    Hi Allison,

    Thanks for checking out our plugins!

    This is a creative way to use The Events Calendar, but I think it could work for you! The list view shows upcoming events by default, but using shortcodes, you can set a date from which you would like the list to start. The shortcodes come with Events Calendar Pro. If you’d like users to be able to submit events from the front end of your site, Community Events will allow you to do that.

    You can see an example of the list view at wpshindig.com.

    Since this is a bit of a unique use case, your best bet might be to try them out and see if they’ll work for you. We do offer full refunds within 30 days of purchase, so feel free to give them a test run!

    Please let me know if you have any other questions or need any additional details on how our plugins work.

    Thanks,

    Jennifer

    Hi Jill,

    Event Aggregator is a separate extension from Events Calendar Pro, so it does need to be purchased separately. We do however have some bundles that include both, such as the Importer Bundle.

    Please let me know if you have any other questions!

    Thanks,

    Jennifer

    Hi Paul,

    I’m glad you were able to get this worked out, and thanks for posting your solution! I’m actually going to see about updating some of our knowledge articles to include a note that that option should be checked. I’ve seen a few other cases where users have run into issues when it is not checked, so I think some additional clarity on our end could be of benefit here!

    If you do run into any other issues, please don’t hesitate to open up a new thread.

    Thanks,

    Jennifer

    Hi Karim,

    I’m sorry you’ve had such a hard time getting everything set up! I understand it can be confusing having several different plugins involved. We try to break up the functionality into separate plugins as lots of users may only need a few of the features that our different plugins offer.

    Just to clarify, you can create events using our free plugin, The Events Calendar, and you can also create free tickets using Event Tickets (also free). If you’d like to sell tickets, that’s when you would need to purchase a license, specifically for Event Tickets Plus. It sounds like Event Tickets Plus may be what you needed instead of Events Calendar Pro, which is what you currently have. They are the same price, and if you’d like, I’d be happy to switch out the license for you. Events Calendar Pro has some great features like additional calendar views, shortcodes, and support for recurring events, but it is not required to sell tickets.

    If you’d like to do this, you would not have to pay anything else, just install and activate the new plugins.

    You would still need to install either WooCommerce or Easy Digital Downloads, which are also free but required to sell tickets, as they handle the checkout process for you. We have it set up this way because if you had other products you wanted to sell on your site besides tickets, your users would be able to buy multiple things in one step, instead of having to go through a separate checkout process just for tickets.

    If you’d still like to request a refund, you can do so by filling out the form here.

    I apologize again for the misunderstanding, but if there’s anything else I can help with, I am happy to do so!

    Hi AJ,

    Sure! If you’re not familiar with RSS, I would recommend reading over this article. Essentially, The Events Calendar generates a feed of events, ordered by their start date, which can then be imported by other sites with an RSS feed reader automatically. You can find this feed at yoursite.com/events/rss. So, for people to subscribe to your calendar via RSS, they would need to be set up to accept the RSS feed. For example, I found this from Zapier, which sets up your Google calendar to automatically create events based on information received from an RSS feed.

    I know it isn’t the most straightforward solution, but it is the closest thing we currently have available to subscriptions out of the box. It’s possible, but would require a bit of configuration on the user’s end if they are not currently set up with a calendar that can create events from RSS feeds or another RSS reader.

    I hope that helps, but please let me know if you have any other questions!

    Thanks,

    Jennifer

    Hi Hendrik,

    To change the text in the cart, you might try out the Say What plugin, which allows you to change text around your site without having to use any code.

    The confirmation email actually comes from WooCommerce, so you would need to edit that text within that plugin. This is a bit outside the scope of the support we are able to provide here in the forums, but I would recommend taking a look at the WooCommerce Documentation, as well as the email template file. You can find that by going into WooCommerce > Settings > Email > New Order. You’ll see the PHP template by clicking the “View template” button at the bottom of the page.

    I hope that helps, and please let me know if you have any more questions!

    Thanks,

    Jennifer

    Hi Michael,

    Thanks for sending the screenshots! I think there are 2 issues:

    1. You need to use the custom field ID, which should begin with “_ecp_custom” and then have a number at the end. This should be used instead of “Video”. You can find this by going under Events > Settings > Additional Fields, clicking the field, and then clicking inspect element (see screenshot).
    2. Make sure you include the index: [0] like this: $url = $url[“_ecp_custom_4”][0];

    Does that make sense? Let me know if it works for you with these changes!

