    Hello,

While there is not currently an out of the box way to display events by author, Pro does come with  organizer pages that will display all upcoming events for that organizer by default. Adding “organizer” or “author” as a parameter would require a customization. If you’d like to give it a shot, our themer’s guide has lots of great info on customizing our plugins, and this post might be helpful as well.

Please do post this as a feature request over in our Feature Ideas Forum, which is what we use to gauge user interest in new features and help guide future development efforts.

I’m sorry I don’t have a better answer for you here, but please let me know if you have any questions!

    Thanks,

    Jennifer

    Hi Nityanand,

Unfortunately there is no way to separate out just the shortcode functionality from Events Calendar Pro, so in order to use the [tribe_events_list] shortcode, you would need to purchase Pro. You might want to look into some of our bundles, and I would also recommend subscribing to our newsletter, as we occasionally run promotions.

I’m sorry I don’t have a better answer for you here, but if you have any questions, please let me know!

    Thanks,

    Jennifer

No worries, glad to hear it’s working! The fields are hidden so that the correct number of them can be displayed as the quantity is increased, but I can see how it could be confusing having them hidden by default.

Since this has been marked “resolved”, I’ll go ahead and close it out. Please feel free to open up a new thread if you run into any other issues!

We do have an open feature request for adding support for recurring tickets, meaning that each date in a recurring event series can have its own tickets. Currently, only the series as a whole can have tickets.

If you’re selling all dates in the series together, then displaying all dates in the series on the tickets might work for you. The purpose here would really be to provide clarity to the users that their tickets were indeed good for all dates in the series.

If you’re wanting to sell each date in a series individually, then currently the only way to do this would be to create 6 separate tickets on the series, one for each day (example: General Admission March 1, General Admission Mar 8, etc.). All 6 tickets will show up on all dates in the series, so users would need to select the ticket for the date they want to attend.

We are currently working on improving this functionality, and if you are interested in recurring tickets, please do cast your vote for the feature request so that you can stay up to date on progress!

Please let me know if you have any questions.

    Thanks,

    Jennifer

    Hi Amy!

There is not currently a way to add additional fields to the submission form without a customization. Sorry for the bad news there! If you would like to give the customization a shot, our themer’s guide is the place to start. The template for the submission form can be found at wp-content/plugins/the-events-calendar-community-events/src/views/community/edit-event.php.

Events Calendar Pro lets you create custom fields for events, which will show up on the event submission page, but these fields will be the same for all events (created from the front end and back). Rick, you can create checkboxes, dropdowns, and radio buttons, but setting default values would require a customization.

Unfortunately there is not currently a shortcode for the event submission form. We do have an open feature request for this, so please do cast your vote for it! This helps us gauge user interest in new features and help guide future development efforts.

I’m sorry I don’t have a better answer for you here, but please let me know if you have any questions!

    Thanks,

    Jennifer

    Hi Dan!

You can edit the form by following the instructions here to copy the template into your child theme, where you can then edit it. The template you want can be found at wp-content/plugins/event-tickets-plus/src/views/wootickets/tickets.php.

We are a bit limited in the amount of support that we can provide for customizations, but if you get stuck or have any questions, please let me know!

    Thanks,

    Jennifer

    Hello,

I’m sorry you’re having such a hard time creating events!

I did some testing on my end but was not able to recreate this in my local environment. As a first troubleshooting step, can you try testing for conflicts with your theme and other plugins by following these instructions? Make sure to have WP_DEBUG enabled while testing to make sure that any errors will be displayed. If you do get any errors, please include them in your reply. Let me know what you find!

    Thanks,

    Jennifer

    Hello,

I’m sorry you haven’t been able to get going with Community Events, but I’ll be happy to help you figure out what’s going wrong!

It looks like Community Events is installed and activated on your site, so you should now be able to access the front end form by going to yoursite.com/events/community/add. If you haven’t come across this particular article already, it should be helpful in getting familiar with the Community Events interface.

I took a look at your site, and I see that the submission form is not displaying correctly on the front end. This is usually due to a theme/plugin conflict. Can you try running through the steps outlined here to see if you can find any conflicts?

    Thanks,

    Jennifer

    Hi Don,

Thanks for checking out our plugins!

You can display separate calendars by using the category filter with the shortcodes that come with Events Calendar Pro. You would also have venue and organizer pages, which display all upcoming events for each organizer/venue.

You can display today’s events by using day view, which does let you click on events to view the event page, and you can see some demos of our widgets here.

Regarding reseting the calendar to today, this would really only apply to day view…there is not a button to go back to today, but there are previous and next links to click back and forth between days.

If you’d like to test out Pro, we do offer full refunds within 30 days of purchase, so feel free to do so! Please let me know if you have any other questions.

    Thanks,

    Jennifer

    Hi Jodi,

In reviewing some open tickets that we have in our internal system, we noticed that this one never had a clear resolution and wanted to follow up one more time to see if you are still running into these performance issues and if you had any luck with the steps that our developer recommended. If there’s anything else we can do to help, please let me know!

Threads do get automatically closed after two weeks of inactivity, but if that happens again and you still need assistance down the line, please don’t hesitate to open up a new thread! We’ll be happy to continue working with you on this.

    Thanks,

    Jennifer

    Hi Heather,

I’m sorry you’re running into this issue with the attendee fields. I took a look at the link you sent (in Chrome), and the fields are showing up on my end (see screenshot). Were you able to get this resolved? The fields will be set to display:none initially, until the user increases the ticket quantity.

Please let me know if you need any further assistance with this!

    Thanks,

    Jennifer

Thanks for clarifying and sending that information over!

Tickets on recurring events are technically for the series as a whole – it is currently not possible to add individual tickets to each date in the series. So, when users buy a ticket on a series, they are in essence registering for each date in the series, even though only the first date will show on the ticket by default.

Would displaying all dates in the series on the ticket solve this problem for you? If so, you could do this by customizing the ticket template. This article has instructions on how to copy it into your child theme, where you can edit it. Our list of functions should also be helpful. We are a bit limited in the amount of support that we can provide for customizations, but if you want to give it a try and get stuck or have any questions, please let me know. I’ll be happy to point you in the right direction!

If this solution isn’t doesn’t help or I’ve misunderstood what you’re looking for, please let me know!

    Hi James,

I definitely understand where you’re coming from, and you are correct that there are many users who have been asking about this feature. From a development standpoint, it’s a bit more complicated than it may seem, and with limited resources and several other things also in the works (bug fixes, additional features, performance enhancements, etc.), it hasn’t made it into a release yet.

But we are definitely working on it, and as soon as we have an update, we’ll post it on the feature request. I hope you are able to find a solution that works for you and your client in the meantime, and please let me know if there is anything else that I can help with!

    Thanks,

    Jennifer
