MemberHi Susan,
Thanks for following up! ๐
Does the suggest event interact with the calendar or do we have to add the events by manually retyping?
Our Community Events plugin provides an “add event” form that you can share with your users for collecting full event submissions. These user-submitted events can then be saved as drafts or published immediately to your calendar, depending on your plugin settings. If a user-submitted event is added to your drafts, you can simply approve the event and move it directly to “published” status–no retyping needed. Your users will enter all the data for you!
I would like to see a sample of the calendar that has catagory breakouts if you have one. Could you send me the link?
Certainly! You can find our WP Shindig demo site’s main calendar at the following URL:
Clicking on any category link within this calendar will display a separate calendar view with only the events from the selected category. Here’s an example of one such category view:
http://wpshindig.com/events/category/tech-meetups/
I also want to know if the wordpress calendar code can be imbedded into any website that has an embed feature? I use some weebly website platforms.
While we don’t offer any non-WordPress calendar solutions at this time, you could feasibly embed an existing calendar page into another site by using an iframe. Should we expand our product offerings to include software for non-WordPress platforms in the future, you’ll hear about it first on our blog, newsletter, or social media pages–feel free to follow us at any or all of the listed locations if you’d like to keep in the loop! ๐
Let me know if you should have any other questions here! Cheers, and thanks again for your interest!

MemberHi Courtney,
Thanks so much for stopping by–happy to answer these questions for you! ๐
- Yes! If Event Aggregator is used to import a Facebook event with images, the main image for that event will be imported as the featured image for that event.
- Events imported using Event Aggregator are imported as the custom post type tribe_events, which is used by our calendar plugins The Events Calendar and Events Calendar PRO. If you’d like to display those event details as part of a theme, as well, you can adapt the code used by your theme to pull posts from that custom post type. Our Themer’s Guide may be helpful to you if you’re interested in exploring this type of customization further!
I hope that helps to get you started here! Thanks again, and let me know if you should have any other questions!

MemberHi Kevin,
Thanks for getting in touch. You can think of your purchase as like a magazine subscription–each purchase grants one year of service, meaning support and updates. At the end of the year, you will lose your access to our support forums and any new updates of the plugin. However, the plugin itself will keep working.ย (The sole exception to this rule is our Event Aggregator plugin, which relies on our own cloud-based servers for performing import tasks.) If you should choose to renew your license, you’ll get another year of access at our discounted renewal rate. Does that clear things up?
I hope that helps! If you should have any other questions or if I can do anything else to assist, please let me know. Thanks again!

MemberHi Ian,
Thanks so much for your interest in our plugins! My suggested method for accomplishing this type of setup with just one product in WooCommerce would be to create a single WordPress post or page for your course, attach your single ticket to this event (after enabling tickets for the desired post type in your plugin settings), then create a drop-down selector for the user’s desired date using our Attendee Information feature. Note that custom fields added in this manner won’t change the actual type of the ticket, so all tickets will still come from the same pool of stock (if you’ve set a stock limit for your tickets), and you’ll need to manually track which users have registered for which specific dates. However, this method will almost certainly give you the purchase flow that you’re looking for here! ๐
I hope that helps to get you started! Thanks again, and please don’t hesitate to follow up if you should have any other questions!

MemberHi Andrew,
Thanks for stopping by! If you’re looking to create an event series with Events Calendar PRO that does not follow any sort of pattern with its recurrences, you’ll want to use the single event option when creating your series. Simply select this option from the drop-down menu provided, choose the date that you’d like your next event to occur on, and repeat as many times as needed! You can read more about how to set up recurring events with Events Calendar PRO on our Knowledgebase here.
I hope that helps! ๐ Thanks again, and please don’t hesitate to let me know if you should have any other questions!

