    Welcome back,

    Thank you for reviewing the Testing for conflicts guide. I checked our logged bug reports for anything resembling the issue you’re having, but there aren’t any at this time.

    The next step here would be to set up a test environment with the default WP theme and only our plugins installed and activated to see if you can reproduce the issue. Should it come to it, we have a list of customizers that can help further troubleshoot. Please keep me updated and take care.

    Hi Jan,

    My apologies for not being clear about what to do with the provided code. Try adding it to the bottom of your theme’s functions.php file. It’s best you do this with a text editor that’s connected via FTP or through your cPanel File Explorer so if for some reason it causes an error on your site, you can simply remove the snippet so the site works again.

    If you have any troubles, feel free to copy the entire contents of your functions.php file into pastebin.com and share a link with me. I’d be happy to make sure the code works properly and doesn’t cause any errors on your site.

    Thank you and have a good rest of your evening. Cheers!

    Hey Samuel,

    Can you install and activate WP Crontrol? Once you’ve done that, visit Tools > Cron Events and delete any cron jobs relating to Event Aggregator. Let me know if you’re able to successfully stop the import.

    While you’re working on that, I will spend more time testing. A bug popped up resembling your initial issue about event info not updating on your site after it’s been updated on the Google Calendar, but I need to spend a little more time confirming they’re related. We’ll touch base once I hear back from you.

    Thank you again for your continued patience. Cheers!

    Hello,

    Thank you for the response. I truly apologize about misunderstanding the situation. I assumed you were not going to be using The Events Calendar any longer in addition to the premium plugins you were refunded for.

    With that said, it’s been brought to my attention we’ve extended your license until we get the issue resolved. Please install/activate WP Crontrol. Once that’s done, visit Tools > Cron Events and delete all crons related to The Events Calendar.

    If you haven’t already, please set up a test environment where you can fully troubleshoot the issue. We are not able to provide assistance if you’re unable to fully test as required in our Testing for conflicts guide.

    If that doesn’t work, please respond to your initial thread and we’d be happy to provide an SQL query to resolve the situation. Thank you for understanding and your patience while we worked out this mishap. Take care!

    Hi Diane 🙂

    Sorry to hear you’re experiencing issues. Are the duplicate events recurring events or are they individual events? What do you have set for ‘Event Update Authority‘ and ‘Default Status‘ under Events > Settings > Imports? A screenshot of the entire ‘Imports‘ settings page would be helpful.

    It’s also required you review our Testing for conflicts guide to ensure a theme and/or plugin conflict is not in play. Please let me know the results from this test. If you’re unable to do so on your live site, please set up a test environment so you can fully troubleshoot the conflict.

    Lastly, it appears your complete System Information didn’t come through. Can you please review our System Information Knowledgebase article and send that information over as a private reply? Please keep me updated and have a great evening. Cheers!

    Welcome back, Tabea!

    Sorry to hear you’re having troubles. In response to both questions, I’ll need you to review our Testing for conflicts guide and reply back with what you learn.

    I am not able to reproduce either issue you’ve mentioned, so once we eliminate the possibility of a theme and/or plugin conflict, we’ll continue investigating. Thank you and have a wonderful evening!

    Hello, Nora 🙂

    I would be happy to help! Try adding the following code wherever you normally handle CSS changes. This is typically by editing your theme’s style.css file or if your theme author has included a section for CSS, try adding it there. Please let me know how it works out and thanks for choosing PRO. Cheers!

    .single-tribe_events a.tribe-events-ical, .single-tribe_events a.tribe-events-gcal {
    display:none!important;
    }

    Hey Tommy,

    Welcome back to our premium plugin forums. I did a quick test and I’m not experiencing the same behavior as you. When I make a change to my main calendar, it also affects the [tribe_events] shortcode styles. For example, I added the following CSS to my theme’s style.css file and it changed the background color of the active day in month view to red on both the main calendar and the calendar seen when using the [tribe_events] shortcode.

    #tribe-events td.tribe-events-present div[id*="tribe-events-daynum-"] {
    background-color: #ff0000 !important;
    color: #fff;
    }

    Have you tried different options under Events > Settings > Display to see if you get the desired results? Let me know if that makes any difference and we’ll go from there. Cheers!

    Hello 🙂

    Welcome to our Pre-Sales Questions channel and thank you for reaching out. I would be happy to help answer your questions.

    let say you choose Thanksgiving, you can read a description, and then break down all the events that related to this holiday and under you condition- category, area….

    I believe you answered your own question! You could definitely use categories and/or tags to break down relative events. Our Filter Bar plugin allows users to easily filter events. You can see it in action on our demo site.

    Second, do you have any integration with Mailchimp, that my subscribers can get a monthly newsletter with upcoming events under their preferences (location, categories…)

    We don’t have any official integration with MailChimp, but I’ll paste below the response provided to a similar request made over on our UserVoice Feature Ideas suggestion page:

    This feature is already nicely handled by the third party paid addon: Event Calendar Newsletter Pro. It can directly send out email campaigns showcasing upcoming events, or be integrated into a recurring MailChimp one using MailChimp’s RSS campaigns. A great solution all-in-all.

    And to answer your last question, I can’t think of any sites relating to travel and tourism off the top of my head, but we have tons of examples on our Showcase page.

    Please let me know if I’ve sufficiently addressed your questions and feel free to reply back with any more questions you might have. Thanks again and take care!

    Hi Guido,

    Welcome back and sorry to hear about the performance issues. I notice you’re running The Events Calendar 4.1.4 which is fairly outdated. Can you please update to the most recent version? I also notice you’re still using the iCal Importer plugin. We are currently retiring that plugin and replacing it with our Event Aggregator plugin.

    Event Aggreagor is built into the free calendar plugin, but you’ll need to access your License Keys page and copy the Event Aggregator license and input it into your Events > Settings > Licenses > Event Aggregator field to gain the import features. Please review our Moving to Event Aggregator Knowledgebase article for complete details.

    I also recommend reviewing the following posts relating to Event Aggregator and all it’s glory:

    A few other helpful articles in relation to performance:

    Please let me know if upgrading makes an impact on your load times and have a great rest of your evening. Cheers!

    Hi Jan,

    Welcome to our premium plugin support forums and thank you for your purchase. I have a snippet which I’ll share below, but please note it’s a very rough draft and may require some tweaking to get it working properly. You’ll have to take the reigns from here. Please review our What support is provided for license holders for more information.

    // [tribe_mini_calendar_date eventDate="2017-08"]
    function tribe_mini_calendar_date_func( $args ) {

    // add event date
    if ( isset( $args['eventdate'] ) ) {
    define ( 'DOING_AJAX', true);
    $_POST['eventDate'] = $args['eventdate'];
    }

    ob_start();
    the_widget( 'Tribe__Events__Pro__Mini_Calendar_Widget', $args, $args );
    return ob_get_clean();
    }
    add_shortcode( 'tribe_mini_calendar_date', 'tribe_mini_calendar_date_func' );

    Change the [tribe_mini_calendar_date eventDate=”2017-08“] bolded text to the year/month you want events displayed from. If you need further assistance, we have a list of customizers available for hire. Lastly, this is an idea I feel is worth mentioning via our UserVoice Feature Ideas suggestion channel.

    Thanks again and best of luck with the customizations. Cheers!
