GuestHi Theeventscalendar Team,
We sell e-learning courses using videoconferencing. These recurrent courses (1 to 2 times per week) can be sold individually or per pack of 10, 20 … with decreasing prices. Once the student has purchased, for example, 10 courses, he can then book the courses on the calendar as and when he needs (different dates) within the limit of the 10 courses he has bought. These courses would therefore be pre-sold and then used to book on the calendar. Is it possible to do this with your plugin? How ? In this case, can you tell me where the documentation for this feature is located?
Thank you in advance,
Best regards,
Richard.July 17, 2017 at 12:05 pm #1322276Caroline
MemberHi Richard,
Thanks so much for stopping by and checking out our plugins! To be sure I’m understanding you correctly, can you confirm that the below accurately describes the functionality that you’re seeking for your site?
- Users may purchase course registrations individually or in bundles from a certain location on the site–these essentially function as credits
- After course registrations have been purchased, these credits can be applied to one or more registrations on a calendar of events
- Events are recurring, and users should be able to register for an individual event within a repeating series
Event Tickets Plus is our premium solution for paid ticketing and order management, and it pairs with an e-commerce platform such as WooCommerce for payment processing and handling. Though it would require a bit of a custom solution, you may be able to achieve the first two bullet points with a combination of The Events Calendar, Event Tickets Plus (with Event Tickets), and WooCommerce. Course registrations could be sold on a WooCommerce products page, and these could be set up to generate coupon codes, which could then be redeemed towards “ticket” purchases to make the course registrations on the calendar “free”. (Users would also have the option to register by buying a “ticket” directly from the desired event.) However, Events Calendar PRO is required for the automatic creation of recurring events, and full ticketing support is not currently available for recurring events. Any repeating events that will have tickets will need to be created individually to ensure proper functionality at this time. If you’re unable to do this, our plugins may not be the best fit for your site until this feature ships. 🙁
I hope that helps to clarify things a bit–let me know if you should have any other questions here! Cheers, and thanks again for your interest!
