ParticipantI create a new event and at the same time create a new organizer.
When the event is created, I follow the “view event” link.
On the event page, I click on the organizer link.
I get a 404 error.
I’ve tried this on two different systems. The common denominator is that they have WPML installed. I don’t know if that’s the cause or not.I’m including the system information below. I’m also including log-on details. I know you don’t usually log on to customer sites, but this a test system specifically set up to test this problem. It’s not used for anything else, so the log-on is there if you want it.

MemberGood evening Keith and welcome back!
Thank you for reaching out to us. We are sorry to hear about the error 404 issues you have been experiencing.
We will gladly try to assist you on this topic.I just ran the same test as you with the exact same results.
It appears that this is a legitimate bug and it seems caused by the interaction with WPML.
What is happening is that the organizer doesn’t seem to be assigned a language upon creating the event.Unfortunately, I cannot commit to a release date for a fix at this point. But you will be contacted as soon as there is one.
In the meantime, I have found a work around that should allow you to continue using your site.
Here’s the breakdown:- Create your event exactly how you are doing right now
- Once published, while you are still in the Edit Event screen, right-click on the Edit Organizer link and open the link in a new tab
- Once in that new tab, just save the organizer (which will assign a language to it) and everything should work smoothly
Let me know if that helps.
Have a great day!

ParticipantHello Geoff,
Thanks for getting back to me. This is a major problem for me. I’m creating events with Community Events, with the Facebook Importer, programatically, and via the basic Event Creation page. It’s not clear which of those are affected by the bug. As Community Events appears to be a just a front-end to the Event Creation page, I imagine it will be present there. I’ve created a new thread to address the whole subject here.

MemberGood evening Keith,
I am sorry to hear about all the inconvenience this has caused and I definitely understand where you are coming from.
Based on the fact that you are now in my colleague George’s good hands, there is very little more I can do on this specific topic.
However, for what it’s worth, I want to thank you for helping us uncover this issue which in turn helps us make a better product.
Best regards,
Geoff B.
