MemberHi Rachael,
Thanks for following up with some more information here. Are you able to try temporarily disabling (but not uninstalling) all of your other The Events Calendar plugins, then attempting to install The Events Calendar again? Let me know if disabling allows you to complete the installation successfully–if not, we’ll see about finding another way to get The Events Calendar brought back into the fold.
Thank you!

MemberHi Isaac,
No problem! This article provides keyboard shortcuts to open the developer’s console for a variety of popular browsers–check to see if yours is among them! The console is an extremely useful tool for troubleshooting all sorts of issues on your site, and even if you’re not a developer yourself, the logs provided are often descriptive enough to give you an idea of where to look for troubleshooting. I hope you’ll find it a helpful resource in your current and future web work!
Unfortunately, as this conversation is veering well out of pre-sales territory, I’m afraid we may soon be needing to part ways. But fear not! If you should have any other questions or concerns regarding any of your plugins, please don’t hesitate to reach out to me or any of my esteemed colleagues either on WordPress.org (for free plugins) or here on our premium forum sections (for active paid licenses). We’ll be more than glad to assist!
Thanks again for reaching out, and best of luck with your site going forward! 🙂

MemberAwesome, so glad to hear it! I’m going to go ahead and close this thread out since your issue’s resolved here, but please don’t hesitate to follow up with a new post if there’s anything else we can do for you! 🙂

MemberHi Kathy,
Thanks for reaching out, and I’m so sorry to hear you’re having problems with comments on your site! We’d definitely like to investigate further to see if we can’t get things working here.
Unfortunately, if you’re unable to test even briefly with a default WordPress theme or duplicate your site onto a staging environment to complete conflict testing, our options for troubleshooting may be somewhat limited. That said, would you be willing to share a link to an affected page of your site so that we might take a closer look?
Also, would you be so kind as to confirm whether you’re using any additional plugins to power your comments (i.e. Jetpack, Disqus, etc.)?
Thanks, and we’ll see where we can go from here!

MemberHi Isaac,
Thanks for following up! Glad to hear that your core calendar plugin is still working great, at least–if you should have a moment to test your theme during a period of low traffic, or if you’re able to set up a staging site on another server, we’d be more than glad to work through some more troubleshooting with you. I do see that there are a number of console errors originating with various scripts on your single event pages, so that may be something worth investigating if you have time to poke around! 🙂
Either way, thanks for reaching out and for providing some details on the problem. We’ll keep an eye out for any similar reports in the community–should we uncover a bug on our end that’s worthy of note, you’ll be able to keep tabs over on our Known Issues page.
Thanks again, and let us know if there’s anything else we can do to assist!

MemberHi Rachael,
Thanks for getting in touch, and I’m so sorry for the trouble here. I’d be more than glad to help you troubleshoot this issue and get things back on track as quickly as possible.
Can you confirm that both The Events Calendar and Events Calendar PRO are currently installed and activated on your WordPress site? If so, what version numbers are displaying for each of the two plugins?
Are you attempting to install or update a plugin through the WordPress backend itself? Which plugin fails when attempting to install or update?
Thanks in advance for any information you can provide–we’ll get to the bottom of this issue as soon as we can! 🙂

MemberHi Rachel,
Thanks for reaching out, and I’m sorry to hear you’re having some trouble here! It sounds like you may have accidentally entered your Events Calendar PRO license key into the license field for Event Aggregator–license keys of a different type entered into this field will return as invalid. We have a new user primer for The Events Calendar and Events Calendar PRO that may be helpful to you in getting set up! You’ll want to ensure that both plugins are installed and activated in your WordPress plugins section before attempting to activate your license key. Once both plugins are properly installed, you’ll see the license field for Events Calendar PRO appear on your license keys page.
Give our primer a look over whenever you should have a moment, and let me know if you should continue to have problems with setup or activation after following the steps! If your troubles should persist, I’ll be more than glad to take a closer look and see what’s up. 🙂 Thanks for your support!

MemberHi Ralph,
Thanks for getting in touch–so sorry to hear that your license keys are giving you trouble here! It looks like your keys may still be activated on an older development version of your site, and they may need to be migrated to the new site URL. Our Knowledgebase article on moving license keys will walk you through the process of removing your existing activations and activating each key again–would you mind taking a moment to follow the steps and letting us know if this resolves your issue? You won’t need to reinstall any plugins or reconfigure any settings after completing this process. Give it a try, and let us know how it goes! 🙂
Thank you!

