GuestI am considering the purchase of Events Calendar Pro, but I would like to have a few questions answered first.
1. Is it possible to have users create and edit their own events? (Is there a way to ensure that they only have permissions to edit their own as well)
2. Is it possible to search and provide a list or calendar view of a particular organizer’s events?
3. Is it possible to have custom dates for recurring events? (I offer classes that are recurring but they are assigned to nights when I am available and my schedule changes from month to month)
Thanks

ParticipantHey Mark!
Thanks for reaching out.
1. Is it possible to have users create and edit their own events? (Is there a way to ensure that they only have permissions to edit their own as well)
Yes, and no—YES it is possible to let people make user accounts, and then make and edit events. But NO, it is not possible to limit their editing capabilities to only their events. You can limit edit-access to user level types, like Authors only or Editors only, but not to a specific individual user at a time. (At least, not without extensive custom development to make this a feature.)
2. Is it possible to search and provide a list or calendar view of a particular organizer’s events?
At this time, we do not have this functionality. 🙁 Sorry to disappoint!
3. Is it possible to have custom dates for recurring events? (I offer classes that are recurring but they are assigned to nights when I am available and my schedule changes from month to month)
Yes, it is possible to create specific event instances within a series, and you can get pretty clever and pattern-breaking with our recurrence features. To get a better sense of the limitations and such, though, I would recommend reading through this article → https://theeventscalendar.com/knowledgebase/pro-recurring-events/
On that note, it’s worth mentioning that we have a no-questions-asked refund policy as long as you request the refund within thirty days of your purchase. This is the closest thing we have to a “trial” period—and many people use this policy to facilitate exactly that, a trial period with our plugins to get to play around with them firsthand. So I just wanted to mention this in case it’s helpful for you, too.
Cheers!
