Good morning Toni and welcome to the Events Calendar Support forum!

Thank you for reaching out to us.

We are sorry to hear about the incorrect translation.
I would love to help you with this topic.

Please note that sometimes the translation files packaged with the plugin are not always up to date. You can always get the latest version (and contribute to fixes) here: http://translations.theeventscalendar.com/projects

That being said, depending on the file, you might have to rename it to match the one found in your WordPress plugin directory (e.g.: remove words such as “stable” from the title of the language file)

If that still does not provide you with the correct German translation, would you mind, as a first troubleshooting step, providing us with your complete system information in a private reply using the instructions found in the following link?

Good morning Hannu and welcome back!

Thank you for reaching out to us.

We are sorry to hear about the events not appearing in the correct order.
I would love to help you with this topic.

That being said, I just did a quick test on your website and entered “heponiemi” in the “Etsi” field under the default list view and the results where returned in the correct sequence.

Have you changed anything since you wrote ?

In any case, although it is possible that this is a bug, it looks more like a result of a rule found in the functions.php or archive.php of your WordPress theme.

If the problem persists on your end, would you mind sharing a link (in a private reply) to a zip file containing your WordPress theme ?

    Best regards,

    Geoff B.

Good morning Arwyn and welcome to the Events Calendar Support forum!

Thank you for reaching out to us.

We are sorry to hear about the large number of hours spent on this :-s
I would love to help you with this topic.

Based on what you have shared I believe there is a simple explanation: the tickets will not appear until the start sale date is reached (in your case that is this morning).

So normally, you should be able to see the tickets now. If you want to run a quick test, you can see what happens when you remove the start sale date for a ticket.

If there is still an issue, as a first troubleshooting step, could you please provide us with your complete system information in a private reply using the instructions found in the following link?

Good morning Patrick and welcome back!

Thank you for reaching out to us.

We are sorry to hear about the error messages and loss of performance that seem to be caused by the Events Calendar Pro.
I would love to help you with this topic.

As a first troubleshooting step, could you please provide us with your complete system information in a private reply using the instructions found in the following link?

    https://theeventscalendar.com/knowledgebase/sharing-sys-info/

Secondly, could you also please go through our testing for conflicts procedure (preferably in a staging/dev environment or local install of your WordPress website) and let us know what you find out.

Basically the goal here is to revert back to a bare WordPress installation to see if the problem persists. It also allows us to pinpoint what the cause of the issue is.

Based on what you are describing, there is a fair chance the issue can be caused by a template customization (some custom piece of code found in the functions.php of your WordPress theme) or by a conflict.

Let me know how that goes.

    Best regards,
    Geoff B.

    Bonjour Benjamin,

    https://theeventscalendar.com/knowledgebase/sharing-sys-info/

    Geoff B.

    Hey Simon,

First, I am happy that removing these lines managed to get things working for you again.

There has been a substantial number of changes lately (including in WordPress 4.5.x). So as with any other piece of code (including the ones found on this forum), sometimes they need updating in order to continue working properly.

Recently, I have seen cases where there is a need to suppress filters for queries to work properly.
I suspect this might be the case here.

I can’t promise you anything, but I’d like to run the snippet by one of our DEV people to see if they can’t come up with an updated version.

    Have a great day!

    Good evening Fleur,

Thank you for your answer. That must be an awful issue to have. I’m sorry to hear about that.

By the looks of it I believe the cause of the issue is either:

    1. A template customization that no longer works after the update (usually an event calendar snippet of code found in the functions.php file of your WordPress theme OR in the /tribe-events/ folder of that same theme.
    2. A plugin conflict or theme conflict

There are a couple of ways to pinpoint what is causing this and hopefully find the quickest resolution possible:

    1. Go through our testing for conflicts procedure (preferably in a staging/dev environment or local install of your WordPress website) and let us know what you find out. Basically the goal here is to revert back to a bare WordPress installation to see if the problem persists.
    2. Quickly switch back to a default WordPress theme such as twenty-fifteen and see if the issue persist

Let me know how that goes.

    Best regards,
    Geoff B.

    Good evening Chris,

You are absolutely right, this is what the issue is! Thank you for finding that.

Unfortunately at this point, your only option will be to update the core file as admin views don’t work with our template customization guidelines from our Themer’s guide.
That being said, you will absolutely be informed as soon as the fix is out.

I wish I had a better answer for you, but for now it’s the best one I have.

    Have a good week-end,

    Geoff B.

    Hey Swami,

Thank you for your good words.

Before you update, I just want to issue a disclaimer (we just found out about this): the event list widget and the “This week’s events” widget are not returning events with Sensei 1.9.6

But the rest is fixed and we are working hard at ironing out these widget issues.

    Have a good week-end,

    Hey Scott,

Awesome! I’m glad you got things to work.

For your final look change, you can try the following:

    .tribe-mini-calendar-nav span {
    color: #000 !important;
    }

    Have a good week-end,

Is there anything else I can help you with today ?

    Hey Simon,

Thank you for providing all that information.

Based on looking at your files and based on your specific situation, I would like to clarify what I said earlier:

    1. As we release different updates of our plugins, there are some functions that change or get deprecated.
    2. As a result, if you have customizations that use some of these functions, they might break
    3. Furthermore, there were some important changes made in WordPress 4.5.x in the way some the filter queries are made

All that to say that I am pretty sure that the code that is causing the error is found in lines 15 to 22 of the functions.php file of your child theme.

Just to set expectations, as you might know, the scope of our support is mostly to get our customers started on the right track and to help them in case of issues. We unfortunately do not provide complete support for customization.

So my recommendation would be to temporarily remove these lines (if I’m not mistaking, this will also remove the events from your latest post feed) until you can repair that function OR hire one of our recommended customizers to fix the customization for you.

As per your second question, as far as I know, when you deactivate Pro, recurring events just become a bunch of separate events.

I wish I had a better answer for you, but for now it’s the best one I have.

Let me know if that helps.

    Have a great day!

    Hey @tribella,

    Thank you for that update.

We will definitely look into it. In the meantime, what would be awesome is if you could tell me which of the Event widgets you are referring to ?

    Best regards,

    Geoff B.
