Does this calendar allow for catagory breakouts? (multiple calendars in one calendar ie: arts, music, festivals, council meetings etc.)

Also, can we embed the code on multiple websites and if so how many.

Is this a white label cal?

Is there a “suggest event” for users to add an event?`

    Hi Susan,

Thanks so much for stopping by and checking out our plugins! I’d be more than glad to answer your questions here! ๐Ÿ™‚

Does this calendar allow for catagory breakouts? (multiple calendars in one calendar ie: arts, music, festivals, council meetings etc.)

Absolutely! You can link to any single category within a calendar of events to view a separate calendar view of just the events that are assigned to that category. You can try this out for yourself–just click on any category link when viewing events on our WP Shindig demo site to be taken to a calendar for that category. Here’s an example!

Also, can we embed the code on multiple websites and if so how many.

Our core calendar solution, The Events Calendar, is a free plugin available on WordPress.org and can be installed on as many separate sites as you’d like! For our premium products, license keys are limited to a certain number of site activations specified by their license type. Personal licenses allow for 1 site activation, Business licenses allow for 3, Agency licenses allow for 10, and Unlimited licenses are completely unlimited. (We also offer Multisite licenses, which can be activated on an unlimited number of sub-sites within a single multisite network.)

Is this a white label cal?

No–all of our plugins were originally developed in-house by our team here at Modern Tribe and are still actively updated and maintained by our developers.

Is there a โ€œsuggest eventโ€ for users to add an event?

You can open up your calendars to user submissions with our Community Events add-on for The Events Calendar or Events Calendar PRO! User-submitted events can be saved as drafts and edited and approved manually by you or another site administrator before posting to your site. You can read more about this add-on on the products page linked above.

I hope that helps to get you started! ๐Ÿ™‚ Thanks again, and let us know if you should have any other questions!

Does the suggest event interact with the calendar or do we have to add the events by manually retyping?

I would like to see a sample of the calendar that has catagory breakouts if you have one. Could you send me the link?

I also want to know if the wordpress calendar code can be imbedded into any website that has an embed feature? I use some weebly website platforms.

    Hi Susan,

    Thanks for following up! ๐Ÿ™‚

Does the suggest event interact with the calendar or do we have to add the events by manually retyping?

Our Community Events plugin provides an “add event” form that you can share with your users for collecting full event submissions. These user-submitted events can then be saved as drafts or published immediately to your calendar, depending on your plugin settings. If a user-submitted event is added to your drafts, you can simply approve the event and move it directly to “published” status–no retyping needed. Your users will enter all the data for you!

I would like to see a sample of the calendar that has catagory breakouts if you have one. Could you send me the link?

Certainly! You can find our WP Shindig demo site’s main calendar at the following URL:

    http://wpshindig.com

Clicking on any category link within this calendar will display a separate calendar view with only the events from the selected category. Here’s an example of one such category view:

    http://wpshindig.com/events/category/tech-meetups/

I also want to know if the wordpress calendar code can be imbedded into any website that has an embed feature? I use some weebly website platforms.

While we don’t offer any non-WordPress calendar solutions at this time, you could feasibly embed an existing calendar page into another site by using an iframe. Should we expand our product offerings to include software for non-WordPress platforms in the future, you’ll hear about it first on our blog, newsletter, or social media pages–feel free to follow us at any or all of the listed locations if you’d like to keep in the loop! ๐Ÿ™‚

Let me know if you should have any other questions here! Cheers, and thanks again for your interest!

Hey there! This thread has been pretty quiet for the last three weeks, so we’re going to go ahead and close it to avoid confusion with other topics. If you’re still looking for help with this, please do open a new thread, reference this one and we’d be more than happy to continue the conversation over there.

    Thanks so much!
