Guest2 questions here:
1. If I have FB events synced to my google calendar, can I just import from the google Calendar?
2. With that, will the FB event details be visible? For events pulled from FB:
1. Will links publish to the original FB event?
2. Will images publish?
3. Possible to NOT have image publish? Finally,
Any way to Push calendar events? Or is it only via import? Thanks!

MemberHi Ivan,
Thanks for reaching out–happy to try and answer these questions for you! đ
If I have FB events synced to my google calendar, can I just import from the google Calendar? With that, will the FB event details be visible?
Certainly! It’s worth double-checking your events that are synced to Google, though, just to ensure that the fields have populated correctly. If the import to Google Calendar has retained all of the original data from Facebook, that data will be carried over by Event Aggregator. EA won’t be able to tell the difference between a synced/imported event and one that was originally created on Google Calendar, however, so any data that isn’t present in the imported event won’t be brought over from Facebook.
Will links publish to the original FB event?
Events imported from Facebook will have the original event linked from the Website field in the event details box. Event descriptions that include URLs will also have them automatically converted into clickable links.
Will images publish?
Yes–if a Facebook event has an image associated with it, that image will be imported as a featured image for the event.
Possible to NOT have image publish?
You can always have Facebook events imported as drafts and remove images before publishing them to your site! Syncing your Facebook events to Google Calendar in the manner described above will also prevent featured images from being imported, since Google Calendar/iCal does not support the “featured image” field at this time.
I hope that helps! Thanks again, and let me know if you should have any other questions!

GuestHi Caroline,
Many thanks for the detailed response. Two more quick follow ups please.
1. Facebook events are synced to my Google Calendar as a secondary calendar (âOther Calendarsâ as google puts it). Just want to confirm that this will still work, that it doesnât need to be integrated into my primary google calendar. Yes?
2. Can the plugin be styled anyway I want? Or am I limited in any way? (I would be using a front end developer to style itâŚif that was allowed).
Thanks again!

MemberHi Ivan,
Of course; glad to help! đ
- As long as you’re able to grab a public URL for the imported calendar of your Facebook events, any Google Calendar, primary or secondary, should work just fine with Event Aggregator! You can learn more about the requirements from importing from Google Calendar on our Knowledgebase here:Â https://theeventscalendar.com/knowledgebase/import-from-feed-or-url/
- Absolutely! In addition to some basic plugin settings and a variety of options in the WordPress Customizer, you can customize our plugins even further by delving into CSS changes or even full-scale template modifications! Our Themer’s Guide has all the info you or your developer should need to get started with this task! https://theeventscalendar.com/knowledgebase/themers-guide/
Thanks again, and please don’t hesitate to follow up if you should have any other questions or concerns!

GuestWait, sorry, big question:
Does The Events Calendar sync with Google Calendar? I assumed it did, but now I think I’m wrong.
With that, does the aggregator sync with google calendar? I don’t want to import, I’m wondering if it can sync, live data.
Please let me know.

MemberHi Ivan,
Thanks for following up! I’m afraid that none of our plugins support two-way syncing with Google Calendar at this time. If this functionality is essential to your intended setup, it may be worth considering other options for this particular project. đ
I’m so sorry to be the bearer of bad news here. We do appreciate your consideration and thank you for paying us a visit! Should your project needs take you elsewhere, we hope that we might have the opportunity to work with you on another very soon. Until then, please don’t hesitate to let us know if you should have any other questions!
