ParticipantHey @danfeeley,
Thank you for reporting this. I do not find that same behavior on my own testing site, so I’m curious as to the origin of the problem on your site. To help keep this thread focused on @Jessica’s issues, can you open a new thread if you haven’t done so already? Share your system information there and include a link to a page on your site where the mobile calendar view will be visible.
Thank you!

ParticipantThank you so much for this information, @awakeninghearts!
I’ve looked through everything and unfortunately cannot find any outright-obvious culprits.
I say “unfortunately” because, since I cannot find any obvious culprits, my best recommendation here is to perform all of the troubleshooting steps in this article → https://theeventscalendar.com/knowledgebase/testing-for-conflicts/
After EACH STEP in that process, check back on your edit-event screen and see if anything is different in regards to these issues.
Does anything change along the way when you do these steps?
Thank you!

ParticipantHi there,
This will unfortunately require custom coding, which we can’t help much with, unfortunately. Read this article to learn more → https://theeventscalendar.com/knowledgebase/what-support-is-provided-for-license-holders/
Despite that policy, I’m happy to help try and write the CSS to hide this.
Can you clarify if you want the Day Names to persist, though?
So, for example, if you have this on your events:
March 15 @ 7pm–8pm
Do you want to keep the March 15 and just get rid of the rest? Or do you want the March 15 to be gone, too?
Thanks!
GeorgeGeorge
ParticipantHey Steve,
I’m sorry to hear about these issues!
First, can you post your system information here with us? Here’s how to do that: https://theeventscalendar.com/knowledgebase/sharing-sys-info/
Next, can you clarify that in your theme and plugin testing, your site was in a state where a default theme like Twenty Sixteen was activated AND the only active plugins were The Events Calendar and Events Calendar Pro, nothing else? I’m just wondering if this was the state of things when you did your plugin/theme testing—or was your process differently separated, so that perhaps at times there were other plugins activated and/or the Divi theme activated etc.
Thank you!

ParticipantHey there,
I took a look at your site and saw that a bug we are currently investigating is the culprit here.
I’m really sorry for the trouble! We’re working hard on a fix for this bug.
In the meantime, I’m wondering—do you happen to have a Page in your wp-admin whose title is “Calendar”?
Thank you!

ParticipantHey there,
I’m really sorry to hear about this.
Can you share a link to your events page, along with your System Information? Here’s how to share the system information → https://theeventscalendar.com/knowledgebase/sharing-sys-info/
I’ll take a closer look and will see if I can identify a culprit.
Thank you!

ParticipantHey Jeff!
Thanks for your interest in our plugins. I’m sorry to say that we don’t have any such “trial” feature at this time—the best we have is our thirty-day no-questions-asked refund policy, which many folks use as a simulacrum for a trial period.
That policy means that within thirty days from your date of purchase, you can request a refund any time using the steps here → https://theeventscalendar.com/knowledgebase/refund-policy/. We will then issue a full refund immediately.
I hope this helps!

ParticipantSorry to hear about this, Jason!
The licenses tab works fine for me in the same versions of the plugins you list—so to help investigate this a bit, can you start by sharing your system information with us? Here’s how: https://theeventscalendar.com/knowledgebase/sharing-sys-info/
Thank you!

ParticipantHey Mark!
Thanks for reaching out.
1. Is it possible to have users create and edit their own events? (Is there a way to ensure that they only have permissions to edit their own as well)
Yes, and no—YES it is possible to let people make user accounts, and then make and edit events. But NO, it is not possible to limit their editing capabilities to only their events. You can limit edit-access to user level types, like Authors only or Editors only, but not to a specific individual user at a time. (At least, not without extensive custom development to make this a feature.)
2. Is it possible to search and provide a list or calendar view of a particular organizer’s events?
At this time, we do not have this functionality. 🙁 Sorry to disappoint!
3. Is it possible to have custom dates for recurring events? (I offer classes that are recurring but they are assigned to nights when I am available and my schedule changes from month to month)
Yes, it is possible to create specific event instances within a series, and you can get pretty clever and pattern-breaking with our recurrence features. To get a better sense of the limitations and such, though, I would recommend reading through this article → https://theeventscalendar.com/knowledgebase/pro-recurring-events/
On that note, it’s worth mentioning that we have a no-questions-asked refund policy as long as you request the refund within thirty days of your purchase. This is the closest thing we have to a “trial” period—and many people use this policy to facilitate exactly that, a trial period with our plugins to get to play around with them firsthand. So I just wanted to mention this in case it’s helpful for you, too.
Cheers!

ParticipantHey Bobby,
You should be able to do this by using the tribe_get_events() function on your site. While we cannot help with custom code-writing (see this article for more about that), we have a handy article about using that function here:
So, for example, something as simple as this should do the trick:
$events = tribe_get_events( array(
'posts_per_page' => 10,
'eventDisplay' => 'past'
) );
I hope this helps! Explore that knowledgebase article, tinker around a bit, and see what you can come up with—and let me know if I can try to help anything else.
Sincerely,
GeorgeGeorge
ParticipantHey Harrison,
Thanks for reaching out!
We unfortunately aren’t able to help much here, since the shortcode you’re using is not a shortcode we make. I do not know what elements you’d need, and would recommend reaching out to the Divi support folks for assistance here instead.
If there’s anything I can help with, let me know. Check out this page to see what sorts of things we’re able to help with → https://theeventscalendar.com/knowledgebase/what-support-is-provided-for-license-holders/
Thank you!

ParticipantHey @tsunamie,
Thank you for your renewal! I’m sorry to hear about the issues your users have with adding/editing events—can you clarify if, by this, you mean users submitting events through the Community Events submission form?
Also, are these all users who have user accounts on your site? So that i.e. they have to log in to your site to submit/edit event content?
Finally, for now, can you post your system information here? That’ll help us investigate. You can post the information by following the steps here: https://theeventscalendar.com/knowledgebase/sharing-sys-info/
Thank you!

ParticipantHey Douglas,
Thanks for reaching out!
I can totally see how generic QR Reader apps might be a bit slow for checking tickets at the gates. If you find any other QR-code scanning solution to use, it should work well as long as it scans typical QR codes.
In terms of the rest of the attendees management process, improving this process for when there are many attendees is something we’re investing time and resources into; we can definitely improve the handling of many attendees.
Out of curiosity, and only if you’re comfortable revealing this sort of thing, what is the rough range of attendees for the type of events you’re referring to? Are you dealing with several dozens to low hundreds, for example? Many hundreds? Thousands?
Thank you!
GeorgeGeorge
ParticipantHey Craig,
I’m sorry for any trouble here, and would like to clarify two things in regards to your questions—I hope this information helps!
1. While I do not know when we definitively will release the 4.1.1 update, I do know that we will NOT be able to release by the end of today. I would not expect this to be launched until some time next week, perhaps, though this projection too is just an estimate!
2. Those folder names can be renamed, if you’re comfortable using FTP—you can head to wp-content/plugins in your site and rename the plugins so that they’re as follows:
• Filter Bar → the-events-calendar-filterbar
• Events Calendar Pro → events-calendar-proSincerely,
GeorgeGeorge
ParticipantHey Josh!
There is unfortunately no support for recurring events in our free plugin.
Recurring events are ONLY available in Events Calendar Pro.
I hope this helps!
