Michael
ParticipantHello,
I’m hoping that a fellow user may have come up with a solution for this:
I have multiple events via the calendar, most events are 1-2 days long (and has a single ticket purchase for each event).
I have one particular event that is spread over 3 weekends. At the moment, I have the events set up as 3 individual events and the user has to select each one (and in turn add to basket, then purchase).
I’d like to change this so that the user can only select the full course, I don’t want the option to select just one weekend.
I’d still like to maintain the position within the calendar though.
Has anyone come up against a similar issue and found a solution?
Cheers,
Michael

KeymasterHi Michael,
Thanks for reaching out!
One solution could be to set up a recurring event for the event that is spread across multiple weekends instead of three individual ones. This way, when you add the ticket to the event, it will be the same ticket across all events in the series instead of individual tickets for each time the event appears on the calendar. The downside here would be that each event in the series would have the same information – for example you wouldn’t be able to have separate titles like “Part 1”, “Part 2”, etc. Another way to do this would be to keep the separate events, but only add tickets to the original event. On the subsequent events, you could add a link back to the original event to buy tickets.
I know it isn’t the most eloquent solution, but I hope it helps! Please let me know if you help implementing anything.
Thanks,
Jennifer

ParticipantThank you Jennifer,
I tried finding the ‘link event’ section, I’ll dig deeper as I obviously missed it.
I think this will work well (albeit under the proviso that the info will be same for each event).
Thanks again!
Michael

KeymasterHi Michael,
No problem! There actually isn’t a formal “link event” section, I meant that you could put a link in the description back to the original event. Sorry for the confusion there!
Let me know if you have any other questions.
Thanks,
Jennifer

KeymasterHey there! This thread has been pretty quiet for the last three weeks, so we’re going to go ahead and close it to avoid confusion with other topics. If you’re still looking for help with this, please do open a new thread, reference this one and we’d be more than happy to continue the conversation over there.
Thanks so much!
