ParticipantI’ve had a number of issues since updating earlier in the week. The two subsequent updates did not resolve my issues. I have version Version 4.4.26 installed on a staging area and that version was stable/ without issues for me so I can send you links of what is correct and what the update did. Please let me know if you need more info.
1– Title missing on month view. I see this has been reported and you are working on it. Mine does not reappear when refreshed.
THIS IS CORRECT: http://pennfield.staging.wpengine.com/athletics-calendar/
THIS IS NOT, AFTER UPDATE: https://www.pennfield.org/athletics-calendar/2– Also the info is missing on that Athletics calendar as you move to September you see all calendars, not just September events.
THIS IS CORRECT (ATHLETICS EVENTS ONLY): http://pennfield.staging.wpengine.com/events/2018-09/?tribe_events_cat=athletics&tribe-bar-date=2018-09
THIS IS NOT, AFTER UPDATE: (SHOWS ALL EVENTS AND IS SUPPOSED TO BE ATHLETICS ONLY)
https://www.pennfield.org/events/2018-09/?tribe-bar-date=2018-093– Formatting changed on hover.
The links above show you what the hover did before and after update.I also had a problem with events being imported from google calendar creating duplicate events and repeating multiple times. There were only a few so I manually deleted them. But I can’t worry about such things on every plugin update.
Please let me know when you think these issues will be resolved.
Thanks.

KeymasterHi Marilyn,
I’m sorry that you’re running into these issues in the current versions!
- This is a known issue with the tribe-events shortcode. I just checked on our internal ticket for this, and it looks like the fix should be released soon, although I don’t have an exact ETA.
- This is also a known issue, but unfortunately I don’t have a timeline I can give you yet as to when this issue will be resolved.
- <span style=”font-size: 0.875rem;”>Regarding the styling, can you try adjusting the </span><span style=”font-size: 0.875rem;”>”Default stylesheet used for events templates” and “Events template” </span>settings<span style=”font-size: 0.875rem;”> under Events > Settings > Display? These affect how much events pages inherit their styling from the theme.</span>
Thanks,
Jennifer

ParticipantHi Jennifer,
Regarding #3 I checked the stylesheets and both – the staging area with the previous version which looks fine and the live version which doesn’t have the styling – are set to Full Styles. I did try switching them and it didn’t help.

KeymasterHi Marilyn,
If switching the stylesheets didn’t get things looking the way that you would like, then there are a few more settings under Appearance > Customize > The Events Calendar. If you aren’t able to get things looking the way you need with those options, then you will need to add some CSS.
We are limited in the amount of support that we can provide for customizations, but if you get stuck or have any questions, please let me know – I’ll be happy to try to point you in the right direction!
Thanks,
Jennifer

ParticipantJennifer,
This is not a CSS issue and I’m not asking for styling help. I’m asking for help fixing something that the update broke. It was working properly and looking correct until I did the most recent update.
This is the hover on version Version 4.4.26
http://pennfield.staging.wpengine.com/events/2018-09/?tribe_events_cat=athletics&tribe-bar-date=2018-09This is the hover now
https://www.pennfield.org/events/2018-09/?tribe-bar-date=2018-09Why would the update have changed my styling?
July 19, 2018 at 10:48 pm #1579799Jennifer
KeymasterHi Marilyn,
I’m not seeing that any styling changes were made in the last update…I tested this out in my local environment, and the styles are the same for me in both…one thing I do want to note is that the styles for month view are part of The Events Calendar, so Pro shouldn’t affect those styles.
Did you possibly customize any CSS files that would have been overwritten when you updated the plugin? It’s also possible that some settings were changed in the Customizer or that a theme update including styling changes that also affected the calendar.
You mentioned that you tried switching the settings already…you may need to clear out any caching (in your browser and also on your server/caching plugin if you are doing this type of caching) to make sure that you are seeing all changes on the front end.

ParticipantIs there any update on #1 and #2 ?
1– Where did my titles go???! Title missing on month view. Mine does not reappear when refreshed.
THIS IS CORRECT: http://pennfield.staging.wpengine.com/athletics-calendar/
THIS IS NOT, AFTER UPDATE: https://www.pennfield.org/athletics-calendar/2– Also, our athletics calendar events (athletics category) will not display on the athletics calendar. I have 2 google calendars that are importing and going into 2 different categories — 1 athletics and 1 all school. Before the most recent updates — the athletics calendar had been displaying correctly on this page: https://www.pennfield.org/athletics-calendar/ using [tribe_events category=”athletics”]
but now I’m told “No matching events listed under Athletics.”There are events in the athletics category.
THIS IS CORRECT (ATHLETICS EVENTS ONLY): http://pennfield.staging.wpengine.com/events/2018-09/?tribe_events_cat=athletics&tribe-bar-date=2018-09
THIS IS NOT, AFTER UPDATE: (SHOWS ALL EVENTS AND IS SUPPOSED TO BE ATHLETICS ONLY)
https://www.pennfield.org/events/2018-09/?tribe-bar-date=2018-09Please let me know when these will be resolved. Thanks.

KeymasterHi Marilyn,
I don’t have an ETA on the first issue (titles) yet, although I do see it is under development. It looks like the fix for the second issue has been through development and will hopefully (although I cannot make any guarantees) be included in the next release.
I’m sorry that I can’t give you a more exact answer on timing, but this thread is linked to our internal tickets for these two issues. As soon as we have an update, we’ll let you know here. Thanks for your patience as we work on getting these resolved!

MemberHi marilyn!
Just wanted to share with you that a new release of our plugins is out, including a fix for this issue 🙂
Find out more about this release → https://theeventscalendar.com/release-event-tickets-4-8-event-tickets-plus-4-8/
We apologize for the delay and appreciate your patience while we worked on this.
As always, we suggest to setup a dev/staging site so you can make all plugin updates without disrupting the live site.
Please update the plugins and let us know if the fix works for your site.
Best,

KeymasterHey there! This thread has been pretty quiet for the last three weeks, so we’re going to go ahead and close it to avoid confusion with other topics. If you’re still looking for help with this, please do open a new thread, reference this one and we’d be more than happy to continue the conversation over there.
Thanks so much!
