MemberGood evening Joel and welcome to the Events Calendar forum!
Thank you for your interest in our products and we’ll be glad to answer your questions.
Without knowing which Events plugin you are using, it’s difficult to give you a proper answer, but I would love to be able to 🙂
As long as your current plugin allows you to export events in ics (Google / Apple Calendars) you should be able to import them in the Events Calendar using one of our premium plugins: https://theeventscalendar.com/product/ical-importer/
If you are able to export your events in a csv format, then you can use our built-in CSV importer to import all of your events in the Events Calendar.
Let me know if that helps.
Have a great day!

MemberGood evening Craig and welcome to the Events Calendar forum!
Thank you for your interest in our products and we’ll be glad to answer your questions.
Based on Timely’s own documentation, it is possible to export your events in a variety of formats.
If you manage to get the .ics file or ics feed for your calendar, you could then import your all in one events calendar using our wonderful iCal importer premium plugin. As you can see it’s pretty straight forward 🙂
Let me know if that helps.
Have a great day!

MemberGood evening Ginette and welcome back!
Thank you for reaching out to us.
We are sorry to hear about the Events Calendar disappearing on you, this is very odd and must be pretty scary.
We will gladly try to assist you on this topic. As a first step, I need to ask you a simple question: do you have FTP access to your site ?
If so, please follow the following steps:
- Log in to your site with your favorite FTP client
- Go to the /wp-content/plugins folder and tell me if you see the-events-calendar folder ?
- Go over to https://wordpress.org/plugins/the-events-calendar/ and download the latest version of the plugin
- Drag and drop the files of the download into the-events-calendar folder
- If the folder is no longer there, just drag and drop the newly downloaded the-events-calendar folder in the /wp-content/plugins folder
If you don’t have FTP access, here are the recommended steps:
- Go to Plugins -> Add new
- Search for the<b> </b>Events<b> </b>Calendar
- Install the plugin through WordPress’s interface (as if you were doing it for the first time)
Let me know if that helps.
Have a great day!

MemberGood evening Maximiliano,
Thank you for running the tests and I’m sorry about the confusion.
These are indeed some pretty surprising results! If you don’t mind just to make sure we take the right approach for solving this, I have a couple of questions and suggestions for you.
During the tests (assuming you deactivated all other plugins AND reverted back to a default WordPress theme):
- Were the issues still present during that specific time ? (where everything else was deactivated)
Since it is not normal that you should have 2 separate events menu in the backend, I am pretty sure this is the source of the issues you have been experiencing.
The “good” one should be the one at the top, the one below looks like a much older version of the plugin.Could you please try the following things and check immediately if that impacts the number of the Events menu in the backend for you (you will need to check after each step):
- Is it possible that <b>the Events Calendar </b>is installed as a multisite plugin at the master site level as well ? If so, I would deactivate it unless it serves some other purposes.
- Can you temporarily revert to a default WordPress theme and tell me if you still have the issues and if the second Events menu is gone ?
- Could you deactivate the The Events Calendar: Venue/Organizer Shortcodes plugin and see if that changes anything (this plugin is fairly old and might be broken) ?
- Can you check in your WordPress theme’s folder if there is a folder titled tribe-events ?
Have a great day!

MemberGood evening Keith,
I am sorry to hear about all the inconvenience this has caused and I definitely understand where you are coming from.
Based on the fact that you are now in my colleague George’s good hands, there is very little more I can do on this specific topic.
However, for what it’s worth, I want to thank you for helping us uncover this issue which in turn helps us make a better product.
Best regards,

MemberGood afternoon Jean,
I realize you are still struggling with the recurring event (which I am sorry for).
I probably did not communicate my thoughts accurately.
For some reason I thought you had changed the date format, but it turns out you did not. My apologies. As I said in a previous response, there is currently an official bug affecting past recurring events displaying all events.
Our team is working on solving this issue and you will be notified as soon as it’s fixed.Thank you for your patience.
Have a great day!

MemberGood evening Per,
Thank you for getting back to us.
I am sorry my recommendation didn’t pay off. But I will gladly stick with you until we get to the bottom of things.
First of all I would love to see the shop pages and the events pages. However I am unsure what URLS to use ?
In case you didn’t know (I’m going out on a limb here), there are also language files specifically for <b>the Events Tickets Plus</b>.
You can find them at /wp-content/plugins/event-tickets-plus/lang
Although you will find some language po/mo files and the pot file in that directory, please know we are actually using Glotpress to maintain translations as described in the following article.
So my best guess (until I get the URLs) is that either there is po/mo file missing or it might not have been updated with the latest pot file.
Let me know if that helps.
Have a great day!

MemberGood evening Amin,
Thank you for trying the Cache route out. I am sorry that it did not help out.
This is becoming quite an issue now as the site is getting more and more hits and I really don’t want to pay more after already buying the plugin.
I agree with you. You shouldn’t have to pay more than you already have.
That being said, as you know, there is a limit to how much we can do to support the bugs that arise as part of customization or WordPress template conflict. What is going on is that the ::after section that contains the mobile navigation dot is not even being generated in the HTML of your site. This is usually paired with the mobile breakpoint (768px).
This makes me think that there might be some function interfering with the breakpoint in the functions.php file of your theme.
You can read about the breakpoint here. There are 2 other things I would like you to explore:
- Can you tell me what page template is being used under Events -> Settings -> Display ?
- Can you switch the Default stylesheet used for events templates setting in Events -> Settings -> Display to Tribe Events Styles and see if that helps making the navigation dot appear ?
Finally, the other thing I would look at is any filter functions found in functions.php of your theme. Especially the ones being applied to the_content.
I have a hunch removal of these filters might be your ticket out.Let me know how that goes.
Have a great evening!

MemberGood evening Terry,
As promised, I did follow up on this topic with our senior team members.
The outcome was that I was asked to perform in-depth testing.
The idea being to make sure that no stone is left unturned and that whatever happens, this type of issue no longer poses a problem to any of our clients.I will manually be recreating the events in my own calendar and perform a step by step import to see where things break.
On top of that, with your permission, I would like to run the exact same import you are. As such, could you please provide me with the Calendar feed URL you are using ? (in a private reply preferably).
Thank you once again for your cooperation on getting to the bottom of this.
Have a great evening!

MemberGood evening Kathy,
This is awesome! Congratulations on finding a resolution that pleases you!
It turns out this is more elegant and simpler than the solution I was going to present to you after talking to my team mate.
So I am going to go ahead and close this one.Have an awesome week and you are always welcome back here if you have additional questions.

MemberGood afternoon Stephanie,
I’m glad my last reply was helpful to you.
Is there other options for them other than PayPal, or is that it for now ?
Currently, only PayPal is available. However, depending on your situation, you might want to investigate the split payments option as documented in the following post: https://theeventscalendar.com/knowledgebase/configuring-community-tickets/
Is there anything else I can help you with ?
Have a great day!

MemberGood morning Teresa,
I am sorry about the misunderstanding.
To clarify, yes it should be the same template for both which is probably why I misread what you were trying to say.If you do not mind what would be very helpful moving forward is:
- URLs to both your normal events page and your community events page so that I can investigate further.
- Using a tool such as Gist or Dropbox, a copy of your page template code (probably in a private reply)
Have a great day!
