MemberHi Eric,
Thanks for taking the time to reach out and share your work with us! This looks like a great tool that could be very helpful to many of our users! šĀ Our pre-sales forum is primarily sought out by visitors with product feature or purchase inquiries, but I’d love to get your plugin in front of the broadest possible audience. I’d suggest submitting a post to our WordPress.org forum (you can identify your post as “not a support question”)–and feel free to drop us a line via email, as well! We’ll be glad to continue the conversation over there!
Cheers, and thanks again!

MemberHi Iliana,
Thanks so much for getting in touch! I’m afraid that we’re not equippedĀ to provide technical support for current plugin users here in our pre-sales forum. We’d be more than happy to assist you at one of the following locations:
- If you’re using one or more of our free pluginsĀ such as The Events Calendar and Event Tickets, you can request assistance on the WordPress.org support forum for the affected product.
- If you’re a current license holder for one of our premium offerings, please log in to your account and submit a post to the appropriate forum for the affected product.
If you can, please take the time to confirm in your post that you’ve run through our conflict testing steps prior to contacting us–this will save us a step and help us to get your issue resolved that much quicker! š
Thanks again, and we’ll see you in the forums!

MemberHi Hermann,
Thanks for reaching out, and I’m so sorry for the trouble here! You’ll see the Event Aggregator license key field appear as soon asĀ you’ve installed the free version of The Events Calendar–that’s because the functionality of Event Aggregator is built into the core of The Events Calendar, and it’s unlocked via license key with no need to install anything else. However, Events Calendar PRO is a separate download that’s installedĀ alongsideĀ The Events Calendar, so you’ll need to install both plugins to get the license key field for Events Calendar PRO. You can find instructions on how to download and install our free and premium plugins on our Knowledgebase article here. Once you’ve done that, our new user primer will walk you through the remaining steps to get set up! š
I hope that helps to get you all squared away here! Thanks again, and let us know if you should have any other questions!

MemberHi Chris,
Thanks so much for your interest in our plugins! While we do offer support for both recurring events (using Events Calendar PRO) and ticket sales (using Event Tickets Plus), I’m afraid that ticketing support for recurring events isn’t an available feature at this time. š I’m sorry to disappoint! We’re working hard to make this frequently-requested feature available as soon as possible–you can keep up with the latest information on upcoming plugin features by following us on our blog or on social media.
Again, I’m so sorry to disappoint! Thanks again for stopping by, and let us know if there’s anything else we can assist with!

MemberHiĀ Sebastien,
Thanks so much for taking the time to report this issue to us! I was able to successfully reproduce this issue on my test install, and I’ve ticketed this bug to be addressed in a future plugin update. While I’m not able to provide an exact timeline for when an update might be pending (and there may be a small additional delay until our yearly team retreat has concluded), I’ve noted this thread on the ticket, and we’ll be glad to follow up with you once a fix has been released! š
For the time being, you may wish to try downgrading to version 4.4 of our plugins–this may temporarily resolve the bug until we can provide an actual fix. You can find information on how to downgrade our plugins on our Knowledgebase here.
Thanks again, and let us know if there’s anything else we can do to assist!

MemberHi Brett,
Thanks for stopping by–glad to have you here, and glad you’re having a great time with our plugins so far! š
We most certainly do offer CSV sample data for our importing tool, as well as downloadable files that you can use to set up your own CSV files for import. You’ll find all of that data (including fields for importing tickets, as well) here on our Knowledgebase.
And to answer your second question, yes, updating existing events is possible with our importing tools–feel free to import what you have now and make any necessary changes later. Your existing fields should map correctly on future imports, and any new or modified fields will be added accordingly.
I hope that helps! Thanks, and let us know if there’s anything else we can assist with!

MemberHi Adam,
Thanks so much for taking the time to write this up and share it with our customers–this is great information, and we trulyĀ appreciate your efforts to help the greater user community here! š We’re operating on limited capacity here at Modern Tribe this week due to our yearly team retreat, but I’d love to connect with you off the forums and see if we can’t find a way to present your findings with proper formatting (and proper credit to you, of course). Would you mind taking a moment to reach out to us via email with a reference to this thread and a link to your write-up with original formatting intact (such as a Google Doc)? You can choose “Help accessing my account” from the drop-down menu to access the full email form.
Thanks again, and we look forward to hearing from you! š

MemberHi Michael,
Thanks for taking the time to reach out–what a strange issue you’re seeing here with Event Aggregator! We’d certainly love to take a closer look and see what’s happening here. Would you be willing to share one of your affected Facebook events with us so that we can run a quick import and see if the same issue occurs on aĀ test site? (If you’d prefer, you can submit a link to us as a private reply.)
Thank you!

MemberHi Fation,
Thanks for reaching out! I’m afraid that there is no built-in mechanism in Community Events that will detect the number of event submissions per user and request payment (or not) accordingly. If you’re interested in having this feature implemented, I’d suggest reaching out to one of our listed third-party developers who work with our plugins–I’m sure one of them would be more than glad to assist!
If you’re looking for a solution that might work with the tools currently in place, I’d suggest creating a WooCommerce product for paid event packages and requesting that users withĀ multiple events purchase this product before submitting their events. You can then configure Community Events to set user-submitted eventsĀ to “Draft” or “Pending Review” status after submission. When events come in from your users, they won’t be published to the site until they’re reviewed and approved manually–simply confirm that the user has submitted payment for their event package, then publish the events if all looks good there. š
I hope that helps to get you started! Thanks again, and let us know if you should have any other questions!

MemberHi Marcela,
Thanks for reaching out! Tickets addedĀ to an event or other post type will be listed in reverse order from when they were added, meaning that the last ticket added will be at the top of list on the front end. As there’s no way to automatically sort tickets or group them by type, I’d suggest adding your tickets in reverse order to ensure the proper display on your event.
If you’re interested in seeing more ticket sorting and reordering options added to Event Tickets Plus, we’d be glad to get your feedback over on our UserVoice forum–please don’t hesitate to pay us a visit over there and submit your suggestions for future updates!
Thanks again, and let us know if you should have any other questions!

MemberHi Steven,
Thanks for reaching out–great question! At the moment, we don’t have any means of automatically syncing events between two separate installs of The Events Calendar (or Events Calendar PRO). If you’re looking to share a certain subset of events across multiple sites, I would suggest a solution based around Event Aggregator with the following steps:
- Create a Google Calendar that houses only the events you’d like to share across your sites.
- Activate Event Aggregator on the sites you’d like to have display these events. (Currently, any EA license can be activated on up to 10 separate sites, including sub-sites on a multisite network. If you need more than 10 activations, you’ll need to purchase multiple licenses.)
- Create a scheduled import from this Google Calendar that will automatically import from this calendar at the intervals you specify. You can read more about how to set this up on our Knowledgebase here.
This will ensure that your events are automatically populated across your sites without needing to enter data multiple times–just one entry per event on the Google Calendar, and the events will automatically populate the next time the scheduled import jobs run.
Hopefully you’ll find this a workable solution for your setup! Thanks again, and let us know if you should have any other questions!
