Clarification on what paid add-ons we need.

I believe the organization I am working for needs the free Events Calendar and the Community Events add-on. They will have about 40 communities across the state submitting their local events around a certain topic. Communities will submit their event, the org will approve and allow the event to go through and be added to the calendar. For that we need the Community Events add-on. The website visitor will need to see a drop down with the community location they are looking for. I looked at your Screen Shots shown at the bottom of the Events Calendar (not pro) page (https://theeventscalendar.com/product/wordpress-events-calendar/). On the first screen shot, the bar of drop-down menus above the calendar that includes time and location is more than adequate for our use but I would like to confirm, specifically, that we would not need to buy the “Filter” add-on for this bar to show. Sometimes it is hard to distinguish what add-ons you really need in order to get the effect. Thanks so much for any help!
