    Hi Keith,

Thanks for reaching out! You can change the title with the snippet in this article, and you can use the snippet in this article to add a meta description.

    Hi George,

    6. This looks similar to the default styling for map view, either with some customizations or styling inherited from the theme. You can see what the default map view looks like here on wpshindig.com. Your theme will affect the styling of events pages, but you can adjust the settings to use either the default events templates or your theme’s templates for events pages.

    7. It will not be “linked” to the source and automatically updated any time a change is made to the original event, but you can schedule imports and set the import settings to “Overwrite my event with any changes from the original source” so that any changes to the original event will overwrite the information for that event on your site.

    8. At this time, it is not possible to overwrite the details of some events but not others. However, you could exclude the events that you don’t want to update from the import, and no changes will be made to those events on your site.

    9. We do not currently have a demo site with admin access, but we do offer full refunds within 30 days of purchase, so feel free to take any of our premium extensions for a test run!

    10. Yes, you will have a past events page on your site by default (http://wpshindig.com/events/list/?tribe_event_display=past), and you can also display events starting from any point in time (including in the past) by using the “date” parameter with the shortcodes that come with Pro.

Let me know if you have any other questions!

    Thanks,

    Jennifer

    Hi George,

Thanks for checking out our plugins!

    1. If you want to hide the description, you can edit the template for list view to remove the description/excerpt. Our themer’s guide has some more info on doing customizations like this.
    2. In month view, featured events display at the top of the day by default, not above the calendar, but you could display featured events separately from the calendar using widgets or the widget shortcodes that come with Events Calendar Pro.
    3. With the select box, users do need to click the box before seeing the list, but you do have the option to change how the options are displayed in Filter Bar. You can change the select box to checkboxes, in which case the list would be displayed as soon as the user clicks “Country” (see screenshot).
    4. Once events have been imported into your site, they are there whether the license is active or not. However, you will not be able to import any new events with Event Aggregator after the license expires. For all of our other extensions (including Filter Bar), you can continue using the plugin on your site, but until you renew the license, you will no longer be able to update the plugin or have access to premium support.
    5. You would be able to upgrade to a business license later on – just let us know when you’re ready to do so, and we’ll get it sorted out for you!

Please let me know if you have any other questions or need further clarification on anything!

    Thanks,

    Jennifer

    Hi Alyson,

    Thanks for reaching out!

“Share capacity with other tickets” is what was previously referred to as “global stock”. This means that on any event, if a user buys a ticket that shares its capacity with other tickets, the available stock for the other tickets will decrease by one as well. You can find instructions on how tickets work here.

Unfortunately support for recurring tickets was not included in the latest release. Sorry to disappoint you there! This is a feature we are working on, but I don’t have a timeline yet as to when it will be released. If you haven’t done so already, I would recommend casting your vote on the request for this feature here. This helps us determine which new features are of the most interest to our users and lets you stay up to date on progress.

If you have any other questions, please let me know!

    Thanks,

    Jennifer

    Hi Georges,

I’m sorry to hear the end date isn’t saving for you! I just tested this out on my end but was not able to recreate the issue.

Could you please share your system information with me? Is this happening on every event or only on certain events?

If you haven’t done so already, can you also try testing for conflicts with your theme and other plugins?

    Thanks,

    Jennifer

    Hello,

Thanks for reaching out! I just tested this out on my end but was not able to recreate the issue. Could you please send me a link to this event so that I can take a look? If you could also send a screenshot of your recurrence settings (with the rules expanded) and share your system info with me, that would be helpful as well.

    Thanks!

    Hi Emma,

Thanks for reaching out! I took a look at your site (http://newlifecroydon.co.uk/dev2/events), and it looks like the menu is no longer overlapping the events content. The background is also white. Were you able to get this resolved?

You can adjust some of the colors for events by going to Appearance > Customize > The Events Calendar.

Let me know if you need any further assistance with this!

    Thanks,

    Jennifer

    Hi Chris!

You can add this text into the template for that page by following these instructions to copy the template into your child theme, where you can then edit it. The template can be found at wp-content/plugins/the-events-calendar-community-events/src/views/community/edit-event.php.

Once you’ve copied it over, you can add the text in wherever you’d like, and your new template will override the default one from the plugin.

Let me know how this works for you and if you have any questions!

    Thanks,

    Jennifer

    Hi Chris,

    Thanks for reaching out!

The answer to both of your questions is technically yes, however both would require a customization. Our themer’s guide is the place to start if you’d like to give it a shot, and our functions list should also be helpful, such as the tribe_get_events function. If you’d like to have the code done for you, we have a list of recommended developers that you could contact as well.

I’m sorry I don’t have a better answer for you, but please let me know if you get stuck with the code – I’ll be happy to answer questions and help point you in the right direction!

    Thanks,

    Jennifer

    Hi Mario,

Thanks for reaching out, and I’m sorry to hear you haven’t been able to get your events set up the way you need to!

Just to make sure I understand correctly, it sounds like you need to create an event that spans multiple consecutive days, has separate start and end times for each day, and shows one price for the whole event?

If you don’t need to display a specific start and end time on each day, then I would recommend setting the start time for when the event begins on the first day and the end time for when the event ends on the last day. This will make it clear to users that the multiple days are all one single event. You could also to create a custom field for a start and end time, for example using “Event begins/ends at” as the labels and then entering the times when you create the event. This way, it should be clearer to users that multiple days are part of one event, and you can still display the start/end time for each day (assuming they are the same for all days).

Alternatively, if you want to show each days’s start and end time as the start and end time for the event, then the recurring events are going to be your best bet. It sounds like the problem with this method is that it is not clear to users that the series is one event (and the price appears to be as the price per day)? Unfortunately I’m not sure what to recommend as far as changing the display of recurring events, since each day/instance in the series will essentially be a copy of the first event. With a customization, you could potentially hide certain information (such as the price) on subsequent events in the series, or add a custom message after the price to indicate that it covers the entire event. If you’d like to go this route, our themer’s guide is the place to start! Our functions list would also be helpful.

Regarding the export, iCal exports will currently be exporting as single events, but if you would like to have them exported as a series instead, you can use this snippet. Recurring events will also be exported as single events for Google, as the API that we use to add events can only export a single event at a time.

Please let me know if this helps or if you have any other questions!

    Thanks,

    Jennifer

    Hi Hans,

I’m sorry you’re running into this issue as well! You are correct that the fix for this was not included in our last release. Unfortunately I don’t have a timeline I can give you as to when it will be resolved, but I linked this thread to our internal ticket – as soon as we release the fix, you’ll be notified here.

I’m sorry for the inconvenience, and thank you for your patience as we work on getting this resolved!

    Hi Dave,

Thanks for the great feedback! I’m glad to hear you were able to get this working the way you want it to, and thanks for sharing your solution here! I’m sure other users will benefit from it as well. If you’d like to see this feature built in to a future release, please do post this as a feature request over in our Feature Ideas Forum! This is very helpful for us in gauging user interest in new features and guiding future development efforts.

I’ll go ahead and close out this thread, but please feel free to open a new one if you have any other questions!

    Thanks,

    Jennifer

in reply to: SHORTCODE TO DISPLAY TICKETS ON A WORDPRESS OR DIVI PAGE #1389994

    Hi Stéphane,

Thanks for reaching out! We do not currently have any shortcodes to display tickets separately from events, but you could try using the shortcodes that come with WooCommerce, as tickets are essentially WooCommerce simple products. If you would like to use the full product page for tickets instead of the default form on the event pages, this article has some information on how you can do that.

Let me know if this works for you or if you have any questions!

    Thanks,

    Jennifer
