/4.8.1/src/template-tags/tickets.php#L234-L237
- You could add a bit of PHP yourself: Customizing/Changing any bit of text (actual code snippet is at the very bottom)
- Or you could use the Say what?plugin (third-party, not guaranteed or supported by us)
Please let me know how this goes for you.
CliffMemberHi, Jenn. Glad you’re off to a good start!
We’ve got just the thing for you… https://theeventscalendar.com/extensions/calendar-widget-areas/
Please let me know how this goes for you.
CliffMemberHi, Trevor.
By default, the Map View only displays 10 events, but I see yours defaults to 5 because you’re using Divi (we have a solution for that if you need)… but it looks like this has been customized to force reloading hundreds instead of the default.
Wherever that customization is, you should change it to be maybe 20 or 50 or 100 instead of -1 or 750 or whatever it is currently. Then the previous/next navigation should take over from there.
I don’t think these general references are related to your issue, but they might be helpful to you in the future:
CliffMemberHi, Shea/Rich.
This is an example of some data that comes from tribe_events_get_current_month_day(): https://cl.ly/317c1154f815
You could do something like this with it:
$datetime = DateTime::createFromFormat('Y-m-d', $day['date'] ); // 2018-10-04 echo $datetime->format('D'); // Thu echo $datetime->format('l'); // Thursday
You might also want to pass the time zone, but this is just a proof-of-concept.
See https://secure.php.net/manual/datetime.createfromformat.php for more details.
Please let me know how this goes for you.
CliffMemberHi, Katey. Sorry to hear that. For that error, maybe try another browser.
You posted in the Pre-Sales area of our Help Desk from a user account that doesn’t have any purchases associated with it (or accidentally if you forgot to login first).
If you do have a paid account login with at least one current license, please login to that account and then post in one of the paid forums.
If you don’t have a paid account login, I’m afraid we’re not equipped to provide technical support for current plugin users here in the Pre-Sales area. If you’re using one of our free plugins, such as The Events Calendar or Event Tickets, you can request assistance on their respective WordPres.org Support Forums (we do not provide technical support for users there, either–only via our paid forums).
We always recommend restorable database and file backups as well as performing modifications first on a staging site before modifying anything on your live/production site.
Whenever troubleshooting, it’s best to edit your wp-config.php file to enable WP_DEBUG and WP_DEBUG_LOG (which will create a file on your server at /wp-content/debug.log if there are any WP_DEBUG messages).

CliffMemberHi, Nemanja. Thanks for your interest in our plugin suite.
Community Events (CE) is exactly that!
You can see it in action at our demo site: At https://wpshindig.com/events/, click “Add Your Event” in the top menu.
We have Bundles and a pretty great Refund Policy so you can buy one or many of our add-ons and thoroughly test them.
I hope this info helps. Let me know if you have any follow-up questions.
CliffMemberYikes! Sorry about that.
We always recommend having restorable database and file backups as well as performing modifications first on a staging site before modifying anything on your live/production site.
I see you have PHP 5.6+ so that shouldn’t have been the issue.
Please download fresh copies of the latest versions from https://theeventscalendar.com/my-account/downloads/, delete the existing versions you have installed, and then install the latest versions via wp-admin.
Hopefully this will ensure all is okay. If not, it’s likely there’s a conflict with your theme or another plugin, possibly one that’s trying to integrate with our plugin suite but maybe not doing it in the latest-greatest way.
Again, a staging site is recommended.
Please let me know how this goes for you.
CliffMemberHi, Leonard. Sorry things weren’t clear here.
Yes, you can do it that way (from https://theeventscalendar.com/knowledgebase/pro-widget-shortcodes/#featured-venue-shortcode), but each Venue and each Organizer actually have their own single pages. You can get to them from their wp-admin edit screen or you can get to them from each Single Event page.
For example:
- Single Event page: https://wpshindig.com/event/codeforcuritiba-hack-night/2018-10-17/
- its venue meta box links to the Single Venue page: https://wpshindig.com/venue/centro-internacional-de-inovacao-c2i-da-fiep/
Please let me know if you have any follow-up questions on this topic.

October 3, 2018 at 7:28 pm in reply to: Do i need the events calendar pro and filter bar seperately? #1636947CliffMemberHi, Peter. Thanks for your interest in our plugin suite.
Yes, Filter Bar is separate from Events Calendar PRO.
You can visit our demo site at https://wpshindig.com/events/ to check out the differences: https://cl.ly/4fabd03a99ea
Last but not least, we have Bundles and a pretty great Refund Policy so you can buy one or many of our add-ons and thoroughly test them.
I hope this info helps. Let me know if you have any follow-up questions.

CliffMemberHi, Simone. If you don’t have an eCommerce plugin installed (WooCommerce or Easy Digital Downloads), you’ll only be able to create Tribe Commerce PayPal type tickets or RSVP type tickets. The Tribe PayPal tickets cannot be free, and the RSVP tickets cannot be paid.
Please let me know if you have any follow-up questions on this topic.
October 3, 2018 at 6:12 pm in reply to: tribe_get_custom_field() failing after update to 4.4.32 #1636879CliffMemberHi, Drew. I’m glad you found the solution.
Whenever troubleshooting, it’s best to edit your wp-config.php file to enable WP_DEBUG and WP_DEBUG_LOG (which will create a file on your server at /wp-content/debug.log if there are any WP_DEBUG messages)… and using deprecated functions would appear here, usually telling you the replacement function to use instead.
Please let me know if you have any follow-up questions on this topic.
CliffMemberHi, Stefani. Thanks for your interest in our plugin suite.
Eventbrite Tickets is for people who want to run events/ticketing on Eventbrite’s site but display those tickets on their WordPress site.
An alternative is to use Event Tickets Plus (ET+), our paid add-on plugin that upgrades the functionality of our free Event Tickets (ET) plugin.
Event Tickets Plus enables you to sell tickets via one of our supported eCommerce platforms. The free plugin only enables free RSVP-type tickets.
You can view our roundup/comparison of all the eCommerce plugins ET+ supports.
Our plugin uses your eCommerce plugin of choice, but your eCommerce plugin isn’t displayed for shopping pages. Please reference our Making Tickets KB article (screenshots are from an install using WooCommerce) for an idea how to create tickets for an event.
Site visitors would purchase tickets from each event’s single page/view (e.g. http://wpshindig.com/event/events-tickets-demo/) — if there is an RSVP to submit or ticket to purchase.
The order confirmation email will include a QR code that can be scanned to “check in” someone at the door at the time of the event. It could be displayed on their mobile device or they could print it like any other email. You can read more at Tickets: Managing your orders and attendees.
You could also Display a List of Attendee’s Events.
If your tickets will be free, you don’t need QR code check-in, and you don’t need to collect additional information other than name and email address, you likely could just use the free/core Event Tickets plugin.
For displaying events around your site, you could use one of our plugin’s widgets or shortcodes (most require the Events Calendar PRO upgrade).
Bonus: Filter Bar is a sweet addition to any site.
Last but not least, we have Bundles and a pretty great Refund Policy so you can buy one or many of our add-ons and thoroughly test them.
I hope this info helps. Let me know if you have any follow-up questions.
