Andrew Gregory
GuestHi
I am just about to purchase Events Calendar Pro but need to confirm it’s capabilities.
I need to create a recurring event that does not occur in any sort of pattern. This calendar would be for a school that is on a 5 day schedule that does line up with the days of the week and changes monthly if there is a holiday/PD day.
Can I create an event called Day 1 and then select multiple occurrences throughout the year(around 40)? For example I create event DAY 1 and it occurs on Sept. 5, Sept. 12, Sept. 19, Sept. 27, Oct. 4, …. (notice each occurrence is not necessarily a week apart to account for a potential holiday). I would want to create this event then select the days that it would occur on ?
Is this possible with the PRO version? Thanks

MemberHi Andrew,
Thanks for stopping by! If you’re looking to create an event series with Events Calendar PRO that does not follow any sort of pattern with its recurrences, you’ll want to use the single event option when creating your series. Simply select this option from the drop-down menu provided, choose the date that you’d like your next event to occur on, and repeat as many times as needed! You can read more about how to set up recurring events with Events Calendar PRO on our Knowledgebase here.
I hope that helps! 🙂 Thanks again, and please don’t hesitate to let me know if you should have any other questions!

GuestHi Caroline
Thanks for getting back to me so quickly. I think I am getting it now.
I still need to purchase the Pro Version, right?
The “Add more Events” button is actually “Add more instances of this event” to the Calendar? Does that sound right? Thanks

MemberHi Andrew,
That’s correct, yes! Only Events Calendar PRO contains the event series functionality that allows users to quickly create recurring events of this type. And yes, you’ve got it exactly right–you can add as many dates as desired for your event by simply clicking the Add more events button for each date you’d like to add. We’re in the process of making some updates to our documentation to better clarify the steps for creating recurring events, so you may see some changes happening here soon! If you should have any questions in the meantime, we’ll be happy to provide any needed assistance over in our support forums! Please don’t hesitate to pay us a visit. 🙂
Let me know if that helps to clear things up or if you should have any other questions! Cheers, and thanks again!