MemberHi Michael,
Thanks for reaching out! You can read more about options for handling ticketing fees for Community Events on our Knowledgebase article here, under the Collecting fees subheading. Split payments are the recommended option for hands-off processing (using PayPal as a payment method), and you can toggle this option on or off in your plugin settings. More information on the pros and cons of split payments and how to set them up can be found on the Configuring Community Tickets Knowledgebase article.
I hope that helps to get you started here! Thanks again, and please don’t hesitate to follow up if you should have any other questions!
January 11, 2017 at 1:47 pm in reply to: Reoccurring Event Option Has Disappeared Since Update #1216913Caroline
MemberHi Heidi,
Thanks for reaching out, and I apologize for the confusion here! We’ve made some changes to our user interface for recurring events, which you can read more about here on our updated Knowledgebase article. Next to the Event Series label, you’ll see a button labeled “Schedule multiple events“–click it, and you’ll find the usual options (plus more) for recurring events nested underneath. 🙂
I hope that helps! Thanks again, and please don’t hesitate to follow up if you should have any other questions!

MemberHi Ilkka,
Thanks for reaching out, and I’m so sorry for the trouble here. You’ll find the email template you’re looking out in the templates folder for the core Event Tickets plugin, at the following location:
/wp-content/plugins/event-tickets/src/views/tickets/email.php
I hope that helps! Let us know if there’s anything else we can do to assist here–and happy editing! 🙂

MemberHi Barnabas,
Thanks for reaching out, and I’m so sorry for the trouble here! Event Aggregator is a set of import tools that are built into our core plugin The Events Calendar, so you won’t find a separate download for this product in your account. Once you’ve activated a license key for Event Aggregator on your site, you’ll be able to access the product’s full feature set from Events > Import in your WordPress sidebar. Our new user primer provides some more information on how to get set up with Event Aggregator and begin importing events–feel free to give it a look over, and let me know if you should have any questions after getting started! 🙂
Regarding your duplicate purchases with us, I’d be more than glad to assist you there, as well. Would you be so kind as to reach out to us with your order number and details using our refund request form? We’ll be sure to get that processed for you right away.
Please don’t hesitate to follow up if there’s anything else I can do to help. Thanks again for getting in touch, and happy importing!
January 11, 2017 at 1:34 pm in reply to: testing upgrades in staging but license won't work #1216904Caroline
MemberHi Jim,
Thanks for reaching out, and I’m so sorry for the trouble here! Unfortunately, domains with .staging or other subdomains aren’t recognized as clear staging sites by our systems–only domains with .staging as the TLD portion (i.e. yoursite.staging) of your domain will be properly exempted from your allowed activations.
That said, there’s no problem with continuing to use your licensed products on this staging site! If you should need to upgrade your plugins at any time, you can either move your license as needed to perform automatic upgrades, or you may simply download the latest plugin updates from your account and upload them through the Plugins section of your development site.
I hope that helps–so sorry to be the bearer of bad news here! Let me know if you should have any other questions. I’d be more than glad to assist! 🙂

MemberHi Yujie,
Thanks so much for your interest in our products! I’d be more than happy to answer these questions for you today. 🙂
- Attendee information functionality is included as part of Event Tickets Plus and will allow you to add any form fields you’d like to your tickets. This will allow you to gather as much information as you need from your attendees, and you can save fields to use again on future events, as well. You can read more about this feature on our Knowledgebase here!
- If an event needs to be rescheduled, it’s as simple as changing the date (and time, if applicable) when editing the event and publishing the changes to your site. The event will be moved to its new date on all calendar views, and all of its associated settings, tickets, and so on will remain intact.
- While we don’t have gift certificate features built in directly to our plugins, you could easily achieve this functionality with Event Tickets Plus using WooCommerce as a payment processor. You can create a WooCommerce product for your gift certificate with a price assigned to it, create a coupon code that deducts the same value from your cart, then have this coupon code sent to your gift certificate buyer after purchase. When they’d like to register for a class, they can use this coupon code at checkout to reduce (or eliminate) the registration fee. There are also a number of gift certificate add-ons available for WooCommerce that should work with Event Tickets Plus.
- This Knowledgebase article should walk you through the process of exporting attendee data for any of your events.
I hope that helps to answer your questions! Thanks again for your interest, and let me know if there’s anything else I can assist you with!
January 11, 2017 at 1:10 pm in reply to: Purchased Event Aggregator. can that purchase count towards import bundle? #1216886Caroline
MemberHi Naomi,
Thanks for reaching out! Due to the way our bundles are set up as unique products in our database, I’m afraid that there’s no straightforward way to apply the cost of an existing single license to a new bundle purchase. Since your Event Aggregator order was placed very recently, the simplest option may be to simply refund your license so you can purchase an Importer Bundle whenever you’re ready. Would you be so kind as to reach out to us with your order number and details using our refund request form? We’ll get that processed for you right away!
Thank you!