MemberHi Richard,
Thanks so much for stopping by and checking out our plugins! To be sure I’m understanding you correctly, can you confirm that the below accurately describes the functionality that you’re seeking for your site?
- Users may purchase course registrations individually or in bundles from a certain location on the site–these essentially function as credits
- After course registrations have been purchased, these credits can be applied to one or more registrations on a calendar of events
- Events are recurring, and users should be able to register for an individual event within a repeating series
Event Tickets Plus is our premium solution for paid ticketing and order management, and it pairs with an e-commerce platform such as WooCommerce for payment processing and handling. Though it would require a bit of a custom solution, you may be able to achieve the first two bullet points with a combination of The Events Calendar, Event Tickets Plus (with Event Tickets), and WooCommerce. Course registrations could be sold on a WooCommerce products page, and these could be set up to generate coupon codes, which could then be redeemed towards “ticket” purchases to make the course registrations on the calendar “free”. (Users would also have the option to register by buying a “ticket” directly from the desired event.) However, Events Calendar PRO is required for the automatic creation of recurring events, and full ticketing support is not currently available for recurring events.ย Any repeating events that will have tickets will need to be created individually to ensure proper functionality at this time. If you’re unable to do this, our plugins may not be the best fit for your site until this feature ships. ๐
I hope that helps to clarify things a bit–let me know if you should have any other questions here! Cheers, and thanks again for your interest!

Thanks so much for getting in touch–I’m so sorry to hear that you’re having some trouble with your Event Tickets install. If you can, please take the time to confirm in your post that you’ve run through our conflict testing steps prior to contacting us–this will save us a step and help us to get your issue resolved that much quicker! ๐
Thanks again, and we’ll see you in the forums!

MemberHi Colin,
Thanks so much for your interest in our plugins! If you’re looking to maintain separate calendars for different types of events on your sites, you can use the built-in category functionality of The Events Calendar and Events Calendar PRO to achieve this. Simply assign events for each guild to a specific category, and you’ll be able to link to those category pages as standalone calendars! If you’re using Events Calendar PRO, you can even use the [tribe_events] shortcode to embed category-specific calendars into existing posts, pages, or custom post types. You can see an example of a category calendar on our WP Shindig demo site here.
I hope that helps! Please don’t hesitate to follow up if you should have any other questions or concerns here. Cheers, and thanks again for stopping by! ๐

MemberHi Susan,
Thanks so much for stopping by and checking out our plugins! I’d be more than glad to answer your questions here! ๐
Does this calendar allow for catagory breakouts? (multiple calendars in one calendar ie: arts, music, festivals, council meetings etc.)
Absolutely! You can link to any single category within a calendar of events to view a separate calendar view of just the events that are assigned to that category. You can try this out for yourself–just click on any category link when viewing events on our WP Shindig demo site to be taken to a calendar for that category. Here’s an example!
Also, can we embed the code on multiple websites and if so how many.
Our core calendar solution, The Events Calendar, is a free plugin available on WordPress.org and can be installed on as many separate sites as you’d like! For our premium products, license keys are limited to a certain number of site activations specified by their license type. Personal licenses allow for 1 site activation, Business licenses allow for 3, Agency licenses allow for 10, and Unlimited licenses are completely unlimited. (We also offer Multisite licenses, which can be activated on an unlimited number of sub-sites within a single multisite network.)
Is this a white label cal?
No–all of our plugins were originally developed in-house by our team here at Modern Tribe and are still actively updated and maintained by our developers.
Is there a โsuggest eventโ for users to add an event?
You can open up your calendars to user submissions with our Community Events add-on for The Events Calendar or Events Calendar PRO! User-submitted events can be saved as drafts and edited and approved manually by you or another site administrator before posting to your site. You can read more about this add-on on the products page linked above.
I hope that helps to get you started! ๐ Thanks again, and let us know if you should have any other questions!