    Thanks,

    Jennifer

    Hi Bridget,

    I’m really glad it’s working for you now! I appreciate your patience and understanding while we worked on getting it figured out. Our forum guidelines mention a 24-48 hour response time, but we do always try to respond sooner when possible – typically it does not take that long.

    If you need help with anything else, please don’t hesitate to open up a new thread!

    Hi Penny,

    I spoke with our developers, and they updated that extension so that it now works on non-event post types. Here is the new version. You can delete the old version and upload this one instead.

    Were you able to find any conflicts that might be causing the issue with required fields?

    Hi Michael,

    No problem! There actually isn’t a formal “link event” section, I meant that you could put a link in the description back to the original event. Sorry for the confusion there!

    Let me know if you have any other questions.

    Thanks,

    Jennifer

    Hi Karim,

    Event Tickets Plus will let you sell tickets on your site, but it does require that either the WooCommerce plugin or Easy Digital Downloads plugin be installed and activated on your site (in addition to our free Event Tickets plugin). These are both free eCommerce platforms, and Event Tickets Plus uses them to handle the checkout process on your site. All payment setup and processing is done through one of these plugins. However, both options do come with PayPal!

    I hope that clears things up, but please let me know if you have any other questions!

    Thanks,

    Hi David,

    Thanks for reaching out – you are not doing anything wrong! I did some testing and was able to recreate the issue on my end. The abbreviation actually switches over for events not in the current month. This was intended to help with clarity, but you should be able to change it with a quick customization.

    First, you’ll need to copy the widget’s template into your child theme by following these instructions. The template can be found at wp-content/plugins/events-calendar-pro/src/views/pro/widgets/modules/single-event.php.

    In the copy of the template inside your child theme, you’ll see the following starting on line 62:

    <?php
    if (
    isset( $instance['tribe_is_list_widget'] )
    && date( 'm', $post_date ) != date( 'm', current_time( 'timestamp' ) )
    ) :
    ?>
    <span class="list-dayname">
    <?php
    echo apply_filters(
    'tribe-mini_helper_tribe_events_ajax_list_dayname',
    date_i18n( 'M', $post_date ),
    $post_date,
    $mini_cal_event_atts['class']
    );
    ?>
    </span>
    <?php else: ?>
    <span class="list-dayname">
    <?php
    echo apply_filters(
    'tribe-mini_helper_tribe_events_ajax_list_dayname',
    date_i18n( 'D', $post_date ),
    $post_date,
    $mini_cal_event_atts['class']
    );
    ?>
    </span>
    <?php endif; ?>

    If you would like only the months to show, you can simply comment out line 65 like this:

    // && date( 'm', $post_date ) != date( 'm', current_time( 'timestamp' ) )

    If you would like only the days to show, you can replace that code block with the following:

    <?php
    if (
    isset( $instance['tribe_is_list_widget'] )
    ) :
    ?>
    <span class="list-dayname">
    <?php
    echo apply_filters(
    'tribe-mini_helper_tribe_events_ajax_list_dayname',
    date_i18n( 'D', $post_date ),
    $post_date,
    $mini_cal_event_atts['class']
    );
    ?>
    </span>
    <?php endif; ?>

    I hope that helps. Please let me know if you have any questions or need help implementing this!

    Thanks,

    Jennifer

    Hi Uwe,

    Thanks for reaching out! This sounds like a neat feature, but it would definitely involve a customization. We currently do not do customizations, but if you’re comfortable jumping into the code, I can give you some recommendations on where to get started:

    First, you would need to associate the venues and organizers with users (one option would be to use the Advanced Custom Fields plugin to create a new “User” field on the venue post type – tribe_venue). From there, you could edit the venue and organizer templates (by following these instructions) for Community Events, found at wp-content/plugins/the-events-calendar-community-events/src/views/community/modules. You could then check the user against the custom user fields on the venues and organizers, and limit the options listed to the ones that match. ACF has some pretty good documentation on using their custom fields, so I would definitely recommend taking a look at that for more info on how this could be done. Our themer’s guide is another great resource for customizations.

    This would be pretty involved, but we do also have a list of recommended developers if you would like to get help with the code.

    If you have any questions or get stuck on the customization, please let me know! I’ll be happy to point you in the right direction.

    Thanks,

    Jennifer

    Hi Josh,

    I’ll be happy to look into this for you! I see a few EA licenses on your account – could you please paste the license you are referring to into a private reply? Also, when you say it’s not activating the additional import features, can you elaborate a bit more on what you mean? Are you able to see the additional EA sources listed?
