KeymasterThanks for sending that info! At this point, I would recommend deleting the series and recreating it – if you have a testing site, it would be best to do this there first. You can make a copy of your live site with the free Duplicator plugin if you don’t have a staging site set up already.
It is also possible that the current versions of our plugins are conflicting with something else on your site. You can test for this by running through the steps outlined here or by using a plugin like Health Check. It is also best to do this testing in your staging site. Whenever troubleshooting, it’s best to enable WP_DEBUG and WP_DEBUG_LOG (which will create a file on your server at /wp-content/debug.log if there are any WP_DEBUG messages) and share any debug messages you see while trying to replicate this issue and doing other things on your site relevant to this ticket (such as visiting your site’s home page, events page, single-event pages, and anything else you can think to do).
Please let me know what you find!
Thanks,
Jennifer

KeymasterHello,
Can you check what you have set under Events > Settings > Imports > Global Import Settings > Import Limit Type? If the events that aren’t being imported are outside of the limits set here, then you should be able to change the limits and get the rest of those events imported.
Let me know if this works!

KeymasterHi Steven,
That message is being displayed because the fields are required, but since no tickets have been selected, they aren’t showing up. I can see how this could be confusing if a user leaves the quantity fields set to 0, as increasing the quantity is what gets the fields to display.
Regarding our forums, we have a separate forum for each of our products to help keep things organized and to help users find answers faster when coming to the Help Desk for guidance on a particular plugin. Our support forums do require that you have an active license, but if you do not have one, then you can still post in our community forum on wordpress.org, which we review weekly to check for bug reports. For more in-depth support, a license is required.
However, I’m glad that you were able to find a platform that works for your project! We always appreciate feedback and feature requests and do our best to provide some type of solution, whether that is adding the feature to core, creating free extensions, or in some cases providing snippets as you found in the thread you linked to.
If there is anything else that we can help you with in the future, please don’t hesitate to reach out!

KeymasterThanks for sending that info!
First, it looks like you’re running an older version of The Events Calendar and Events Calendar Pro. Can you try updating to the current versions (4.6.20.1 and 4.4.29.2 respectively) and see if that gets things working?
If you don’t see a prompt to update in the Plugins section of your Dashboard, you can do so manually by following these instructions.
Thanks,

July 18, 2018 at 10:52 pm in reply to: Issues with 8/9 update. Not resolved with additional updates #1578760Jennifer
KeymasterHi Marilyn,
If switching the stylesheets didn’t get things looking the way that you would like, then there are a few more settings under Appearance > Customize > The Events Calendar. If you aren’t able to get things looking the way you need with those options, then you will need to add some CSS.
We are limited in the amount of support that we can provide for customizations, but if you get stuck or have any questions, please let me know – I’ll be happy to try to point you in the right direction!
Thanks,
Jennifer

July 18, 2018 at 10:46 pm in reply to: Ticket form not displaying when tickets are sold out #1578749Jennifer
KeymasterHi Heather,
Thanks for sending that screenshot. I created a test event on my local site with the same settings that you are using here, and this time I was not seeing the sold out message or the ticket form. I am logging this for our developers to take a look at, and as soon as we have an update, we’ll let you know here.
I apologize for the inconvenience that this is causing, and thank you for your patience as we work on getting this resolved! Please let me know if you have any questions in the meantime.
Thanks,
Jennifer
July 18, 2018 at 10:37 pm in reply to: Tribe Events Page title is now above the s search bar #1578720Jennifer
KeymasterHi Nancy,
I meant to include a link to our themer’s guide in my initial reply – sorry about that! Basically, you’ll want to first create a tribe-events folder in your child theme (you are correct that changes made directly in the theme files will be erased each time you update the plugin). Then, you can copy the code from the plugin file and paste it into a new file of the same name in your new tribe-events folder. Then, you’ll just need to switch the order of those two lines I mentioned previously.
For CSS, it is best to add this to the style.css file of your child theme so that it doesn’t get overwritten when you update.
Please let me know if you have any other questions!
Thanks,
Jennifer

KeymasterThanks for clarifying that…I think the issues are arising from adding tickets (WooCommerce products) to other WooCommerce products. The ability to add tickets to products was removed early on because it was causing issues for several users, and since this is a customization (the plugin does not work this way by default), we are limited in the amount of support that we can provide for it.
If you need to link tickets to other products, then I would recommend taking a look at some of these Woo extensions.
However, I will check with the team on this in the meantime to see if there is anything that we can recommend regarding the memory error.

KeymasterNo problem, I just processed the refund for you. I’m sorry that this didn’t work the way that you needed, but if there is anything else that we can help you with in the future, please don’t hesitate you reach out!

KeymasterHi Adam,
You are correct that you can require users to login both to submit events and to purchase tickets.
To allow users to sell tickets on your site from the front end, you need Event Tickets, Event Tickets Plus, and Community Tickets (which requires Community Events). I know these plugin dependencies can get a bit confusing, so to put it simply, Event Tickets Plus builds on Event Tickets, and Community Tickets builds on (or essentially integrates) both Community Events (which handles the front end user submissions) and Event Tickets Plus. (Hopefully that didn’t make things more confusing!)
To get a closer look at how things work, I would recommend taking a look at some of these articles:
Event Tickets/Event Tickets Plus
New User Primer: Event Tickets and Event Tickets Plus
Settings Overview: Event Tickets and Event Tickets Plus
Managing Your Orders and Attendees
Community Events/Community Tickets
New User Primer: Community Events
Settings Overview: Community Events
Managing Community Events Submissions
New User Primer: Community Tickets
Community Tickets: Tracking Sales and Getting Paid
Don’t worry – no need to read these word-for-word! But, if you scroll through them, you can see some screenshots of the front and back ends and some highlights of the features that are available just by reading the section headings 🙂
Let me know if you have any other questions!
Thanks,
Jennifer

KeymasterAwesome, I’m glad to hear everything is working now! If you do run into any more issues, please let us know!

KeymasterHi Al,
I’m sorry that you’re running into this issue, but I’ll be happy to help you out.
When you say that you tried to delete the event, did you try changing the rules or deleting the entire series? I would recommend going into your original event and deleting the “daily” recurrence rule by clicking the trash can icon on the rule (see screenshot) – this should delete all instances of the event that no longer match the existing recurrence rules.
There is not a way to set a default recurrence rule, but you might be able to get this set up with a code customization – our themer’s guide is the place to start if you’d like to give this a shot!
Thanks,
Jennifer

KeymasterHi Lauren,
Thanks for reaching out!
If you want to create the shortcode yourself, then I would recommend starting with this guide. You can find the template for the My Events page under wp-content/plugins/the-events-calendar-community-events/src/views/community/events-list.php.
We are limited in the amount of support that we can provide for customizations,<span class=”Apple-converted-space”> but I hope this helps get you started! Please let me know if you have any other questions.</span>
Thanks,

KeymasterHello,
I’m sorry that you are running into this issue! We are aware of it and are working on getting it resolved.
Filter Bar does add the ability to filter by category on your main events page, but this will not affect the shortcode or resolve this issue unfortunately.
I’ve linked this thread to our internal ticket, so as soon as we have an update, we’ll let you know here. I apologize for the inconvenience that this is causing, and thank you for your patience as we work on getting this resolved! Please let me know if you have any questions in the meantime.
Thanks,
Jennifer
