ParticipantI was checking out plugins to see why I wasn’t able to login from the main site to the subsite and it seems that the Events PRO is causing a 502 error and the login times out. When its turned off, I can login.

ParticipantSorry for having the different posts but I went in to add some new events and the date calendar isn’t popping up and I can’t add to recurring event. I included a screen shot.

MemberGood morning Patrick and welcome back!
Thank you for reaching out to us.
We are sorry to hear about the error messages and loss of performance that seem to be caused by the Events Calendar Pro.
I would love to help you with this topic. As a first troubleshooting step, could you please provide us with your complete system information in a private reply using the instructions found in the following link?
https://theeventscalendar.com/knowledgebase/sharing-sys-info/
Secondly, could you also please go through our testing for conflicts procedure (preferably in a staging/dev environment or local install of your WordPress website) and let us know what you find out.
Basically the goal here is to revert back to a bare WordPress installation to see if the problem persists. It also allows us to pinpoint what the cause of the issue is.
Based on what you are describing, there is a fair chance the issue can be caused by a template customization (some custom piece of code found in the functions.php of your WordPress theme) or by a conflict.
Let me know how that goes.
Best regards,

MemberGood afternoon Patrick,
Thank you for sharing your system information.
It’s unfortunate that the glitch seems to be caused by using our Widgets with Visual Composer.
That being said, I am also noticing that you are several versions behind on our the Events Calendar Pro plugin.
Prior to trying anything else, I would recommend upgrading that plugin to the latest version (4.1.2)
Let me know how that goes.
Best regards,

ParticipantUpdate downloaded. Are you saying now that I shouldn’t have a conflict with using VC and Events Pro?
Also, where do I get notices about updates on your plugins? Thanks

MemberGood evening Patrick,
Are you saying now that I shouldn’t have a conflict with using VC and Events Pro?
In my experience the type of issue you were experiencing can be caused by using an older version of a plugin combined with the newer version of another.
This is especially true with major upgrades such as WP 4.5.x where the way to do certain things changed significantly.
I cannot guarantee that this fixes everything, but most of the time it helps.
Also, where do I get notices about updates on your plugins?
In order to get the update notices, I recommend entering your license number in Events -> Settings -> Licenses
Finally, I will run that last error message by our DEV team and see what their advice on it is tomorrow.
Best regards,
Geoff B.

MemberGood afternoon Patrick,
As promised, I ran this by our team members, here are a couple of take away items from that conversation:
- The event that is causing the remaining message seems to be private (http://residents.scgccmulti.wpengine.com/?post_type=tribe_events&p=4161%2F/). Would you mind sharing screenshots of the Edit Event screen for this one ?
- It looks like there is an issue between some template customization done with your WordPress theme and that specific event. Could you please send me a link to a zip file containing your theme ?
Best regards,
Geoff B.

MemberHi Patrick,
I ran this by our lead programmer.
Based on the fact that you are using multisite and that the $wpdb variable is the one impacted, he’s 100% positive that there is another one of your plugins that’s impacting the $wpdb variable in an unwanted way, thus creating the error message. As suggested before, unfortunately, the only way to identify the culprit would be to go through our complete testing for conflicts procedure (preferably in a staging/dev environment or local install of your WordPress website) and let us know what you find out.
I wish I had a better answer for you, but for now it’s the best one I have.
Best regards,
Geoff B.
