    Hi Frank,

Thanks for taking the time to reach out, and I’m so sorry for the trouble here! Users who have purchased legacy plugins from us in the past should still have access to downloads of previous purchases under the Retired Plugins heading on their account’s Downloads page. On reviewing your account with us, it does appear that this section isn’t rendering properly for your account. I’ve gone ahead and ticketed this bug for us to address in a future site update–thanks so much for bringing it to our attention!

In the meantime, if you should need access to the latest available download for Facebook Events, we’d be more than glad to get you set up with that. Would you mind shooting us a quick email with your request and a reference to this thread? (Please select the option “Help accessing my account” from the drop-down menu to display the full email form.)

    https://theeventscalendar.com/contact/

Thanks, and let us know if there’s anything else that we can do to assist!

    Hi Charlie,

Thanks for reaching out! Great question–if you’re looking to remove the word “Free” from your reservations, you can use the snippet provided in this forum thread to do just that.

    https://theeventscalendar.com/support/forums/topic/hide-free-under-event-description-when-not-using-event-tickets-plus/

There’s currently no built-in option for emailing your event attendees from the plugin, but you can easily export a list of attendee data for an event and use that information to build a mailing list! You can read more about how to view, manage, and export your attendee data from our Knowledgebase here:

    https://theeventscalendar.com/knowledgebase/managing-your-orders-and-attendees/#exporting-attendees

The third-party add-on mentioned in this feature suggestion may provide another solution for emailing attendees if you use MailChimp!

    https://tribe.uservoice.com/forums/195723-feature-ideas/suggestions/4131133-mailchimp-integration

I hope that one or more of these resources may provide what you need to get started! 🙂 Thanks again, and let me know if you should have any other questions!

    Hi Ivan,

Thanks for reaching out–happy to try and answer these questions for you! 🙂

If I have FB events synced to my google calendar, can I just import from the google Calendar? With that, will the FB event details be visible?

Certainly! It’s worth double-checking your events that are synced to Google, though, just to ensure that the fields have populated correctly. If the import to Google Calendar has retained all of the original data from Facebook, that data will be carried over by Event Aggregator. EA won’t be able to tell the difference between a synced/imported event and one that was originally created on Google Calendar, however, so any data that isn’t present in the imported event won’t be brought over from Facebook.

Will links publish to the original FB event?

Events imported from Facebook will have the original event linked from the Website field in the event details box. Event descriptions that include URLs will also have them automatically converted into clickable links.

    Will images publish?

Yes–if a Facebook event has an image associated with it, that image will be imported as a featured image for the event.

Possible to NOT have image publish?

You can always have Facebook events imported as drafts and remove images before publishing them to your site! Syncing your Facebook events to Google Calendar in the manner described above will also prevent featured images from being imported, since Google Calendar/iCal does not support the “featured image” field at this time.

I hope that helps! Thanks again, and let me know if you should have any other questions!

    Hi Eric,

Thanks so much for your interest in our products! At the moment, it doesn’t sound like we offer anything quite like what you’re describing here, though I definitely agree that an API-based community solution could be very cool indeed! 🙂 That said, you might be interested in learning about two of our current plugin offerings that have proven useful to other users building community-focused sites:

    • Event Aggregator – This all-purpose import tool allows you to schedule automatic imports at whatever intervals you’d like from a variety of sources, including ICS/iCal, Google Calendar, Facebook, Meetup, and even other The Events Calendar sites. Since you only have to schedule each import one time per source, it’s a great set-it-and-forget-it solution if you’d like to pull events from multiple sources and ensure that your calendars are always up-to-date.
    • Community Events – This plugin can be added on to either The Events Calendar or Events Calendar PRO to allow site visitors to submit their own events to your calendar. Site admins will still have the ability to edit and approve events before they’re published to your site, ensuring that you retain ultimate control over which events are displayed to the public. If you’d like to actively engage your visitors in contributing content to your site’s calendars, this plugin might be an option worth exploring.

As always, we offer a full 30-day refund policy on all of our products, so feel free to try out any plugins that you’re curious about! Should you find that one just isn’t a great fit for your project, we’ll be glad to refund your full purchase price.

