September 26, 2018 at 5:39 am in reply to: Is it possible to use shortcode to embed "create new event" on a page #1630944
Jennifer
KeymasterHi Karen,
There is unfortunately not a shortcode to embed this form on another page, but I would recommend adjusting the “Default stylesheet used for events templates” and “Events template” settings under Events > Settings > Display. These affect how much events pages inherit their styling from the theme. If you still would like to make some tweaks to the page after making those adjustments, you may need to add some CSS to get the styling 100% integrated. We are limited in the amount of support that we can provide for customizations, but if you get stuck or have any questions with the CSS, please let me know – I’ll be happy to point you in the right direction!
September 26, 2018 at 5:30 am in reply to: Translated Recurring Events are not being generated whenusing the Once #1630930Jennifer
KeymasterHello,
There is a separate known issue from the “Once” recurrences not being saved where the initial occurrence is created twice – the issue with saving is the one that Victor was referring to in his message. Sorry for the confusion there! The issue with the duplicate being created currently looks like it will be included in the next release, although I cannot make any guarantees. As soon as this happens, we’ll post another update here.
I’m sorry for the further inconvenience here! We are working hard to get this issue resolved as quickly as possible.

KeymasterHi Ken,
I’m glad you found a better solution! If you run into any other issues, please don’t hesitate to reach out.
Jennifer
KeymasterHi Scott,
Unless you have marked events as “Private”, users will see all events on the calendar whether or not they are logged in. Besides the output from the shortcode you mentioned, logged in users will see the option to view their tickets from a single event page (see screenshot) – you can read more about how this works here – but otherwise, the calendar and events will look the same for logged in/not logged users.
We do offer full refunds within 30 days of purchase, so if you’d like to take Event Tickets Plus for a test run, feel free to do so! Please let me know if you have any additional questions.
Thanks,
Jennifer

KeymasterHello,
Thanks for reaching out! You do not need an Adaptive Payments account if you aren’t planning to use split payments 🙂
Are you running into any issues getting set up with Community Tickets or are users running into any issues getting paid for their ticket sales?
Jennifer
KeymasterHi James,
I’m sorry that you’re running into this issue with recurring events – there was a known issue where “Once” rules were not being saved, which was addressed in the latest release. Can you first make sure that you’re running the current versions of both The Events Calendar (4.6.23) and Events Calendar Pro (4.4.32)? Make sure to clear out any caching that you might be doing on your site or via a plugin after updating; you’ll also want to temporarily disable the “Enable the Month View Cache” setting under Events > Settings > Display, if you currently have that enabled.
If that doesn’t get things working again, can you please share your full system info with me, along with a screenshot of the settings that you have for this recurring event (with all recurrence rules expanded) so that I can test it out on my end?
Thanks,
Jennifer

KeymasterHello,
Thanks for reaching out!
To get the plain URL without any markup, try using this instead:
$field = get_post_meta( $event_id, '_ecp_custom_1' );-You may need to change the 1 in “_ecp_custom_1” to the correct ID for your field, which you can grab by viewing the source on the Additional Fields tab of the settings (see “name” in this screenshot) or by looking through all of the post meta:
$field = get_post_meta( $event_id ); var_dump( $field );We are limited in the amount of support that we can provide for customizations, but if you get stuck or have any questions, please let me know – I’ll be happy to try to point you in the right direction!

September 20, 2018 at 6:01 pm in reply to: Maps view doesn't work on main page without coordinates, does on single view #1626947Jennifer
KeymasterHello,
I’m sorry that you’re running into this issue with the map, but I’ll be happy to help you out!
As a first step, can you try running through the instructions here to make sure that you have configured and saved your Google Maps API key correctly?
Next, can you also try upgrading to the current version of WordPress (4.9.8)?
If you’re still seeing the same thing after running through those steps, can you then try switching back to the default environment, clearing out your browser cache any caching that you might be doing on your site, and see if you’re still seeing the same thing?
Please let me know what you find!
Jennifer
KeymasterHi Mark,
Thanks for reaching out! I’m sorry that you’re running into these issues with GigPress and The Events Calendar…I ran some tests in my local environment, but I was not seeing these same issues. There might be something else on your site that is conflicting with one or both of these plugins – you can check for this by running through the steps outlined here.
We are not able to provide technical support here in our Pre-Sales forum, but if you need further help troubleshooting this, please let us know over in our GigPress support forum on wordpress.org.
If you are interested in using GigPress in conjunction with one of our premium plugins like Events Calendar Pro or Event Tickets Plus, we do offer full refunds within 30 days of purchase, so if you’d like to take any of them for a test run, feel free to do so! Please let me know if you have any additional questions.
Thanks,
Jennifer

KeymasterHi Dan,
Thanks for giving that a try! Let me know what happens.

KeymasterHi Betsi,
Thanks for trying again! Unfortunately we’re still not seeing it – can you email us directly at support @ theeventscalendar.com with the info you included in the form? We’ll help you get this taken care of from there!
I’m sorry for the delay here, and thank you for your patience!
Jennifer
KeymasterHi Adam,
I’m glad to hear you got this figured out! Please let me know if you run into any other issues.

KeymasterHi Masen,
Our extensions do have the potential to get added to core eventually, but this one has not yet gone through that process – you can see the default views here on our demo site. I took another look at your events page, and the images there appear to be coming from somewhere else (besides the default plugin functionality and the extension) –
If you look at HTML from the extension, you’ll see that the images are added inside a link in a “tribe-events-event-image” div – see screenshot.
They’re not showing up the same way on your site – see screenshot.
Can you verify that you don’t have any customizations running (you can check for this in your functions.php file and also by looking in your theme folder for a “tribe-events” folder, which could indicate a template override. After you switch to a default theme and disable all other plugins, did you clear out any caching that you might have (browser cache, server cache, and any caching done by plugins) and ensure that the “Enable The Month View Cache” setting under Events > Settings > Display is disabled?
Jennifer
KeymasterHi Ron,
Everything still looks good for this to be included in the next release (although I can’t make any guarantees here). I still don’t have an exact date that I can give you, but it will likely be sometime over the next couple weeks. There won’t be a beta release for this issue, but we will let you know as soon as this release goes out!

KeymasterHello,
Unfortunately I don’t have an update yet – please note that our free extensions (this feature is coming from the Month View Thumbnails extension) are not supported in the same way that our premium plugins are. We do our best to keep them up-to-date and providing value to our users, but the turnaround time for fixes is not always as fast as for our other plugins.
I’m sorry that I don’t have a better answer for you at the moment, but I’ll let you know as soon as this is released!
