    Hello,

If you create a new event through the user interface (under Events > Add New), is everything showing up correctly?

Since the location is not showing up, it sounds like there might be something else going on besides just a timezone issue.

Do you have a staging environment set up? If not, the free Duplicator plugin can help you get one together.

In your staging environment, please disable everything except The Events Calendar and Events Calendar Pro and enable the Twentyseventeen theme. You’ll also want to make sure you are using the current versions (WordPress 4.9.7, TEC 4.6.20.1, and Pro 4.4.29.2) Make sure to have WP_DEBUG enabled and try running the import again. If you were running into these same issues when creating an event through the interface on your live site, please try again here. Can you also send me a screenshot of the settings on the back end for an event where these issues are occurring along with a link to that same event on the front end? If you have been replying via email, please note that attachments will not come through – you will need to login and upload the screenshots directly to the thread.

If you see any errors when importing or on your single event page (on the front end or event edit screen), please copy/paste them here.

    Thanks,

    Jennifer

    Hi Peter,

With Event Tickets Plus, you can choose to require users to login to purchase tickets. Users will then be able to login, go to the event they purchased tickets for, and change the info they entered for the custom fields.

For your second workflow (customers buying tickets with no date), one thing you might look at doing is using a third-party extension such as Smart Coupons from WooCommerce. Event Tickets Plus allows you to integrate with WooCommerce to sell tickets, in which case tickets are essentially WooCommerce simple products. So, WooCommerce coupons can be applied to tickets.

You mentioned that your seminars are recurring…I do want to point out that if you are planning to use Event Tickets Plus with Events Calendar Pro’s recurring events feature, unfortunately recurring tickets are not currently supported. You can add tickets to the recurring series as a whole, but individual tickets will not be generated for each recurrence in the series. Support for this type of functionality is something that we are planning to add in the future, but I don’t have an ETA that I can give you on that yet.

If you have any other questions, please let me know!

    Thanks,

    Jennifer

    Hi Gregor,

Just to clarify what you are looking for here, it sounds like you want to switch the language for events when a user changes the site to a different language on the front end, is that correct? Or are you trying to display different events based on the language that the user selects (and are they doing this in Filter Bar or by some other means)?

If you’ve added a button or a language list to your calendar, you’ll need to trigger the function/method to change the language and not simply refresh the page; you might  a look at  tribe_events_calendar_ajax_post() function in the-events-calendar/src/resources/js/tribe-events-ajax-calendar.js That function covers some actions that might be helpful.

If I’ve misunderstood what you’re looking for, please let me know!

    Thanks,

    Jennifer

    Thanks for sending that over!

We did just put out a maintenance release, so I would first recommend updating to the current versions:

    The Events Calendar 4.6.20.1

    Events Calendar Pro 4.4.29.1

    WordPress 4.9.7

Can you tell me what is happening when you try to import events from Eventbrite? Are you seeing any messages? If so, can you please copy/paste them here or send a screenshot?

    Hi Don,

We actually just put out a maintenance release that should have resolved this issue. Can you please update to the following versions:

    The Events Calendar 4.6.20.1

    Events Calendar Pro 4.4.29.1

    WordPress 4.9.7

Make sure to disable the “enable month view cache” option under Events > Settings > Display and clear out your cache within W3 Total Cache after updating. Let me know if this fixes the issue!

    Thanks,

    Jennifer

    Hi Lucy,

The code snippet and extension were only meant to provide example code that you can use as a starting point for modifying the map view.

I definitely understand how this might seem like a simple change, but since the map view is built to automatically adjust the zoom based on the locations of the upcoming events displayed in that view, this would require a code customization to change. For the single event views, there is only one venue, so that is why you are able to specify a zoom level in the settings. Having this same option for the main events view could lead to upcoming events being excluded if they are outside of the view with that zoom level. However, if this is a feature you would like to see added in the future, we’d love it if you could post the idea in our Feature Ideas Forum! We use this to gauge user interest in new features and help plan future development.

While we would love to help out more with customizations in the forums, unfortunately we do not have the resources to be able to include custom code as part of our premium support policy, as we need to ensure that we are addressing bug reports, troubleshooting requests, etc. in a timely fashion. For future reference, please note that we typically do not have support available during the weekends, so it might take an extra day or two for a response if you post on Fridays or over the weekend. 🙂

So with all of that said, if you’d prefer not to tackle this customization on your own, we may be able to assist you further. We do need to prioritize support requests from other customers at this time but I’ll certainly flag this with the team and – although we can’t make any promises – if we have time and space to come back and help, we’ll be happy to do so.  Please let us know if you’d like to go this route so that you can be added to this queue.

If you urgently need help with this, however, you may instead wish to consider working with a suitably skilled developer or designer who can offer the additional level of support you require.

Thanks for clarifying that! It does seem strange that the widget by itself would make such a drastic difference in the load time. Please let me know what you find with Query Monitor, and I’ll be happy to see if we can make any recommendations!

    Hi Nancy,

Pro does come with photo view, and you can really use the shortcodes wherever you would like! For full calendar views (which is what is rendered with the tribe_events shortcode), there can only be one per page. So you would not be able to add a shortcode on another event view or have two different tribe_events shortcodes on the same page. Otherwise, you should be able to add it anywhere else on your site that will accept shortcodes.

Let me know if you have any other questions!

One other thing: if you’re doing any caching on your site (such as via a plugin or on your server), you’ll want to make sure you’ve cleared that out as well.

    Hi Shauna,

I took another look at the page, and I am no longer seeing that error (so good news there!). Can you try switching to the default template temporarily to see if the map is working there? If so, this could be caused by the way that your custom template is set up. We are limited in the amount of support that we can provide for customizations, but if you can send me the full template via a gist, I’ll be happy to take a look and see what I can recommend!

    Thanks,

    Hi Susan,

I’m sorry that you’re running into this issue with the timezone, but I’ll be happy to help you out.

Can you try switching your timezone setting (on your site, under Settings > General > Timezone) to the location timezone instead of using the UTC offset? This can sometimes cause issues with imports (you can read more about how this works here).

Please let me know if this works! If not, can you please share your full system info with me?

You’ll also want to clear out any caching that you might be doing on your site after making the change.
