We use Google Sheets (evolved from Google Forms) mostly, to enable club members to sign up for club rides. However, we have some not-so-tech savvy members, some who insist on using things like ipads and fat fingers to sign up for club rides using GSheets and destroy the sheets. Here are the capabilities we have now so need in a plugin to replace the GSheets:
    * Members can sign up on the club web site
    * Members can EDIT their sign up AFTER they are signed up – possible with Gsheets, not possible with Gforms
    * Members can see others on the Gsheet who are signed up
    * Ride leaders can see who is signed up
    * Ride leaders can see how many machines, by type, that are signed up
    * Ride leaders can see a head count of members, co-riders and guests signed up
    * Ride leaders can easily print an alphabetized ride sign in sheet with the club indemnification on it
(we sign IN before a ride so we know who is ON the ride)
    * Sign in sheet can also be used for ride sign OUT – Everyone that started also came back
    * The club has a paper record of who attended each ride

Improvements from a plugin would include –
    – Emailing a ticket to attendees with the names of each signed up rider, co-rider, unique ID barcode, and the club indemnification statement. Member can print/bring the “ticket” to the ride for sign in/out management
    – Portable device (cell phone) app to scan bar codes on tickets to sign people in and out of ride events
    – Digital record of people who sign in/out of ride – actually attended vs signed up but did not show up as well as showed up but did not sign up – ours is not a perfect world
    – Portable device app that enables native sign up, vs “fully responsive” sign up form on web site

Can the Events Calendar do this?

Hi, Mike. Thanks for your interest in our plugin suite.

I am unsure what it means to see what machines are signed up. Other than that, I think we have most of what you’re looking for. For all these needs, though, it’s likely you might need to budget for some custom development time.

Additionally, we don’t have plans to provide a native mobile app, but it could likely be built utilizing the WP REST API and our own REST API.

You’d probably be interested in one of our Product Bundles.

Last but not least, we have a pretty great Refund Policy so you can buy one or many of our add-ons and thoroughly test them.

Please note that, in our forums, we want users to post a separate topic for each issue. So, if you buy and get access to the paid forums, we would want to have you create a separate thread for each question — one for how to insert your own terms into each email, another for how to scan the QR codes (if https://theeventscalendar.com/knowledgebase/managing-your-orders-and-attendees/#qr-code-checkins is not informative enough), etc.

I hope this info helps. Let me know if you have any follow-up questions.

Hey there! This thread has been pretty quiet for the last three weeks, so we’re going to go ahead and close it to avoid confusion with other topics. If you’re still looking for help with this, please do open a new thread, reference this one and we’d be more than happy to continue the conversation over there.

    Thanks so much!
