KeymasterHi John,
I’m sorry that you’re running into this issue, but I’ll be happy to help you out.
First, I see that you’re running a version of WordPress that is quite a bit older – can you try updating to the current version (4.9.8) and see if that gets the email working? I would highly recommend making a full backup of your site and doing this update first in your testing environment, just to be on the safe side.
You’ll also want to check what you have selected for “When should attendee records be generated?” and “When should tickets be emailed to customers?” under Events > Settings > Tickets > WooCommerce Support. If the order is not reaching the status that you have set there, the email will not be sent until that happens. Are the attendee records being generated even though the email isn’t being sent?
If you haven’t done so already, you’ll also want to check your spam folder to make sure that the email didn’t end up there 🙂
Thanks,
Jennifer

KeymasterHi Thomas,
I’m sorry that you’re running into this issue, but I’ll be happy to help you out!
Can you please clarify what you mean by the Events Calendar Pro filters? Any screenshots or links (directly to the page where you’re using the filters) would be helpful as well.
If you haven’t done so already, you’ll also want to run through the steps outlined here to check for any conflicts that might be occurring between the current versions of our plugins and your theme/other plugins. This means dropping down to a completely default environment (all other plugins besides The Events Calendar and Events Calendar Pro disabled and the Twentyseventeen theme enabled) to see if this is still happening there. Please make sure to have WP_DEBUG enabled and copy/paste any errors that you see into your reply.
Thanks,
Jennifer

KeymasterCan you also delete any transients (this plugin can help) and try deleting and rescheduling your existing imports? It sounds like you’re not able to run any imports manually either, is that correct? Have you tried from another source (such as Eventbrite or Meetup)?

KeymasterHi Otto,
We do not currently have test accounts, but if you would like to test the plugins out in your local environment, you can purchase them with the ability to get a full refund within 30 days of purchase if they do not work the way that you need. If you run into issues, you can also reach out to us here for help.
The licenses are valid for one year, during which time you can update the plugin (or use the Event Aggregator service) and get support. Once the license expires, any plugins that you have purchased will not be affected, but you will no longer be able to update them, which will eventually lead to compatibility issues if you continue to update WordPress core and your theme and other plugins. Event Aggregator is a service, not an additional plugin, so once the license expires, you would need to renew it to continue importing.
The Event Aggregator license is $89/year.
Let me know if you have any more questions!
Thanks,
Jennifer

KeymasterAlbert,
I understand where you’re coming from here, but regarding refunded orders, the program is working as intended (you can read more about this here). Changing this would be a new feature. I cannot make any promises or give you any estimates as to if/when this will be added in the future, but I would still recommend posting this as a feature request, as we use this forum to help determine which features should be worked on next.
If there is anything else that you need help with, please open up a new thread (feel free to link back to this one), and we’ll be happy to help you out there.
Thanks,
Jennifer

KeymasterHi Sara,
Thanks for the update! I submitted a request to access the folder, as the link was requiring me to login. Could you approve that for me?
Thanks,

KeymasterHello,
This was not included in the last release, but there is a good chance that it will be included in the next one, although I can’t make any guarantees. We’ll let you know here as soon as this fix is released!

KeymasterHello,
I’m sorry for the confusion here – I hadn’t looked at the dates when I tested the import; I was thinking that the import was not loading up for you.
This is a good question. I checked with the team on this, and we do have a ticket open to investigate unexpected results being returned for location-based URLs like this. I’ve linked this thread to that ticket, so as soon as we have an update on this, we’ll let you know here.
In the meantime, you would need to import the events individually. Sorry for the bad news there!
Please let me know if you have any other questions.
Thanks,
Jennifer

KeymasterHi Nicolette,
So glad that worked for you! I agree, it is always great to learn new things…I still learn something new about WordPress and our plugins on a daily basis 🙂
You can find the Pro stylesheets at wp-content/plugins/events-calendar-pro/src/resources/css, but the best way to make CSS customizations is to put your CSS rules in the Additional CSS area under Appearance > Customize (if you have one) or in the style.css file of your child theme. This way they will be safe from plugin updates. You can also use a plugin like Simple Custom CSS to help you add in your CSS.
Let me know if there is anything else that I can help with!
Thanks,
Jennifer

KeymasterHi Laila,
Since the URLs are different, each one is counted as one install. There are some URLs that don’t count – you can read more about how this works here. If you recently changed the URL or migrated the site, that is likely the reason that you are seeing the message. If you want to use the key on ssbad.dk, then you will need to deregister blaakjaertesting.dk.linux16.curanetserver.dk by following the instructions here. This is not something that I am able to do from my end. However, once you deregister the key from blaakjaertesting.dk.linux16.curanetserver.dk, you should no longer see the message on ssbad.dk.
Can you give this a try and let me know if it works for you?
Thanks,
Jennifer

KeymasterThanks for sending all of that info! Nice job on the thorough testing…I tried using quotes in the title on my end and was able to recreate this…if I enter the quotes in the title using the keyboard, then the dropdown works correctly. If I enter the HTML characters in the title, then they appear as quotes on the front end, but the dropdown does not work. I think that this is something we could definitely improve on our end, so I logged this for our developers to take a look at.
In the meantime, you can try doing a find/replace in the CSV file and replace any double quotes in the file with the keyboard character, then try reimporting to see if that makes a difference. Otherwise, you may need to update the titles in manually on the site.
I’m sorry for the inconvenience that this has caused, but I’m glad that you were able to find the source of the issue! Please let me know if you are able to get all of the titles updated and if that gets the dropdowns working correctly on your site.
Thanks,
Jennifer