MemberHi Julien,
Thanks for taking the time to reach out to us here! It sounds like many of the features you’re seeking can be found in our core calendar plugin, The Events Calendar, with only the map view being exclusive to Events Calendar PRO. You can then add on Community Events to open up support for user-submitted events via a front-end form and the ability for registered users to edit their own events. However, it’s important to note that full WPML support is only available with The Events Calendar and Events Calendar PRO at this time. (You can read more about WPML support as it relates to our plugins on our Knowledgebase here.) While your site may still function acceptably with both Community Events and WPML activated, we can’t make any guarantees of proper functionality with this combination. That said, it might be worth trying this combination first on a staging or development site to see how things work–if you should encounter any issues, you’ll be covered for a full refund under our 30-day refund policy.
I hope that helps to answer your questions here! ๐ Thanks again, and let me know if there’s anything else that we can do to assist!

MemberHi Paul,
Thanks for following up! If you’re looking to get the best value for this grouping of plugins on a community-focused site, you might want to have a look at our Community Manager Bundle! This bundle contains Event Tickets Plus, Community Events, Community Tickets, and Filter Bar, all in one easy bundle at a significantly reduced price. (You can always add on Events Calendar PRO separately, if you’d like to take advantage of the added features of PRO on your site.)
Let me know if you should have any other questions or concerns here! Cheers, and thanks again! ๐

MemberHi there,
Great question! The easiest way to offer ticket bundles and ensure that each ticket in a given bundle receives a sequential ticket number would be to use the WooCommerce Product Bundles extension. Using this extension, you can create your single tickets with Event Tickets Plus as usual, then create a product bundle in WooCommerce and add several of the WooCommerce product for that ticket to set up a bundle of multiple tickets. (This process is detailed further in WooCommerce’s documentation, which you’ll find on the product page linked above.) However, it’s worth noting that bundles set up in this way will not display along with single tickets on your events. In this case, to ensure that both single and bundled tickets are easily accessible to your users, you’ll likely want to sell your tickets directly from your WooCommerce products page. This Knowledgebase article will show you how to do just that with your tickets.
I hope that helps to clarify your options here somewhat–let me know if you should have any questions about any of the above! ๐ Thanks again!

MemberHi Ron,
Thanks so much for your interest in our plugins! I’d be more than glad to take a moment to answer your questions here. ๐
Can the user go in and reschedule their registration/ticket to another date themselves?
By configuring your plugin settings to restrict RSVPs/ticket purchases to registered users only, a user may log in to their account to change or edit their details on their RSVP or ticket. In addition, RSVPs can be cancelled directly by the user. However, paid tickets cannot be cancelled by the user and must be manually refunded and cancelled by a site administrator. Administrators can also manually move ticketed users to another event if the user need to reschedule; users cannot perform this action on their own.
For example, when a user registers for a class, will they have the option of having it load in their calendar, say with Events Calendar (Pro)?
Single events that are viewed in The Events Calendar or Events Calendar PRO will display with options to export the event details in iCal/ICS format or add the event to a Google Calendar. Since our plugins do not support user-specific calendars, events aren’t added to a user’s calendar manually after a user RSVPs or purchases a ticket–users must export events out to save on their own local calendars.
We need to get more information from people than just name and address.
Not a problem! You can add additional fields to collect more information from your attendees using the Attendee Information feature of Event Tickets Plus. You can read more about how to use this feature on our Knowledgebase here.
Based on your stated needs here, it sounds like a setup with The Events Calendar for your core calendar functionality, Events Calendar PRO for recurring events, Event Tickets for core ticketing functionality, and Event Tickets Plus for paid ticketing with WooCommerce might be the best fit for you. However, please note that full support for ticketing recurring events is not yet available with Events Calendar PRO and Event Tickets Plus. If offering individual tickets for your recurring events is crucial to your intended setup, you may wish to hold off on purchasing this combination of products until this functionality is ready for primetime. (As a temporary workaround, you can create a single event for the first date in your recurring event series, add your tickets to that event, and duplicate the event using a third-party post duplication plugin, changing the duplicated event’s date each time to create any future occurrences in the series.)
I hope that helps to get you started here! Thanks again for stopping by, and please don’t hesitate to follow up if you should have any other questions! ๐
