ParticipantHello,
I noticed recently, that there’s a mistake in the text of the widget, but I couldn’t find where to fix it.
It should be “Veranstaltungen” instead of “veranstaltungen”. You can see it in the lower part of the webpage. Can you help me, please? Thank you.May 9, 2016 at 6:18 am #1112214Geoff B.
MemberGood morning Toni and welcome to the Events Calendar Support forum!
Thank you for reaching out to us.
We are sorry to hear about the incorrect translation.
I would love to help you with this topic. Please note that sometimes the translation files packaged with the plugin are not always up to date. You can always get the latest version (and contribute to fixes) here: http://translations.theeventscalendar.com/projects
That being said, depending on the file, you might have to rename it to match the one found in your WordPress plugin directory (e.g.: remove words such as “stable” from the title of the language file)
If that still does not provide you with the correct German translation, would you mind, as a first troubleshooting step, providing us with your complete system information in a private reply using the instructions found in the following link?

Best regards,

MemberGood afternoon Toni,
Thank you for sharing your system information. Unfortunately, I cannot access your website as your firewall is blocking my country (Canada).
Could you either:
- Add Canada to the authorized country list (at least while we figure this out)
- Send me a screenshot of your site with the seemingly faulty translation ?
Furthermore, did you take a look at the translation archives I sent you ?
Best regards,
Geoff B.

MemberGood evening Toni,
Thank you for unblocking Canada and for providing additional info such as the screenshot.
The string you are interested in translating can be found here: http://translations.theeventscalendar.com/projects/tribe-events-calendar-pro/de/default?page=9
As you can tell by looking at the details of that string, “veranstaltungen” is actually generated in that string by using the %s variable.
This leaves you with a couple of options:
- Hardcode “Veranstaltungen” in place of the %s variable for that string – which is the simplest solution
- Use a snippet such as this one to systematically replace “veranstaltungen” by “Veranstaltungen” whenever possible: https://theeventscalendar.com/knowledgebase/change-the-wording-of-any-bit-of-text-or-string/
Let me know if that helps.
Have a great day!