I hope that helps to get you started! Thanks again, and please don’t hesitate to follow up if you should have any other questions!

    Hi James,

Thanks for reaching out! It sounds like what you’re looking for would involve some combination of the following:

While each of these products would cover a portion of your needs here, it’s worth noting that full support for adding tickets to recurring events is not available at this time. Our development team is hard at work implementing this functionality for a future release, but I’m afraid that we aren’t able to provide a timeline for when that feature might be available. If you need to sell tickets for recurring events, an alternative approach is necessary for the time being, such as:

    1. creating your event series and splitting each event off into a single event before adding tickets
    2. creating a single event with tickets and using a third-party post duplication plugin to duplicate and modify that event for each subsequent day

I’d be glad to answer any other questions you might have about these plugins or how they might work for your intended setup. Please don’t hesitate to follow up if there’s anything else that I can do to assist. Cheers, and thanks again!

    Hi there,

Thanks so much for reaching out–we’re thrilled to hear that you’re enjoying working with The Events Calendar on your site! 🙂 It sounds like your needs would best be met by adding Event Tickets Plus to your existing setup. With Event Tickets Plus and an e-commerce platform of your choice (such as WooCommerce), you can create free or paid tickets for your events, process payments, manage orders and attendees, and even generate coupons to provide discounted or free tickets to your users (which may be useful for your VIPs). You can read more about Event Tickets Plus at the product page linked above, and I’d be glad to answer any specific questions you might have that aren’t answered there!

I hope that helps to get you started! Thanks again, and please don’t hesitate to follow up if there’s anything else that we can do for you!

    Hi Bruno,

Thanks for reaching out! I’m afraid that the Week View included with Events Calendar PRO is limited to displaying a single week at a time only. You can see a live demo of this view in action on our WP Shindig demo site:

    http://wpshindig.com/events/week/

If you’re interested in extending the functionality of this view, you may wish to check out our Themer’s Guide for more info on customizing our plugin templates–that said, it’s worth noting that a customization of this type is likely to be fairly extensive, and we aren’t able to support these types of modifications here in our support forums.

I hope that helps! Thanks again, and let us know if you should have any other questions! 🙂

    Hi Tim,

Thanks so much for your interest in our plugins! While we’re not able to test every third-party theme for full compatibility with The Events Calendar suite, we’ve developed our products with WordPress best practices in mind, and you should find that our plugins work well with most themes developed to similar standards. You can read more about third-party compatibility with our plugins on our Knowledgebase here:

    https://theeventscalendar.com/knowledgebase/third-party-compatibility-events-calendar-plugins/

If you’re unsure of whether a particular theme or plugin will work with your setup, my advice would be to try it and see! We offer a full 30-day refund policy on all of our premium products, so you’ll have plenty of time to set up our plugins and test them thoroughly–should you find that they’re not a great fit for your project, we’ll be happy to refund your entire purchase price.

I hope that helps! Thanks again for reaching out, and let us know if you should have any other questions or concerns! 🙂

    Hi there,

Thanks so much for your interest in Community Events! I’d be more than glad to see if I can answer these questions for you! 🙂

It sounds like Community Events (and/or a combination of our plugins) should meet most of your listed needs right out of the box, including the following:

    • Ability for anyone to enter an event on the calendar (acceptance of events will be moderated) – Community Events
    • Ability to handle/accept non-typical format events (e.g., webinars, multi-week events, etc.) – Community Events with Events Calendar PRO for recurring event support
    • A fixed Banner that will appear on the calendar page (or perhaps on each event page). This banner would have links and we could change banner as desired. You can customize the default display of your calendar as needed to add banners, links, or any other content you’d like. Our Themer’s Guide provides more information on how to modify our templates in this way!

