    Just installed this for the first time and created two events. I was experiencing the “off of coast of Africa” issue when viewing /events (main view) with “Map” as the default view. I think it’s important to note that the map when viewing individual events is spot-on.

    As a test, I changed one venue to use the coordinates and it was correctly placed on the map. It’s redundant, but I’ll say again – this event displayed fine on the map when viewing the individual event page *before* adding the coordinates.

    I am also experiencing the issue with multiple instances of the Google JS being added, but only on the individual events pages. I have searched my codebase for “maps.googleapis.com” and all there are 5 instances, all within the /wp-content/plugins/the-events-calendar/ and /wp-content/plugins/events-calendar-pro directories.

    I’ll also note that the error with including the Google Maps JS API version multiple times continues to occur after disabling all plugins except for the two The Event Calendar and on the 2017 theme

    Hello,

    I’m sorry that you’re running into this issue with the map, but I’ll be happy to help you out!

    As a first step, can you try running through the instructions here to make sure that you have configured and saved your Google Maps API key correctly?

    Next, can you also try upgrading to the current version of WordPress (4.9.8)?

    If you’re still seeing the same thing after running through those steps, can you then try switching back to the default environment, clearing out your browser cache any caching that you might be doing on your site, and see if you’re still seeing the same thing?
