    Hi there

I am evaluating your events calendar and ticket applications on our staging site https://staging.xello.com.au/events/

I have a few queries before we decide if we need to by the pro version of your software. I also found a bug which I would like to address before we purchase your software.

    1) On the event details, by default the general site widgets are displayed. Is there any way to exclude these from the event details? Is this option in the paid version?

    2) Booking a ticket, we plan to only hold one type of ticket. Is there any way to set the default order to one?

    3) Error when no ticket value selected. I found it confusing that when I didn’t choose a value for the tickets and left it at zero. Your warning text asked me to fill out my info, but there was no way to fill out my info since I haven’t entered an amount of tickets to purchase. I suggest that you fix this issue.

    4) “Events from” on events homepage. This box is on the upper right hand side of the events summary page. Is there any way to hide this box from your options? When the search box is hidden, this makes no sense to the user.

    Kind regards
    Steven

    Hi Steven,

Thanks for checking out our plugins!

The events pages (including the single events pages) use either an events page template or your site’s default page template. You can read more about this here, but you can switch to the default events template under Events > Settings > Display, which should get rid of that sidebar – however, this will depend on your theme.

You can create as many ticket types on an event as you would like. Are you wanting to limit the tickets to one per order? If so, then you can do this via a PHP/Javascript customization or by checking “Sold individually” within the WooCommerce settings for the ticket (see screenshot).

The “Please fill in the RSVP confirmation name and email fields.” message appears when a user clicks the “Confirm RSVP” button without having filled in the required fields, which appear when the ticket quantity is increased. If these fields do not appear when the quantity is increased, then there may be a theme/plugin conflict at play. You can check for this by running through the steps outlined here.

Regarding hiding the “Events from” box, you can read more about customizing that bar here. We are not able to provide technical support here in the Pre-Sales forum, but if you do decide to go ahead with Event Tickets Plus, you will have access to premium support where we can provide more in-depth help (please note that customizations are outside the scope of support that we are able to provide).

We do offer full refunds within 30 days of purchase, so if you’d like to take Event Tickets Plus for a test run, feel free to do so! Please let me know if you have any additional questions.

    Thanks,

    Jennifer

    Thanks for your answers,

My apologies, I did not explain myself clearly so you incorrectly answered one of my queries. “The “Please fill in the RSVP confirmation name and email fields.” message appears when a user clicks the “Confirm RSVP” button without having filled in the required fields, which appear when the ticket quantity is increased. If these fields do not appear when the quantity is increased, then there may be a theme/plugin conflict at play. You can check for this by running through the steps outlined here.”

If the user has clicks “confirm RSVP” but they have not entered an amount of tickets, they receive this warning.
Is there any way to insert a default number of 1 so this error does not happen? example https://imgur.com/AGBmDA3

    Hi Steven,

Thanks for clarifying. You can set a default by doing a PHP/Javascript customization. We are not able to provide any technical support here in the Pre-Sales forum (and are limited in the amount of support that we can provide for customizations in our premium support forums), but if you take a look through our Event Tickets Plus forum, you will likely be able to find a snippet that you can use as a starting point.

Please let me know if you have any other questions!

Thanks … I found someone else with the same issue where they wanted the default value to be 1, but you’re asking for it to be a feature request so the default value can be set to 1. https://theeventscalendar.com/support/forums/topic/can-we-please-have-an-option-to-set-an-events-default-ticket-amount-to-1/

There was no explanation for the error text in your comment.

Why do you require so many forums for different products? Its all the same product IMO.

It’s so obvious this should be a feature and a fix for the error text. Your forum only allows me to login and it wont allow me to create an account so I can comment on his post. I have decided not to purchase your software because you can’t even get the forum right.

I have found another platform who offers this one their paid version.

    Listen to your customers.

    Hi Steven,

That message is being displayed because the fields are required, but since no tickets have been selected, they aren’t showing up. I can see how this could be confusing if a user leaves the quantity fields set to 0, as increasing the quantity is what gets the fields to display.

Regarding our forums, we have a separate forum for each of our products to help keep things organized and to help users find answers faster when coming to the Help Desk for guidance on a particular plugin. Our support forums do require that you have an active license, but if you do not have one, then you can still post in our community forum on wordpress.org, which we review weekly to check for bug reports. For more in-depth support, a license is required.

However, I’m glad that you were able to find a platform that works for your project! We always appreciate feedback and feature requests and do our best to provide some type of solution, whether that is adding the feature to core, creating free extensions, or in some cases providing snippets as you found in the thread you linked to.

If there is anything else that we can help you with in the future, please don’t hesitate to reach out!

Hey there! This thread has been pretty quiet for the last three weeks, so we’re going to go ahead and close it to avoid confusion with other topics. If you’re still looking for help with this, please do open a new thread, reference this one and we’d be more than happy to continue the conversation over there.

    Thanks so much!