For the following features, I’ve provided a bit more information on how to achieve each one:

    • Provide a non-branded or co branded link that any group can put on their website (e.g., the page will not be the ”SCH events calendar”). By default, there is just one main calendar page, which will display with a default title based on your site’s template. However, you can use the [tribe_events] shortcode included with Events Calendar PRO to create additional pages with unique branding and place calendars on each of these. You can read more about this shortcode on our Knowledgebase here: https://theeventscalendar.com/knowledgebase/embedding-calendar-views-tribe_events-shortcode/
    • Ability to highlight some groups in colors (e.g., SCH and TriCSA). This feature is not built in to our plugins, though it can be added with the third-party The Events Calendar Category Colors plugin. https://theeventscalendar.com/knowledgebase/the-events-calendar-category-colors/
    • Ability to brand to local site. E.g., if Monroe Township links to the page, calendar could have Monroe Township name/picture on top of page. This could be achieved by using the [tribe_events] shortcode mentioned above and creating separate pages for each group that needs their own calendar.
    • Ability to highlight a group. E.g., if Monroe Township links to the page, Monroe Township can have Monroe Township’s events highlighted. When using the [tribe_events] shortcode, you can specify one or more categories or tags to only show events from those categories or tags on the calendar. This could be used to create calendar pages for specific groups and have those calendars only show events from those groups.

I hope that helps to get you started here! Thanks again, and let us know if you should have any other questions!

    Hi Richard,

Thanks for providing some extra clarification here–and so sorry for the misunderstanding! It looks like the Smart Coupons extension for WooCommerce would likely be the best and easiest way to automatically generate coupons when a specific product is purchased. You can learn more about this extension on its product page here:

I hope that helps! Thanks again, and let me know if you should have any other questions!

    Hi Maria,

Thanks for reaching out, and I’m so sorry for the trouble here! On reviewing the license keys on your account with us, it appears that your license key ending in 1853 was purchased on July 11, 2016 and expired on the same date last month. If you’d like to renew this license key, you can do so right from your TheEventsCalendar.com account. This Knowledgebase article provides some more information on our renewal process–feel free to give it a look over, and let us know if you should have any questions that aren’t answered there! 🙂

If you have recently renewed this key and aren’t seeing this renewal reflected on your account, we’d be glad to investigate further. Please email us with a copy of your license key and the order number for your renewal purchase, and we’ll follow up as soon as possible! (When viewing the contact page linked below, please select the option “Help accessing my account” from the drop-down menu to display the full email form.)

    Hi Ellen,

Thanks so much for your interest in Events Calendar PRO! Happy to answer these questions for you! 🙂

    1. While we don’t offer any built-in tools to facilitate event duplication in this manner, most third-party post duplicator plugins that support custom post types should work just fine for duplicating events. Post Duplicator is just one such example; you can find many others from a quick search in the WordPress.org plugin directory!
    2. Great question! If you need to change the details for a single event in a recurring series without changing the rest of the series, we’ve provided tools to allow you to break off one or a group of events from a recurring series. You can learn more about how to do this on our Knowledgebase here: https://theeventscalendar.com/knowledgebase/pro-recurring-events/#breaking-off-events

I hope that helps! Thanks again, and please don’t hesitate to follow up if you should have any other questions!

    Hi Mark,

Thanks for taking the time to reach out! At the moment, we’re not aware of any bugs matching your description with either the free version of The Events Calendar or Events Calendar PRO. It sounds like your issue may be caused by other factors–we’d love to assist with some troubleshooting over in our support forums to see if we can get that problem resolved for you. Would you mind taking a moment to submit a new post with the details of your problem to the support forum for The Events Calendar? If you can, please take the time to confirm in your post that you’ve run through our conflict testing steps prior to contacting us–this will save us a step and help us to get your issue resolved that much quicker! 🙂

Thanks again, and we’ll see you in the forums!

    Hi Dorian,

Thanks so much for your interest in our plugins! It sounds like you’re going to want a handful of different individual plugins to achieve all of your goals here. Here are my suggestions:

Since both Events Calendar PRO and Event Aggregator are included as part of the Importer Bundle, you might also consider picking up this bundle, as you suggested, and adding on Community Events as a separate standalone plugin. This would also allow you to obtain Filter Bar at a considerable cost savings, which may be a useful add-on for your site visitors! 🙂

I hope that helps to get you started! Please don’t hesitate to let me know if you should have any other questions. Cheers, and happy shopping!
